er... My apologies for correcting you, the mite is not a blood sucker. It burrows in the stratum corneum ( ie the horny layer of skin), and lives on tissue fluid.
If the parasite is off the host (ie. human) for 3 or more days, esp. if the air is dry and warm, it will die, or will become unable to burrow. These things tend to dry out, unless it is cold and humid.
IMHO understanding the biology and lifecycle of the parasite , so that you can intelligently target chose and time treatment and preventing reinfection are key.
Ive left ceiling fans on in every rm to dry out scabies. Seems tb working. I also use back massager on itchy arms to vibrate them to death. Seems to work. Kleen green soap works too for me

Friends of ours from the next town over were saying that they got a new dog and are now infested with scabies and can't afford the medication the doctor has prescribed. I came here searching for some answers, but after reading page after page, I'm confused.
I know that rosemary oil is a natural repellant for head lice, but I searched the forum and can't find a single post referring to this as a treatment.
Has anyone tried Rosemary oil?
Also, has anyone tried Aloe straight from the plant?

Yes, I understand that people use clove oil, but obviously with varying results. Like I said... Has ANYONE tried Rosemary oil?

HALELUJA! I went to a dermatologist last week after having some really bad breakouts... I was really starting to get worried... Anyway, he said that what I had was a post-scabies irritation. He said that my scabies had been gone for a while but my skin was still having an allergic reaction to what I had before. He gave me some Vanos cream and things have been fine ever since. Some of you who are feeling hopeless, perhaps you're experiencing the same problem... in this case, more pesticides would be no help.
Go to a dermatologist! They are like Gods! Ask if it could be this post-scabies thing!
Good luck to you all my itchy friends!
Cortisone will make things worse if you have even one egg on you. It will weaken your immune system and allow it spread. Be careful!

If you were not cured by oral ivermectin then you have resistant scabies and topicals will not penetrate the skin deep enough to cure. Valbazen is your only next step. It is the oral liquid form of Albendazole and it kills all parasites and their offspring in 30 days if you follow the protocol to the letter. I was cured by Valbazen.

I took advice from another forum to mix grapeseed oil with diatomaceous earth and spread on affected area for ten days. Definitely worked though I have been re infected in new places . I am probably coming into contact with the same people because of my job. I am reading here about what else to do. Washing with castile soap regularly makes sense so I am going to try that as well. The itching goes on for weeks but I can tell the difference in feeling from active mites after the DE and grapeseed oil mixture. This is stressful. My heart to all of you

I suffered with scabies for 8 months. The first 5 months I thought I had posing ivy. The last 4 months I went through 4 tubes of permethrin, 2 rounds of prescription stroemectol and a dose of horse ivermectin paste for insurance. These traditional treatments killed almost all of the mites; however almost is equal to a complete fail since just a few remaining mites will continue to spread. I was FINALLY cured by using kleen free naturally. I bathed in it in hot water 3 nights in a row and then every other night. It's completely non toxic so I felt safe dunking my head and scalp in the bath water and irrigating my ears as the mites were breeding and living in my ears. Talk about a nightmare. The kleen free naturally works beautifully and gently. I also washed my clothes in borax , vacuumed every day and changed bedding every couple of days. Nothing obsessive. Cured. Happy. Kleen free naturally works people! I don't work for them - just want to help others who are suffering the way I was.

My partner and I have been battling for 10 months now. Been through Tea Tree, Been through gallons of Acticin. Love Ivermectin...
The Doctors here in Phoenix think we are Delusional Pruritis (sp?) which means they think it is in our heads.
Recently we took Oral Ivermectin, then repeated one week later and treated the cats with the same course. We were clear for 2 weeks since the last dose of Ivermectin.
My partner and I describe the itch and "Creepy Crawly" sensations on a scale of 1 to 10. We were both "zero" for 2 weeks, but Thursday (10/5/2006) we were both about a 4 to 6 and getting worse. He's been out of town for a week also, away from the house and cats and sheets and everything.
Only thing I figure is the Ivermectin kills most of the mites but the eggs remain?
This is a tough thing to get rid of. If you think you have it, I feel bad for you. Get a stockpile of every chemical you can and blast it hard. Do NOT be shy.
Thankfully I just received a "lifetime" supply of Ivermectin and am back on it now.
What? What do u mean by a "lifetime" supplY?
Can people please try to be super specific on these forums ?

My daughter got scabies from a poor community in the Dominican Republic. After being treated for an allergic reaction for weeks she wasn't getting better. We saw a different dermatologist who diagnosed her in 5 minutes. She has taken several doses of Ivermectin and was getting better. She just broke out again with huge bites and realized she never threw out her memory foam mattress topper. She threw it out today and is on another 2 rounds of ivermectin. Hopefully this will do the trick after 2 months of bites and insane itchiness. Scabies are awful!

Thank you for sharing this info! How much did you put in the bath water? My Wife is going on a year suffering from a seriously resistant form of scabies. Ivermectin is not working. Subsided it for her a bit, yes. But still suffering and going out of her mind with this. I found the Kleen Free online and want to get her some to bath in like you did. thanks for any help.

hi enzymes are effective on bugs

... When Kleen Green is introduced to an insect, the enzymes act and cause the insect to molt (shed its outer coating) prematurely, killingthe insect. These enzymesare becomingwidelyacceptedin the field of pest removal, becausethey leave no toxic residues and the enzymatic effect on the insect exoskeletonis quick and safe
