your local health dept.. they have to! they have infectious control dr on staff, and they all have one.. they operate under state dept of health, but it is a federal program.. if they say no, tell them u called cdc, n the cdc told u to bring them there.. lol, don't take no for answer from health dept..
Man...your health dept. must be better than the one I went to.....at the time whenever I was able to find the little black specks(adults maybe) I would get some clear tape and when I asked them to PLEASE look at it under a microscope they said no....that they wouldn't do it.....I called the cdc and all they did for me was go over their scabies guidelines....which I already knew.....so they gave me another "bigger city" public health dept. and they told me that they didn't have a nurse on staff at all...that I needed to see our reg dr or the derm. I'm currently seeing.....talked to them on Friday and they said my son and bf needed to get referrals from their reg drs to get in........okay so this has to go on for another 6mo-yr!!!??? This is the craziest thing I've ever been through in my life......Monday after/before my classes I'll call? Go into? the local health dept and see if they will look.....do you think I should call or just go in with them? Also....I'm gonna look for those black walnuts you were talking about....do you just get them from a reg store like walmart or Kroger? Or health food store? I can't tell you how much info you have given me....very VERY grateful! Also....are you and your family still dealing with this or are you scabies free now? LOL...I mighgt have asked that before but my head is just spinning over this!

Oh I believe your not a scammer....no problems there...you have been very helpful...just trying to get as many suggestions/info as possible.....I live in a tiny town of only like 200 people so with the closest places around are like 20-30 mins away.....fun fun. plus drs around here are thinking this is no big deal and I don't think most of them really care..esp since I guess not showing all of the "typical" signs.......looking into finding another derm/dr that takes a medical card from the state, hard to find any place that takes state aid.....as I've mentioned before...this problem has drained us of the money needed to take care of this....:( please tell me there is hope in all this and it will go away soon!

Oh yeah another question...sorry so many.....but I've been spraying the plastic cover and the box springs on my bed with 100% bleach and sometimes just letting it air dry....does this kill them on those or should I be wiping the bleach off....same question for bathroom floors....I'm new to all this so I don't know if I'm doing this right or not. should I also spray the outside/inside of the washer and dryer with bleach/vinegar or just bleach? leave as is or wipe it off....ugh so many questions...again I'm sorry.

Petroleum Jelly can treat scabies away! Use it as needed. Tea tree oil also is effective. It contains anti parasitic properties that kills bacteria.

Hi
I've got a question. I had a 'minor' scabies that just got diagnosed last week. I believe I caught it from renting a room from a woman whose house looked clean on the surface but turned out to be very dirty. I say minor because my itch was never severe....until now.
Used permetherin 1 week ago today. Checked myseld into a hotel for 3 days. Moved out of dirty house. Then 3 days later I've got intense itching and all these tiny bumps ALL over my arms now. Before they were clusters of bumps that resembled mosquito bites and not too many of them. Now they're individual little bumps. Almost like a heat rash or a sensitivity to the neem oil or borax in my laundry. I'd like to think they're some kind of reaction- but they itch.
Do u think they're scabies? I've got about 100 spread out small bumps covering my arms, plus the little the original clusters of about 10 bumps that look like bites and what I'm used to.
Thanks for any insight.

My family is using kleen free enzyme cleaner which is pretty much identical to kleen green, plus it's cheaper. We're having success with it and we're doing other things with it. I haven't found it locally, probably since I live in a small town so I ordered it online. If you enable messaging on your profile (go to settings) I can tell you more.

I saw a post by Ksp about using kleen green on the "How To Stop The Crawling And Biting Sensations From Mites" thread. It was on the last page.

I had the same problem. I got scabies off my boyfriend who was wrongly diagnosed with eczema for months. When I went to the doctor and was told i also had eczema also, I knew it was something else. So i got the treatment for scabies and so did he. I was told to apply peremith, then again a week later.

After the first treatment, I was still getting bites, the little buggers don't give up without a fight. My boyfriend applied it daily, and his skin began clearing up within a few days. So ignoring the doctors advice, I stocked up on peremith, and began applying in once every 2 days. Scabie eggs hatch every 2-3 days, so this way, I was killing the little shits before they had a chance to even burrow. I changed my bed sheets every time I applied the treatment too and wash clothes immediately after wearing them. My 3rd treatment of the week, the itching calmed completely, the bite and burrows were fading and I felt a lot more in control of my skin. i finished my last treatment last night,(a week since my first treatment) and no bites have appeared. Because I have sensitive skin, I have had the odd rash from my skin reacting to the scabies treatment, and my skin is very dry. I've been applying sudocreme after every shower and before bed at night, and this seems to be calming down the rashes and healing my skin up nicely. Obviously, spacing out treatments harms your skin a lot less, but I found every 2-3 days really speeds up the killing process and these disgusting little mites.

Overall, applying peremith 2-3 days over a week does the trick, but you may have to accept dealing with allergy rashes afterwards, but in my experience, I would rather be suffering from that than scabies!!

The video doesn't give any tips about getting rid of them, it directs you to go to a link for a $37.00 "guide" for getting rid of scabies. Save your $$ and google how to get rid of scabies or just read posts from the scabies forum.

I took neem leaves, its a natural antiseptic, antiinflamatory etc etc. crushed it into the grinder into a paste and applied it on the body. let it stay there for 15 mins and take a bath. next day try the same thing. also boil the leaves and drink 1 tbsp two three times a day(its bitter like hell) but makes ur blood and body tissues like poison for these mites.
i used 3 bedsheets which i slept on, washed it the other day and replaced it with another one, every day i changed my bedsheet with another one that was not used for 3 days atleast. kept cycling my clothes too and finally after 8 days all off!!!! neem leaves work the first night but we need to continue treatment for the eggs to finish

I made this Facebook page because I have suffered from Scabies for eight long years. Come read about the research I have done and what doctors won't tell you because they don't know anything or can't diagnose it, or won't admit it because they are afraid of being called delutional like you and me.

Hi there I had scabies in the month of January hot them from my daughter and she got them from her daycare. I couldn't get the creams since I have no insurance. What I would do is take a cold bath. Use hand sanitizer everywhere let that dry and use tree oil and neep and other oils and got rid of them just sucks I still have the marks. My daughter on the other hand has had the creams, syrup etc and still has them in her hands n feet. Geh

I hope you all listen to this. I have had drug resistant scabies for 3 months and I found a combination of treatments that works. I am scabies free now.
1) Ichthammol ointment and frontline plus, mix and apply all over body for 2-3 hours
Do this for 4-5 days. Shave your thick body hair and apply to scalp. Take a cold shower before application to reduce sweat-out. Rub ointment when sweat develops.
2) wipe skin down with paper towels,(DO NOT WASH!).
Discard the paper towels into an air tight plastic bag. The mites that were drawn out by ichthammol will be trapped in the tar-like solution.
At this point you may see oozing bumps water with a yellowish tint. This is the enzyme mixture the mites use to eat your skin. The ichthammol has drawn it out. Do not wash-cloth shower, rinse off quickly without soap, leave the ichthammol treatment on your skin, you will look like you have tanner skin (an added benefit).
3) Post treat with a dose of frontline and witch hazel, abot 1/8 cup all over body.
The post treatment assures that stragglers are killed. Ichthammol will soften your skin and allow the treatment to better penetrate the mites.
4) Mix a dose of frontline and witch hazel in a small bottle for spot treatments throughout the day.
Yes, you need to be attentive and spot treat every day, be dilligent.
5) Sanitize your environment with sulfur candles home and car.
6) Bake all clothing and bedding at 250F for 20 minutes in an oven (ALL CLOTHING!)
I would bake my dirty clothes and then put them in the hamper. Do not give a living space for mites, they will take it.
7) Invest in lysol spray, I buy the walmart equivalent, many many cans, spray tooth brush, combs, razors, shower/bath areas, chairs, everything.
Do this for one week and you will rid yourself of mites like I did,

I agree with you. Buy TONS of Ivermectin and 10% Sulfur soap. Use it daily for.......well, forever!

My partner and I have been battling for 10 months now. Been through Tea Tree, Been through gallons of Acticin. Love Ivermectin...
The Doctors here in Phoenix think we are Delusional Pruritis (sp?) which means they think it is in our heads.
Recently we took Oral Ivermectin, then repeated one week later and treated the cats with the same course. We were clear for 2 weeks since the last dose of Ivermectin.
My partner and I describe the itch and "Creepy Crawly" sensations on a scale of 1 to 10. We were both "zero" for 2 weeks, but Thursday (10/5/2006) we were both about a 4 to 6 and getting worse. He's been out of town for a week also, away from the house and cats and sheets and everything.
Only thing I figure is the Ivermectin kills most of the mites but the eggs remain?
This is a tough thing to get rid of. If you think you have it, I feel bad for you. Get a stockpile of every chemical you can and blast it hard. Do NOT be shy.
Thankfully I just received a "lifetime" supply of Ivermectin and am back on it now.
