bleach does work! i have found it doesn't have to be that strong though.. for your skins sake! olive oil thick head to toe also brings to surface so you can get mite identified.. don't think it kills them though.. dawn does too! orange scented sprays help repel.. many carry these without symptoms! we all did in our house 8 months except our baby, and his symptoms were not classical scabies symptoms.. highly contagious! everyone around you needs to treat, including pets.. they don't live on pets but can pass through them! antihistamines help greatly in reducing symptoms.. bleach works for sure though!

vinegar/water 50/50 mix with little borax works very good spraying around house, beds, furniture, etc on helping eliminate quicker too without staining.. our house smells like big pickle, but it has worked! if u keep getting, eliminate as much contact w others until they start treating, whether they show signs or not.. and remember to spray vehicles and work areas, etc.. makes huge difference! can also sprinkle carpets n beds with borax n arm hammer detergent and leave for over night or couple days if no little kids or pets.. cation though, avoid getting on skin, it burns! don't do peroxide n borax or whatever, it is not good ideal! peroxide by its self doesn't burn, but doesn't work good though.. and dawn n bleach dries skin out quick and makes skin sensitive.. keep moisturized, antihistamines, and give skin break and let heal.. these are possible to beat! keep a can do attitude!

thank you bran0406......I have started (only twice) with borax/peroxide baths....don't help. tried spraying the bed cover with straight bleach, Lysol wipes....don't help either.....down to wearing 2 outfits that I wash everyday in liquid a&h w/ borax and 1 pair of sleep clothes....washed daily and dried.....3 pair of shoes....washed the same way as mentioned tried cleaning the floors with Swiffer mop....didn't help. what can I use? on a house that has NO CARPETING used disinfectant wipes....no help! I'm about ready to just leave the house and stay at a hotel/hotel hop for a month but I don't know? so scared to spread this to someone else....I wouldn't wish this on anyone!!!!! haven't hugged my son since all this started!:{ same for my boyfriend....that is the part that hurts the most.....not being able to be around my son for fear that he might get this.....if he doesn't already have it and not showing symptoms....is that even possible....with all of this starting since at least Nov? I don't get it....we do have a cat....I believe she has them....but she stays in the basement where the washer and dryer are.....I know this isn't animal scabies....as I know its human scabies....since I have seen the larvae come from my skin....just need some help....I cant take this much more.

Additional information on curing scabies: I am no professional but here are a few suggestions.(1) Clean up daily; Vacuum, steam and use Lysol with oxy clean on all hard surfaces. Use Arm & Hammer laundry detergent add oxy clean laundry booster. Note the oxy is a form of bleach and may fade your darks. I handle my laundry with a long pair of tongs, gloves were not enough. I mop my laundry room after every use too. If you have a steam setting on your washer use it. I sometimes microwave a shirt, socks or a scarf too, that way I can reuse it without washing it.(2) Wash your hair in the sink to avoid mites jumping back on you in the shower. Use Oxg Coconut shampoo and conditioner. Rinse with ice cold water at the last minute.(3) Bath time: Use Dead Sea salt and peroxide in your bath, a lot of it like two cups of salt per bath ND 16oz or more of peroxide. Dip your head and body in the tub for 20 minutes. I also use the exfoliating gloves to scrub them right out of my skin. Once they dig into your skin, it will take the gloves to pull them out.(4) Rub 10 percent clove oil and Hollywood tea tree oil all over from head to toe,(keep rubbing for fifteen minutes) after 15 min spread an oil gel on like Vaseline oil gel, baby oil gel or aloe vera gel.(5) Kill them in your scalp if you need it; find a hair gel for your hair. After your hair dries dry spread the Hollywood tea tree and 10 percent clove oil over your hair. THAT IS THE NIGHT ROUTINE... During the day spread virgin coconut oil all over. This will build your immune system in your body from the outside. Scabies hate coconut oil and love the sugars and caffeine. I also take coconut oil supplements along with garlic and fish oil. This will build your immune system from the inside out. The better your immune system the easier it is to rid yourself of them.(This was my biggest problem; I had very dry skin.) Essential to healing yourself from scabies; sanitize your home, raise your immune system, use virgin coconut oil, dead sea salt and peroxide, Aloe Vera or Vaseline oil gel, ice cold water in your hair and body, boiling water where ever it can be applied (like in the shower or tub before and after use), Armor Hammer & Oxy clean detergents, Hollywood tea tree oil and clove oil. Good luck.

Is it best to use liquid or powder detergent? I've been using liquid and have just started(as of last night) using Borax with it.
How should I clean the floors though....since there is no carpeting. And how do I get the other family members drs. to treat them with no symptoms?
Also....how many doses of Stromectol and Permethrin do I need to do if I've had these for along time...like I said...since at least Nov.? I don't know....at this point any information is welcomed. Plus....should I leave my home for awhile...like a month while doing treatment? Will the mites and eggs die after that time....? How long does it all take!?

I use liquid Arm & Hammer and powdered Oxy Clean laundry booster in my clothes. I use lemon Lysol and the same oxy laundry booster powder on my floors, about a cup each for a two or three gallon bucket. However I try to iron, or steam, or microwave anything that I have worn in the last week.

If you can leave your house then you can beat this thing. I would stay away a month or two weeks minimum. Just make sure where every you go you keep it sanitized. I sleep in deferent places around the house. I have seen on this form that leather is the easiest to clean. I have also seen floor steamers as low as $70.

I would try to get them to take a Dead Sea salt bath with peroxide. Give your family the oil gel to spread all over as well. That will keep the mites at bay. The gel suffocates the mites, keep their vitamins up, drink lots of water. The immune system is everything. .

Waiting on my tax refund and college aid money to do anything....this has pretty much broke us...using all the money on doctor visits and meds. So....pretty much feel hopeless at this point but am trying. I have only used the washer and dryer...no steam cleaning or ironing as we don't have those but will definatly get those once I have the money. I'm thinking of going to a hotel or hotel hopping but so scared of staying infested or giving this to someone else....never been so scared in all of my life! I know there are worse things and I have been through a lot in my 29 years....but this....just knowing something so small that can such a big problem....its like fighting a brick wall....its winning.....I just want it gone! As I realize most people do. How long have you been suffering with this? Thank you again for all you have suggested...its kind of "nice" knowing that there are other people out there with the same problem....feeling very alone with this.

you are not alone! stop wasting money on doctors, scabies have been resistant to the meds they prescribe for long time, their information is outdated. you don't need to hotel hop. go to Walmart and buy bleach, biggest white vinegar, borax, dawn dish liquid, a couple spray bottles, disposable gloves, and antihistamines, 24 hr kind. also buy a good lotion with aloe vera. after killing these off of you and cleaning your environment up, you all will want to get black walnuts to eat, they say extract is very good putting on body too, but idk for sure.. i have seen that my parent n laws eat couple handfuls black walnuts every day, and they did not catch these! fish oil too. alot of people carry these for long time without symptoms.. use dawn initially to wash head to toe in bath. put about 1 part bleach to 10 parts water to spray body with after shower. use a lot of dawn for a week to initially kill, but don't use to point of skin getting too dry, gage this off how sensitiveyour skin is. moisturize it. we mixed half n half vinegar and water with about a 1/4 cup, maybe little less of arm hmer detergent and borax equally mixed, add this last over sink, it bubbles up some, but works really good spraying everything good. bag clothes and shoes every time u come home, spray good and close bags, place out of way.. try hard to not cross contaminate, spray everything frequently, clean very good, sprinkle carpets with borax and arm hammer equally mixed, leave for couple days if possible.. limit outside sources as much as possible, get friends/family to treat or avoid till your completely healed and see if black walnuts work as repellent.. assume all contacts are contaminated.. avoid as much toxins as possible, they don't seem to work, but repeated usage could cause long term effects possibly.. start taking antihistamines, they do help a lot, at least for all of us they have.. post ur progress, so others can see what works.. watch out for spammers here too

Where did you get the Benzemul? And are you using the stromectol or horse past iver?

Hey bran...I noticed you said you had your mites sent to be identified.....where/how did you get that done? I've tried to have drs. look at what I bring in and they say that can't/won't look at them under a microscope.....I live in Illinois so if you have any answers...that would be great!:)
