I'm not convinced of that at all. A few years back, I had a dog who had mange, that had puppies, and the puppies got it as well.(She was being treated, and she had it when we got her but I didn't know it until a couple weeks later.) Right at that same time, my children and I all got scabies, a bad case, and I fully believe it was from the dogs. No other explanation and couldn't have been just coincidence. Even though I told them not to, they handled the puppies and then a week later we were all infested. Others have had this happen as well, so I don't believe that, no matter what vet says it.

I will look into ALLSTOP as well but let me say as an AHT(Animal Health Tech) you did NOT GET HUMAN SCABIES FROM YOUR DOGS OR CATS!!! The mange scabie will go from animal to human but not for long. They will not breed and will soon die out. The human scabie is related to the Mange scabie but it is different. I know I know you can't imagine where else you got human scabies and it is an easy presumption to look to your pets first but this is simply not the case. Mange scabies die on humans after s short time. Human scabies persist and will require a rational mind. AND PLEASE PLEASE STOP PUTTING ANIMAL PRODUCTS ON YOUR BODY! These products have different standards than human products and can do certain damage to your central nervous systems. You have to be outta your mind to be shampooing with Sargents products or ANY ANIMAL PRODUCTS!

READ IF YOU HAVE SCABIES. I have a cure story. I suffered from this god-awful parasite for 4 months. Dont let that scare you though. I only had it so long because I was misdiagnosed and treated for a fungus which only worsened my condition. You can beat it. Permethrin cream works. Go to the doctor, tell them u think you have scabies, and if they dont agree then ask them to do a SCRAPE test on your skin bumps. You apply almost half of the bottle to your whole body from neck to toes. Cant miss a spot. If you have heavy pubic hair, then cut it down so you can rub the cream into your skin. You can only apply the cream every 5 days or you WILL get a horrible rash. Also cut your finger nails and put the cream in all 10 of them. Between every 5 days you can apply Tea tree oil. Costs about 3.50 at cvs in the hair section. This almost completely stops the itch. Its what makes it possible not to scratch. Scratching is the main cause of spreading these mites. After 1 or 2 treatments(10-12 days) the mites in your skin will all be dead. It takes 2 days for them to die, but it takes about 2 weeks for their dead bodies to stop irritating your skin. If you have any cream left then you may need to spot-treat any areas that look like you're being reinfected. Being reinfected is no joke. It takes 3 days without human contact, intense heat, or washing in hot water to sterilize any clothes/furniture. You MUST take steps to disinfect your belongings including shoes(you can spray the insides with lysol of you cant put them in the dryer). Your best friend when disinfecting your belongings will be your dryer and your iron. Iron everything with steam before wearing, and either wash, or dry anything after you wear it. It is necessary trust me. You have to kill these mites from all angles if you hope to rid yourself. Take it from me, a 20-something southerner who beat this evil disease. There is hope

I contacted scabies from my wolfdog, and I have been trying to get rid of them for a year.I have used many products, but, now, I feel I am cured, but I will not stop my regiment fighting them for a long time. I sent for a product off the Internet called , ALLSTOP. It has helped me so much, I dont itch any more. I found out that scabies cannot survive in Enzymes, so I wash my clothes every time I wear them, and bedding everyday in enzyme soap. I spray my house and dog and all areas where we live with Enzymes liquid spray. You can purchase enzymes at Animal feed stores in gallon jugs. Also, you can purchase enzymes at a health food store to eat and help digestion. I am eating them everyday. I also bought Seargents , Gold, flea and tick killer shampoo to wash my hair in. It smells pleasant and doesnt affect my hair condition.I also bought Diamascus Earth powder for my dog and carpets.I have so much sorrow in my heart for you who have contacted this terrible disease. I know how bad they can be. They were in my eyes, nose, ears, mouth, hair, vagina and all over my body. I couldnt sleep and I became so discouraged, I decided, if I couldnt find a cure for this I didnt want to live. I went to 5 doctors and everyone of them didnt help me at all. I hope my information will give you some hope and maby some ideas on how to get rid of these nasty bugs .
. I have been suffering with mites for 6 months. Doctors are completely lost with this issue. I just bought enzymes liquid from Green Kleen.
I hope it works. I wish you lots prayers and Gods love in your heroic efforts. Jane

Hi , how do you know if you are cured? I applied permethrin 6x in the past 2 weeks and used sulphur soap and bleach soaks. Now my rashes which used to be bumps are red and flat and they hurt a bit and looks scabby. I still get itchy before sleeping though. Does this mean the mites are still there and im allergic to sulfur or is this part of the healing process? I also noticed new reddish heat rash looking marks on my neck after the perm treatment. Thanks

Listen, I don't know who you are... We've already discussed ivermectin. This is the med that cures scabies. it appears that you have been using topicals too much. You are only supposed to use permethrin cream once a week for no more than 4 weeks. You are smart enough to know not to use this topical as often as you have. You are a troll here and you post the same question all over this forum. It is obvious you are overtreating. Even you and Fred also known as Shondatime also known as Laquisha can understand THIS.

If I had only used permethrin for 4 weeks I would have committed suicide a long time ago. I use pwrmethrin powder by Bayer when I am gettng low on perm. And I have true scsbies...Tunnels, the works. That person is probably as desperate as I am to find a cure... I had an ignorant nurse tell me scabies does not go on for years. She did not tell me at which year it spontaneously cures itself Stupid people.

My family of four beat it with using permithrin head to toe...do head ears everywhere...Leave on overnite at least 12-14 hours. and the following...
Bought covers for all beds and pillows and wiped them down everyday. Did bedding in tide and borax hot wash and dried load extra long on hot. Separate cloths and towels, for all washed daily. New washed clothed were put in sealed bags for four days before wearing again. Everybody slept with sheets only to minimize washing.
Washed down all frequently surfaces that are sat or used frequently. Or put towel/ sheet on and change daily.
Added some neem oil and tea tree oil to shampoo, hand soap and washed hands frequently. Daily showers...no bathing to contaminate anyone else.
Remotes, phones computers washed down daily with homemade borax spray. bagged ipads, remotes...Toys were changed daily so not holding the same things constantly as we had them on our hands.
I also used diatomaceous earth and sprinkled it everywhere...all carpets, on boxsping, legs of beds.
Finally...when down to a few spots...just let it be as became paranoid not knowing what was scabies or not.... and it went away after a long 2 month fulltime battle. It is draining and a full time job to beat this...especially if you have kids who like to play on the floor etc.,

P.s....also cut nails short before treatments and wore Clean gloves when doing others beds, vacuuming, wiping etc.,
Also, I think its important to note...do your head( scalp) and youl will be itchy after permithrin treatments but it should go away..

These are posts from DE sales people. Don't pay attention to their psycho babble. They are selling and making money off of YOU!!
Diatomaceous Earth does not cure scabies and does nothing for scabies. It is harmful to your lungs and does not kill scabies in the environment, either.

My family and I have been battling these things for three months and one thing I can tell u is this!...if your looking for help from your doctor its not gonna happen.I've been to four doctors and there all clueless when it comes to scabies.I've tried the perm.and it does more harm than good. My 7 yr old son and I were shaking and dizzy from it and still having side effects...at this point i'm still trying everything u guys have posted but all i'm doing is keeping them at bay and am now on nerve pills because i'm about crazy!
Tip for using permithrin products.

Only apply when your skin is cool and dry. If you apply after a hot bath or straight after a hot shower your body will absorb small amounts of permithrin and enter your blood stream. This will cause dizziness and shaking.

I actually purchased the Allstop last week. My daughter was the 1st to have symptoms. I had never heard of scabies and was treating her for dry skin, allergies, etc. When I finally figured out that she had scabies, myself, and my husband started having symptoms. We received our allstop products in the mail on Thursday, treated our mattresses, our furniture, carpets, shoes, and any and every piece of clothes we had wore got washed. We went to a hotel for 3 days as my husband had read that the mites cannot survive after 3 days without a host. We followed all the procedures while at the hotel. We bought the body wash, the spray, salve, mattress pads, disinfectant spray, everything! We are still itching, having the stinging bites, and bumps, and I am very disapointed in this product. I spent $300 on the Allstop,$150 on hotel, and at least $200 just to wash all of the clothes. So $650 later, we still have the problem! And my husband is unemployed and we just spent bill money to try and stop this itch!!!!! I would not advise the Allstop personally because we haven't gotten any relief! The salve(on the site) states that it is suppose to KILL the mites, however, the salve is the exact same ingredients as the spray which says it cleanses and removes debris and irritants. It says nothing about it killing anything!!! Please don't waste your money, and their "money back guarantee" is only for $200 MAX!!!! So I am just OUT the extra $100 I spent. I know we all get very desperate to find a cure, but this one is not it!!!! I have followed all the procedures it says to follow and went a step further by going to a hotel. I hope and pray we can find a solution before it gets to the point of where some of you guys have been. I do not want my children to mentally scared because of this

So now you have exposed many other people to your scabies by syaying at a place where the mattresses and towels and sheets will be cotaminated. Wow.

I know you are experienced, but there is a demodex mite that comes from pets that CAN live on humans. It can. and it is very stubborn to get rid of on certain people.
