Please read the CDC articles below on how to treat your environment & yourself. Go to an urgicare place ($100). Tell them you came into contact with someone with crusted scabies and that you were advised to seek immediate proactive treatment regardless of any lack of symptoms. This will save you much grief in trying to convince typically sceptic MDs. If your case is light, two treatments a week apart of permethrin 5% cream applied, after showering & drying, EVERYWHERE but immediately around the eyes. Leave on 8-14 hours. Wash clothes and refer to CDC guidance on other cleaning. Upon awaking, wash bedding, deposit clothes directly into wash, shower & wear disposable gloves while doing additional cleaning. If heavier infestation, be sure you are prescribed Ivermectin as well, 200 micrograms per Kg of body weight, twice a week apart. Same cleaning required with each treatment. If extremely severe & very crusted, day 1/2/7/8/14/15/22/29 Ivermectin & permethrin, plus permetrin daily for first week, then twice a week after until cured. Use alcohol to swab personal items, bag items for 4 days, follow the CDC guidance. Don't try to beat this with some of the hocus pocus on these boards. Both of the drugs referenced above can be harmful, ivermectin can cause seizures, permethrin is a neurotoxin that can make you a bit slow, so get a Drs guidance, but inform yourself & come prepared to refer them to these links if some prodding is needed to provoke action by Drs often more focused on covering their behinds.(Seizures &/or brain damage = lawsuit; suffering from scabies prolonged by failure to treat = Unlikely to ever be provably linked back to the Dr)

Bre19,

One of the gentlest and most effective treatments for scabies is the regular daily use of sulfur soap. However it must be used correctly and the environment must be properly cleaned as well, although the routine involved can be relatively simple. The key to success is regularity and persistence. To save time, go to the Thread entitled, "Removing Scabies from your Environment" or just hit the below Link and scroll down to and read my Posts #221, 222, 223, 224, 225, and 227, which have been very helpful for others as indicated by the judgement indicators at the bottom of each Post.

I have always relied on prescription drugs every time I get sick or whenever's something's wrong with my body. My health anxiety is worse than anyone I know in my circle. So when I contracted scabies, I'm probably just like one of the millions of scabies patients out there who ran to the doctor's office several time, asked for different meds with potencies ranging from low to high. My friend recommended a naturopath and he told me about Dr. Scabies, and yes it was the most UNUSUAL, COST EFFECTIVE and REWARDING thing I ever tried for scabies. It's hard to break the habit of depending on Rx meds but using Dr Scabies changed my point of view about natural products. Rating are quite reliable as well, http://www.bizrate.com/ratings_guide/merchant...

LISTEN UP!! Everyone, go to Amazon and look up "Kleen Free." It is a natural solution to scabies. It is made up of enzymes that will kill these mites. You can spray it on the skin and it will kill them within a few days. It's natural and non-toxic. You can spray on your furniture, bedding, clothes, and it will not harm your pets. Read up on it and find out for yourself.
I have tried kleen free and it is a scam does not work.

You need insecticide to kill bugs....
Other things help. Keep house, and bedding, clean. bake, iron, bleach, vacume, shower. Give the meds time to work. You still itch BAD BAD after treatment up to 3 months for some people

READ CASE STUDIES they are available. Clean clean clean. This takes time. I've gone crazy. For real, need help, I'm getting help and know you are not alone. Seek help from a doctor. Don't let them pass you off and don't let them not treat you when you need it. Good luck, take care.

I've had it 7 years yes 7 years only in one arm and it comes and goes. But it's terrible never the less. If u have an area where ur skin is not as healthy they will live there for years. They lived in my left arm like I said 7 years. They finally went away I have tried everything. But i recaught them some how and I have it everywhere. The females live in the skin and the males live on top of the skin. That being said u can kill the males but the females don't die the continue to lay eggs and they hatch every three days. So they r impossible to get rid of maybe better but not complete. Sorry

Here's a good article I posted on my Facebook page to read. If you want to read more articles like this, look my Facebook page up. Natural stuff has never worked for me for Scabies.

Scabies and Morgellons disease don't have much to do with each other.

http://www.sciencellonline.com/site/productIn...

"The epithelial layer of the skin provides an essential function as a protective barrier against insult from the outside environment. The major cell type in this layer is keratinocytes which consists around 85% of living epidermal cells. Keratinocytes are the cells of stratified squamous epithelia."

Keratin is a protein your body makes, your toenails are almost pure Keratin. So there are a lot of Keratinocytes in the skin.

http://f1000research.com/articles/2-118/v1

"Morgellons disease (MD) is a term that has been used in the last decade to describe filaments that can be found in human epidermis. It is the subject of considerable debate within the medical profession and is often labeled as delusions of parasitosis or dermatitis artefacta. This view is challenged by recent published scientific data put forward between 2011-2013 identifying the filaments found in MD as keratin and collagen based and furthermore associated with spirochetal infection."

So the morgellons fibers are determined to be composed of Keratin and Collagen and it is noted that there is an "association" with borrellia, an association.

A study of genetics would reveal that to get something novel to grow from the skin is a form of Gene Expression, to accomplish that an adjustment of cellular DNA is required.

There are only two bacteria known to science that can accomplish this and one of them is Agrobacterium, that is why it is used to GM the food supply, the other is Bartonella. Borrelia can not accomplish this as noted in the scientific literature.

http://microbewiki.kenyon.edu/index.php/Barto...

“Bartonella are the only bacteria able to produce angiogenic tumors in humans, very much like the Agrobacterium species that produce tumors in plants”

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21844337

“Conjugative DNA transfer into human cells by the VirB/VirD4 type IV secretion system of the bacterial pathogen Bartonella henselae.”

The Morgellons test. Get a 60x eyeloupe and look at your sleep seeds..are their fibers in them? Rub some ben gay or some campho penique on your feet ..........do specks or fiber bundles come out of the skin? Bart loves to thrive in the feet and any where Bart goes there is a potential for MD.

Bartonella also likes the spine, brain stem , etc. and tends to grow there well, typically MD lesions of bacillary angiomatosis occur in the same areas.

So Adana if your at the point where you think you have Morgellons then you really have "Lyme" disease.

http://www.townsendletter.com/July2009/ed_lym...

"The knowledge base about both Bartonella testing and treatment borders on the disastrous. Bartonella is one of the most common infections in the world. Calling it a "coinfection" is nonsense; if anything, Lyme is the "coinfection." It is found in vast numbers of common vectors, including dust mites, fleas, flea feces, pet saliva, and ticks. Amazingly, it can turn off or lower antibodies to Lyme disease, Babesia, Ehrlichia, Anaplasma, and even itself. Bartonella floats in blood and also enters all blood vessel walls without causing a fatal fever, and indeed actually lowers fevers. It is the ultimate stealth infection. It turns off antibodies, fevers, and immune function defense chemicals as it damages organs in 20 to 60 ways."

I agree. With all these Mexicans coming into the states legally and illegally, they are bringing in their jungle mites, parasites, and diseases. After looking at several different diseases I possibly encountered on my trip to Mexico, I realized there is virtually no cure for them. Simple solution, start beefing up the border patrol and shoot to kill. Sick of the sympathy because we all suffer here now. Wonder why there's so many cases of scabies at motels. Cheap labor and construction workers, cattle and chicken farmers, and illegals bringing it to the beds and leaving it there to infest. This is a real problem people. My American born ass is infested with scabies and critters I can't get rid of or see. I'm pissed as hell, fighting an uphill battle with no pay. All thanks to cheap labor by illegals. I'm not racist bit enough is enough!

But is it really scabies in the traditional sense, that ALL are suffering from?
I'm beginning to wonder if this is how Ebola is being spread.
I must say I have found some relief with bleach baths.
I also dissolve 12 vitamin B6 and B1 tablets each in 4oz water, and apply that head to toe,
before going to bed. By day 4, I could hardly feel anything.
Not a cure, so far. But relief...
