I think the salt baths are really helpful. Wish I had time for more...too busy being a mommy and all the sanitizing, etc of the house. I noticed a small beetle-like bug on the corner of my tub while showering today (a large bug, not like a mite or anything). It was drinking some water in a little puddle of water. I thru some salt on it. Watched it for 10 minutes, no effect. Thru some borax on it. No effect. It continued to drink the salt borax water. Then sqeezed my washcloth full of sulfur soap on it...no effect after 10 minutes! Then took a drop of manuka oil a dropped it into a cup. Thru the bug in it. It died within 3-4 seconds. Just thought that was interesting. Even tho the manuka has not cured me.

Since then I have paid out ohh....somewhere in the ball park of $500 trying to get rid of these little buggers.....I have no insurance.....been to the doctor and through 6 tubes of permetherin as well as about 9 bottles of permetherin spray, millions of loads of laundry, even abandoned my house for two weeks hoping theyd all die after a treatment of permetherin....nope, still goin in FORCE.....I ordered Ivermectin, but it takes like 2 weeks for delivery. In the mean time Im miserable...im going to try the bleach bath. I've also found that a bottle cap from like a glass beer bottle works well to scratch with....its very soothing but it doesnt tear my skin like my nails........funny thing is no one else in the house is getting them....just ME

How are you doing? What is your status today?

I am only returning to this forum to point out that I have been completely cured going on six weeks.
You won't believe what cured me, most of the forum has been using "Freedom 45 Spot-on for extra large dogs" as a topical method to manage symptoms.
Well the online vet supply company screwed up my order and mailed me the same product BUT it's the Freedom 45 Spot-on for horses (equine). It comes in a larger box with six slightly larger tubettes. The ingredients say 45% Permethrin but there must be something else added that is not on the label or perhaps a different kind of Permethrin because the one for extra large dogs did not cure but the one for horses wiped them out in three weeks with no side effects. I am completely cured. I bought mine at EntirelyPets.com but you can order it from Jeffers Horse Supplies too. I wish I could share my cure with those of you who have been on this forum for years. You no longer have to suffer. Get this and cover your body with it and in three weeks you are cured like me. And my case was severe!
Hi Cindy, congratulations...please inbox me, I have some more questions I would like to ask.

I have cured my scabies using sulfur soap, and organic aloe vera gel. You have to work the sulfur soap into the skin but sulfur soap really works and it stops the itching. The aloe gel is not sticky and drys quickly on your skin I found aloe works very well. I have had scabies for a long time and honestly still have them, on a scale of one to ten I am at a .5 but still have breeding pairs. Although I am not bothered at night I itch very little if I did not know better I would say I did not have them. I have done it all or most of it. Salt baths, borax baths, super washing soda baths please do not do the super washing soda baths. All kinds of oils including kerosine do not do that my legs swelled up and turned red. What a waste of time. Now I do the sulfur soap and aloe. Whatever you do good luck.

Fred, there are people who have mites, who get rid of them with toxic chemicals.
Why not just celebrate the fact that they got rid of the mites?
Those who continue to have problems, can then come to you for nematode/detox/lyme advice, OK?
But you don't have to pee on Cindilu's parade.
If people want to follow her example, then they will. If they want to follow yours, they will.

This is true. I think it's true for me. But I have to get rid of the bugs... otherwise I just end up with bugs and bacteria.
Of coarse people can make up their own minds, you're stating the obvious.
After following this forum for two years pretty closely what I will tell you is that many people who come on here to post they are cured using freedom 45 or advantix blue, same thing, go on to relapse in fact the great majority of them, in fact only one person stayed cured from that that I know of and it is a very detrimental way to go. If you want a good history lesson in this so called treatment go read the whole imidacloprid thread. What does work just to get rid of mites is clove capsules and then you don't have to become neurotoxic and do liver damage and risk high carcinogenic exposure.

12-15 clove capsules a day 4-5 after each meal for a month, they will be gone in two to three weeks. If you still have symptoms after that you have something besides mites.

Don't use household bleach on your skin, you'll burn yourself! Pool bleach and household bleach are different!

Take a shower as hot as you can stand... if you can direct the showerhead to the parts that itch the most.... when you can't stand it a minute more switch it to freezing cold ... when you can't stand that a minute more, switch it back to super hot. Do this as many times as you can. When you get out of the shower rub yourself all over with salt. Take a benadryl or claritin. This will not cure you, but it might help you sleep.

Change all your bedding every day! Wash in super hot water, dry on super hot heat (or sun dry). Use borax and/or ammonia and Arm and Hammer POWDER detergent.

Assume everything you've touched is infected. Spray down your car, home, stuff with windex. Go to the doctor and get a prescription for the cream or the ivermectin pills. If you can't go to the doctor look on this form for the horse paste dosages - you can buy that at a feed store. Or you can take clove pills.

Ivermectin doesn't work because it doesn't kill the eggs. There have been people on this forum that have taken Ivermectin daily for months , even put liquid iver in plastic bags and slept with their feet and heads wrapped. On careful examination of this forum you will read the word Ivermectin a lot but there is no evidence of it working when you follow up, those people 99% all relapse.

One of the single biggest mistakes people make on this forum is to damage their skin with excessively hot water or chemicals like Arm and hammer washing soda. Your skin absorbs chemicals and the pores are open even more when the water is hot. This stuff builds up inside you and essentially poisons your internal body functions with long term negative health effects. Also breathing the dust from Arm and hammer washing soda causes health problems.

http://householdproducts.nlm.nih.gov/cgi-bin/...

Spraying chemicals all over your environment doesn't do anything except expose you to more toxins and makes you neurotic.

It's not clove "pills" it's clove capsules. You have to take 12-15 a day, 4-5 after meals. Take them for a month. In a couple weeks the clove will start to build up in your skin so much that you will feel this weird coolness. The mites hate it and it kills them and their eggs but won't hurt you. I know this worked for 4 different people on this forum. "Fightingheretoo" made her own clove capsules from cloves she bought at mountainrose herbs and said they were very powerful. You can buy something like this though at the health store. Borax in the carpets and borax in the laundry. Borax is all you need although some people put enough stuff in the laundry where it sounds like they are making rocket fuel in the washing machine.

http://www.oregonswildharvest.com/owh/browse/...

Yes change your sheets every day and your clothes. While you are taking the clove capsules the mites can smell that so they stay away from you. While you are taking them for a month then the mites die off in your environment unless you have a pet.

If you need relief for your skin mix half tea tree oil with half sweet almond or grapeseed oil.

If the clove capsules don't cure you then you have something else. Really before jumping to the conclusion that you have mites you should get a skin scraping done by an infectious disease specialist, regular doctors or dermatologist are a waste of time and money.

Hungry ghosts you need to quit giving advice on stuff you have no experience with or haven't bothered to research, really this doesn't help anyone.

It's good to use an exfoliating wash cloth.

What helps to clear an infestation, is sufficient rubbing and exfoliating of the active areas.

These extreme temperatures are damaging to the skin.

Exfoliate with a good sulphur soap.

Use a good clean terry cloth washcloth.

The scabicides to use are ivermectin orally and permethrin topically.

HungryGhost congrats on finding out the bug your fighting. About how big does your bug look like to the naked eye? Good for you not stressing about fighting morgs. Kick that crap in the balls! Your a firecracker, nothing sexier then a strong woman that will do what she needs to do to get the job done!
You will now have boss man Fred comment on how stupid, and dumb you are. Don't listen to him. Keep fighting! You will win. Best of luck to you. Keep us updated on your progress maybe start your own thread so we can see how your fight is going.

Before you take anything even natural remedies research it. Do not give children clove it causes seizures. Huge amounts of anything can cause complications.

I have had great success these last few days, praise God!! Thank you to the college student who posted here a few days ago with his cure! I did it and IT IS WORKING!!! I have been taking the ivermectin every day for 6 days so far (he said do it 7 days then taper off...so I am doing that). Also, I am applying star anise oil to my skin each night (diluted at least 50-50 with a carrier oil like olive oil now as it was burning me). U can get the star anise oil online or at a health food store and the iver at a farm feed store or online. Take the right dose for ur weight or just a bit more.
