Hi MW77.
I did Sardex , yes I went through about 10 cans of it, straight 29% bb head to toe for a month. It kept them from biting but didn't kill them but it did make my skin pretty irritated in spots. i also did humco sulfur and mustard oil at a 20% sulfur mix for a month and thought i was making good progress until we had a nice day and i went for a hard mountain bike ride, 2 hours later they were jumpin' again.
If you know of someone who did bigger doses of topical iver please have them post on this thread.
Like I posted above, the topical dose I'm using is 18x(@200mc/kg) of iver daily for 5days now with no ill effects. I have even ridden my bike and they didn't wake up after physical activity....I think this works.
Yes, i am suffering from these creatures and I have started taking 50 ml of ivermectin for animals. I did have a liver function test beforehand and will have another soon. Drink lots of water, eat something fatty an hour before and nothing for two hours after. You will have a vile taste in your mouth for a month. I counter the ongoing taste with vegemite. Drink plenty of water throughout the day and stay away from alcohol. Good luck.

Something i've noticed over the time i've been reading these posts (8months)is that as there is an established dose for ivermectin taken orally but when it gets to topical there has been a trend that large doses don't seem to be threatening in any way. I of coarse have seen the columbian study @ 400 mc/kg.,i tried that and got no where.
I've taken about 100 doses of iver orally, one time I took a 5x dose and got ataxa, slurring speech, etc. I couldn't take enough Iver to kill them orally before it would do something weird to me. I always read the posts from " me too" who was cured with topical application and I agree it makes much more sense to go the topical route. 400mc/kg is such a small amount it hardly goes anywhere. The horse paste is 1.87% Ivermectin and the injectable is 1%, the pour on is .5%. So being at the point where I was somewhat desperate and willing to try and based on my observations and what i've read here I did this. For the last week I've been using the horse paste(1.87% iver), I mix 2-1/2 tubes with 2-1/2 cap fulls of pour on iver because it makes it go farther and you can cover your whole body. The pour on is alcohol based and the paste is propylene glycol, they mix readily.
That's right 1 tube for a 1250lbs horse, I'm using 2-1/2 of those mixed with 2-1/2 caps pour on. I believe that's 18x the 200mc/kg oral dose for 5 days so far with no ill effects. I think it's working.
If anyone has something to offer on topical doses and pushing the limits please lets investigate this.I think it's working.
Hi Fred,
Please help me out. Did the topical ivermectin cure you?

Fred is long gone. He had morgellons, not scabies.

I've been suffering for over a year. Picked up the bugs from a dog with Sarcoptic Mange. I'm finally getting relief with Ivermectin. I'm taking Ivermectin internally as well as applying it topically. It's definitely helping, but can take months to cure.

Topically, I add 1 oz Ivermax Pour-On to 3 oz of lotion. Apply as needed. At bedtime, I apply Ivermax directly to scalp and ears (worst areas) with a cotton swab. Finally, restful sleep!!!

Thanks Tara for your reply.

I have been struggling with this for more than 6 months now.
Do you take the ivermectin tablets or horse paste internally?
What do you think about Ivermectin pour on mixed with DMSO(3:1)?

I felt some improvement (with bleach bath / Apple cider vinegar/benzyl benzoate). I did not have any crawling for a day and then they came back again on my feet hands and head.

Now I am just doing pour-on with DMSO on hands and feet and pour-on with rubbing alcohol on my body.

I started taking the horse paste orally. Couldn't stand the aftertaste. So, I switched to the injectible Ivomec (or Noromectin) and the IverMax Pour-On. I add the Pour-On to lotion and apply it as needed. I squirted the Ivomec into chocolate milk and drank it. Much more pleasant than the paste. I couldn't even tell it was in there! While this helped, months later I still wasn't cured. So, I switched to subcutaneous injections in May. That's starting to work, but can take months.:-(

In the last week, I added 1/8 tsp. of Borax orally in water. I can't believe how much that helps! I can still feel the bugs, but it's different. I hope that means they're dying off.(Fingers crossed.)

I haven't tried DMSO. What is it? How do you use it? I'm afraid of bleach. It's caustic. No thanks!

topical treatment will definitely fail and make them more resistant. Mix 1part alcohol based pour-on with 3 parts 70% isopropyl alcohol and apply throught including scalp ,hair and face excluding eyes. This is working great for me for the past 3/4 days. isopropyl alcohol gets absorbed by the skin well and takes the ivermecting further.

DMSO is a solvent which can take IV 4-5 times further in your skin. Be VERY CAREFUL in handling it. It has to be diluted before it even TOUCHES your body. Read RK in the house post on how to dilute it correctly. I just did the DMSO solution on the resistant areas like my feet and hand for 2 days which were never getting treated. If you have to, buy a USP grade(US Pharmocoepia ) with > 99% purity that comes in a GLASS bottle.

Let me know how things work out
