Someone please help I feel like I am going crazy
you are supposed to treat twice not once. and then wait it out for a couple more weeks to see if you improve. i think a lot is in you head because scabies do not jump, they are microscopic and only crawl. you cant feel the bites, the itching is an allergy to the feces and eggs. you should check for bedbugs. treat again and wait it out meanwhile keep up the cleaning

This is worse than the plague - unreal.
Demodex. Demodex. Demodex.
I purchased demodex soaps , facial wash , cream , and shampoo from Amazon.com and it's working to elimate this nightmare .
Along with perm , Claritin , prednisone , & topicals. Soon I'll need a psych eval ! Lol.

I've read that the permethrin ONLY kills the adult scabies mite , not the larvae or eggs that are buried . I feel quite mislead by the recommended usage & treatment that the American board of dermatology , CDC , any pharmacy or physician guidance on scabies treatment . Most say use once , do not apply to face . If necessary , re- treat in 2 weeks . Are they joking ?!!! By all I've read and experienced , that is wrong . It make people think that scabies Mites are easily treated and "poof", they disappear . Now we all know we let the infestation exacerbate and multiply bc we never treated the larvae & eggs . Most scabies literature also says most people don't get it on their face, feet , scalp . Wrong again ! My face , unbeknownst to me , was the worst --- like a demodex mite . Inside nose , lips , eyebrows, eyelids , eyelashes must be treated. As we as deep in fingernails , fingers , hands , and feet .

I realized the face mites by chance when I applied Jolyn skin bleach cream to treat " dark spots ".... Little black fibers and black dots began to come out of pores . Then I stumbled onto Nerium AD night cream which is from a poisonous Oleander plant - More black stuff surfacing . I bought the demodex bar soap , cream , shampoo and am almost entirely clear .
I've bathed w Dr Teals bath soak w Epsom salts and alway add few cups of laundry bleach . Works very well . I wipe soles of my feet with half bleach half water as the mites embed deep into toes, between toes , and soles . This was a battle . I waged war on these mites . I'm winning. It's very stressful , shameful, and a source of anxiety that is unnecessary to anyone . Nobody should have to deal w this . It is our responsibility to end it . Clearly not adequate research has been published yet .

I want to make mention of a Greek man named : Konstantinos Balafas , Now living in Berwyn , Illinois on Clarence st. He gave me this disease and never said I'm sorry . Konstantinos Balafas (dinos1960) is promiscuous , morally void, pervert on Match .Com and he is spreading his infestation to other women & his kids.

I don't know why you guys keep on saying that the doctors only prescribe one dose of permethrin. Both my general practitioner and my dermatologist gave me several refills on my prescription for Elimite Permethrin Cream 5%. I didn't have to ask them for it, they just prescribed it that way. Also, if you have mites all over your face, nose, eyelids, etc. wouldn't it seem like common sense to treat these areas with the permethrin. It's common sense, and you guys make too much of a big deal about this. Also, rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle will kill mites on your face, nose, etc. Use it several times a day to reduce your numbers. Spray it into a cloth and rub an infested area on your face. Also, use hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle for penetration and cleaning your burrows and nests of mites on your active areas. Ivermectin taken internally will kill all mites under your skin. Use ivermectin orally along with permethrin or benzemul topically, and this should help you. Use some clove oil along with a carrier oil, like almond oil or jojoba oil to kill any surface mites, too.

I am on my 4 the tube of permethrin which I use as a spot treatment . The one single product that was visibly effective were the human demodex products that contain the oil from the SEABUCKTHORN herb . Packaged under Face Surgeon soap , Demodex facial wash , shampoo etcetera .... These dry the heck out of your skin and make it inhospitable for a mite to thrive . There are life cycles to deal with . The permethrin treats a live mite on the outside of your skin . Them more eggs , larvae , and there's that vicious cycle . Also , ladies....Nerium AD night serum helped purge the little black spots , threads , whatnot . My skin is glowing . I never realized that all the spotty freckles could be mites & their remains..
I'm suggesting Demodex in addition because I feel it worked and I know many people are at their wits end with this tenacious little problem . Everybody's input helps .
Thank you!
Plus , it is just wrong to pass it knowingly to others .

The first time my son and I were diagnosed with scabies I noticed the black specks. I was able to pull them out with a tweezer. Again we are suffering. I rubbed us good with Aquaphor and I noticed granules on my skin. Going to try the sulphur because the permethian (?) Did not work the first time

Wow!!!! This is so hard to deal with . 90 days after the babysitter gave my 2 year old scabbies . The whole family has it still. 8 rounds of irvmectin , 3000.00 in online treatment options. 12 - 15 rounds of prem. Will this ever end?

those symptoms are "morgellons" symptoms.. u need to look at specks for urself w microscope, regular drs don't recognize this yet cause it doesn't fit nicely in their medical books.. it is a mix of infections, not mites.. the black specks are ur body trying to fight infections.. specifically lyme and bartonella.. need to see a lyme literate medical dr to get the right treatment.. scabies treatments make much worse.. black specks, salt like granules, scratches, whelps, stinging sensations, and such are characteristic of this mix of infections, which can come and go.. big reason why a lot think they are just reinfected with mites.. fatigue, brain fog, a.d multiple other symptoms are also a few of the other many symptoms my family had.. highly recommend u to look at the specks urself... best of luck!

I've had crusted scabies for over a month and used permithrin but didn't get rid of it.
What I found more effective is warm hot bath with tea tree oil, gently rub off the crust (hundreds and thousands are normally present) and cover yourself with neem oil (natural insecticide and fungicide)

It is also important to clean clothes, bedding and floors frequently to avoid reinfestation. Scabies cannot survive in hot water or without a host for more than 72 hours.

All the best everyone, avoid contact with anyone and make sure they get treated too (even if they've yet to show symptoms)

You are right about the mites and other dark things coming out of the skin. I messaged my skin with a home made treatment of Permithrin 10% diluted with some skin oil (bio oil) and water. I was having a problem with reaction to dry skin and the fecal matter dead mites. They started to come out and I am having a problem with biting but I think it is the mite trying to surface because I did the Ivermectin treatment. This also brought the dark spots to the surface. The first treatment of Permithrin made me break out so bad but now it is getting better.

Tetracycline is supposed to help with the skin reaction, I read. Search online, they now say there is a link to rosacea and mites as well. I should have got on this before doing the treatments.

The sulfur is what draws the most of them out. Bathe with it, do an hour long hot soak and use the sulfur cream afterward. I recommend sulfur and Ivermectin over the Perm treatment. Much more effective and less itchy.

Perm is expensive, I am eager to try remedies mentioned here. The itch is maddening and my skin appearance is frightening. I scratch constantly and the open sores are very noticeable in public. My doc was not very interested in my discomfort. I work with indigent and mentally ill clients, this may have been the source, but I felt like my doc was judging me to be unclean. I will have to wear long sleeves and gloves from now on. Hopeless.

What you have is Bird Mites.
They come out in the spring and fall most generally from an overhanging tree, empty bird nest, from a dead bird, rodent or other wild bird. Research them, what to use in your home, shampoo & other effective products to use. They lay & burrow their eggs in fabric, in cotton, crevices on your walls & ceilings, floors, everywhere.
The Black specs you see on your body, they multiply by the thousands & you are the host. They know when you move around, coming from the female. They act just like scabies but worse. They can live for long periods of time & stay dormant if you are not around, just waiting. Take a 1 cup bleach bath. For mite killer you can use Bayer Advanced Garden, Power Force Multi Insect Killer.

Also has anyone noticed the mites traveling along surface veins in their skin? Some of my burrows seem to follow surface spider veins that also got infected and turned black. I couldn't find anything about this anywhere on the internet and can only assume it's not real common. Thanks.

Soooo, yes I've read and read because my elbow got infected and after 5 months fighting it with the cream I had nothing to loose by trying Sulfur.
100% Organic Sulfur. I took 2 tablespoons and mixed into very hot water. I then let it stand for about a minute to crystallize. Then I applied it on my elbow and left it there for about 20 minutes. The next day everything was cleared up. Miraculous!!!!

My grandson had a case of scabies and in an addition to permethrin we were told to use sulfur soap to bathe and wash with.

Even after treatment your still going to itch because a lot the bugs are dead and theres still feces in your skin. It takes a few weeks. Just be worried if you get more bumps.
