I went to the Dr today and showed them my skin. The bitch didn't even take a sample. Just looked at me and said "nope u don't have scabies" I mean really!!??? I know what my body is feeling! And I've never felt this before. And to just say nope. I'm so mad. I've stilled started the process of bagging everyhting and putting mine and my kids beds in plastic. I've been sanitizing like crazy and using tea tree oil like crazy on myself the kids and house. I am going to go to the doctor again tomorrow. Please help with advice as to convince them I have this and to not make me feel crazy. I've missed work. And I'm sure that's where I got it. I wish I could Sue for unclean environment. They never vacuum the carpets or clean the keyboards fully. Ugh. I'm sooo freaking exhausted from this. As well as I have to try and seem happy while caring for my kids! Ugh I'm so frusterated"!!!!

Tell the doc that your friend has scabies and you stayed at her home and that her doctor told her everyone needed to get treated with prem 5% and stromecol just in case they are infected. Don't go there acting like you know everything. Docs have egos and they hate it when people come in knowing more then they do. Good luck.

Hi Alice, how long have you had scabies? Where do you get this "dip" you speak of. I have tried many things but I dont really think I have scabies. From what I can tell the first 4 Scabies treatments should have gotten rid of that. I have the black specks under my skin which could be mistaken for a dark freckle however, I have freckles on my face and only a few were on my body and I was already aware of there existance. So I know these new black spots (which usually run along my veins)are not suppose to be there. I don't self mutilate but I also have scars from in the past when I was being bitten and stung. It was bad until I treated my home/car with DE by sprinkling it about and then vaccuum up after 2 to 3 days. I was stung in my R nostril and now if I blow my nose black specks come out of that side. I was awaken by being stung in my throat on nite. Totally hurt and freaked out. Without Xanax I may be committed to mental facility in the beginning and while seeing several MDs who have vowed to actually care about our well being but took little interest in my problem. So sad. My mother has it too she told Derm Dr at major hillbilly hospital they will find one day they are wrong.
I have the same thing happening!:( dude some guy told me I had morgellons to begin with cause he new a girl and mom in washington that has this and now I think he was right! I hate that guys anyways but it makes me mad he was right!
I can't get this to go away and people thing I'm crazy! I almost hung myself cause olive view said I was crazy and had dermatitus cause by drugs which is bull shit they aren't helpin so I help myself! I just want to hug my kids I won't let them move back home until my "scabies" are gone it's been since aug. Since this started!! It looked like mites at forst under the mircoscope and now fibers black thicker straight ones and little colored and twisty looking things. I was hopijng it was just the permethrin dog oil I duluted. There so many every day this week there's no way its scabies and I can't find help.... I h8 los angeles! I wish I never moved here!

Thank you. I just got done at a different doctor and he was amazing and didn't even second guess me. Checked me out n said I had symptoms and prescribed medication for.my kids and I!!!! What a releif! I wonder if I can Get my money back from the other clinic I went to. She didn't even listen to me or acknowledge my symptoms. This could have gotten worse and we could have potentially affected others if I didn't get the help I seemed today.

Some docs are horrible! I'm glad you got the meds. Make sure you treat your scalp, don't listen to the docs.

Not only can you get your money back, but make a complaint to both the Medical Association and the CDC for failing to treat the spread of scabies. The second doctors diagnosis will be enough to confirm.

The more that these deadbeat doctors are reported, the more that they'll be held accountable for their incredibly irresponsible actions.

These doctors are part of the reason that scabies is in plague proportions. 10% of the USA has it.

oh thank you for that info. I will be calling tomorrow once things have settled down here. Been on an ultimate crazy train this past week. I know the Dr i saw today will even FAX over the info if I need it too. It's so disappointing that the clinic just turned there head like that. She even said "I 100% guarantee you don't have it" I was like wtf!!??? And no test or anything. So frustrating. But glad I got help and on my way to feeling normal again. Ill post on how it all goes. Thanks again for the advice!!!!

I am 2 days post 1%Lindane treatment and 1 day post 5% permethrin treatment on head the lindane was used on my body. I caught the scabies fairly early (thank God) but I am also finding the black specks on my skin in addition I have found these things that are a blackish brown in color very small like 3mm and have this long thing string coming out of it....they seem to be dead but so strange. Almost all of the articles I have read say that you cannot see them (the scabies) with the naked eye?? Anyone else experiencing this????

That is dead bits of the sc's, waste matter etc. Just keep treating and keep cleaning. Glad you caught it early as that's the best chance for success

Just wanted to say as a fellow sufferer that it's really important to control your thoughts while dealing with scabies and morgellons. Creepy crawlers are bad but talking yourself out of the chance to heal will not help. Our brains are listening and taking our thoughts literally as instructions so be positive and don't think about not being able to deal with it. Not to be a dick but there are people starving and being killed by regimes but you and I have doctors and modern medicine.
I know this souds extreem but i have a bad feeling about this scabies mite.. many many people i know and their pets are infected...its almost impossible to erradicate in a work or other environment.. no one treats it at the same time and dont even know they have it...usually when they find out the shame stops them going for treatment hence more and more people are infected. Is there more to this than meets the eye? Its at epedemic proportions and the NHS haven't even mentioned it as a problem!!It makes me paranoid and has affected my state of mind.. what is really going on here? What better way to control a country or species than with a symbiote? I leave my thoughts with you...

Hellllo. So I'm a scabies noob, fortunately. I was diagnosed based on symptoms onMonday morning. Since then, I've vacuumed like mad, alcohol and lysol'd everything, washed sheets twice, bagged up pillows, sprayed shoes and vacuumed. I also left most items outside on my balcony overnight in 29 degree weather.
I applied permethrin Monday around noon and last night, after obsessively checking myself, I notice black/brown specks just under the skin on my hands. WHAT IS THIS WEIRDNESS?! Is it dead mites? Fecal matter, eggs? I just want to make sure this is normal. Anyone have any insight?! I appreciate any help and thanks in advance!
Hi, I know this is old, but did you figure out what this was? i have the same little splinter-like things now that ive used permitherin a few times. I really appreciate any advice. Hopefully this is a good sign they are dead. Thank you!

I am literally going crazy here, about 2 months ago I got these red itchy dots on my leg above my ankle they got really bad within a week and during the night I itched them so bad I would wake up bleeding. I went to the first dermatologist and he took one look and said scabies but no other tests. I freaked treated my self from neck down with the lotion over night since he said that scabies don't go from the neck up. All night long my nose was itching so bad, I thought maybe I forgot to take my allergy meds but still had never itched like this when I forgot them. Got up looked in mirror at my nose and I had little black specks in the bottom of my nose around small nose hairs. I freaked couldn't get them out with cue tip they were like stuck. I put on gloves and got them out with my nails and parked my ass at the derms office at 9 am crying. He basically told me that it must have been dirt because scabies don't go neck up. Dirt really? Dirt? yeah ok....so I treated the next day my whole body, face, inside bottom of nose ears and scalp. Was ok for about 3 days then old spots on leg healed and new spots on arms and bottom of stomach appeared. Went to 3 other derms who told me it was not scabies but they didn't know, final biopsy lasts week came back as severe inflammation possibly due to insect bite. Went to 4th derm she told me it was bed bugs. Had 3 exterminators do extensive searches on my mattress, box spring, headboards, couch ect.(me, husband and son in bed no one else has this) turned up nothing. Family dr put me on high does of prednisone steroid for 10 days and finally it stopped spreading but still itched. Then was put on atarax which helped a lot with itching. The day after I ran out of the steroid the rash came back on my middle stomach little red dots that itch like crazy. I have cleaned my house so compulsilvy and seen so many doctors I don't know what to do. Im not sleeping anymore I think the actual thought of bugs in my skin or bed is almost worse then the symptoms. I have a house cleaning business so I havnt been to work because Im scared of spreading this and its 10x's worse when I sweat. Woke up this morning and now the itchy red dots have spread to upper chest. I don't know what the hell to do next or even what dr to go to. I even had the cats checked out although they have never been outside and nothing not a flee or a lesion or bite on any of them. My scalp itches too and sometimes there is a black speck under my nails after I itch. Doctor said must be dirt in my head yeah ok makes a lot of sense since I shower like a million times a day wash everything and don't go anywhere anymore. Had family dr and derms look at scalp say not lice nothing black but still treated with lice shampoo like a million times. so basically I have spreading red dots of nothing that itchy horribly that are basically undiagnosable that no one else in my house has and I have dirt in my nose and under my scalp? That's my diagnosises. Any help from anybody would be greatly appreciated, this has taken over my whole life....its horrible!

I have read so much while I am waiting to see the dermatologist. My own despair is mirrored here on these pages. My Family doctor did not want to believe this was scabies I am dealing with. I now do. It's been 8weeks and two rounds of predizone later. We thought it was poison ivy at first. He thinks its allergy to soap change...but I'm doubtful. I have changed soaps, washed everything...and it's still coming. Holy crap these blogs are scaring the begebees out of me. I hope the dermatologist gets it right. The one thing I have learned through all the reading I've done is that if you use cortisone cream at first...it will change the appearance of the rash and make it harder for your doctor to see it as scabies. My Doctor says he would not believe it if he is wrong...I told him I'm not here to prove him wrong...I'm here to get help! I need help and soon. I wish I knew it could change the appearance before I debated my Doctor. May be he would have given me the medicine I feel I so desperately need. Next is hoping it works. God Bless to you all. PS. I am 50. Many here have mentioned their ages so now have I.

Surfacing of mites and debris after scabies treatment is good as it can lessen the skins built up allergies which results in post scabies healing. It is suggested that you moisturize daily and you can even go as far as taking daily baths with a cup of epsom salts to help.

None of your products say what the ingredients are... I would be wary of spending hundreds of dollars on products that hide the ingredients...
Beware of internet SCAMS, just as this website. Everything is way overpriced..!!!
$49 for a plastic mattress cover??
$79 for an an environmental spray?
What about $1.50 for some hydrogen peroxide or $2 for rubbing alcohol at walart.
$2.00 for sulphur soap at walmart or pharmacy.
and about $5 for tea tree oil at walmart.
$45 for a mange treatment? can you say rip off artist?

My wife and I have both been infected with Scabies. Before going to the Dr. I researched home remedies online. I read about Tea Tree Oil and felt it was worth trying. It works wonders and is a relatively cheap way to ease the symptoms!!!The Tea Tree Oil kills everything on the surface and is great to bathe/shower with every morning and every night until you get a Prescription for Permithrin. The itching virtually disappears after the showers even though new bites appeared here and there. Some people claim Tea tree Oil will cure Scabies, but it doesn't seem to kill the mites already under your skin. Mix several drops of Tea Tree Oil in with your soap and lather your entire body, including your hair. Be patient and leave it on for five minutes before rinsing. After bathing, dry off and immediately wash your towel and clothes so you don't reinfect yourself. The oil provides a great deal of relief especially before bed. It's probably not a cure, but it does sooth the skin. Tea Tree ointment, in addition to the tree oil, is also available at any health food store and is a natural, effective ointment you can put on the itchy spots instead of taking pills or Cortisone cream. It immediately takes away the irritation with having to scratch. I just did my first treatment of Permithrin last night am also finding black dots on my skin. I plan on washing them off before bed with the oil. Hope this helps someone. Thank you for all your posts!!!!!!
