Mites of any kind, are horrible things from hell! I have been plagued with a mite condition for more than 5 years now. I've have tried everything under the sun, at an estimated value of $10,000.00. None of it has worked, but I always hope that one day it will go away because that's the only way I can go on living. I've had about 15 treatments of scabies cream and it simply doesn't work! Period! Ooooh...and don't let me start on these doctors from the United States....
Yeah, our medicine is really advanced...What? No, I don't think so....
Western medicine is all about what is written in a medical text book or journal. If a doctor/physican cannot find it in a text book/journal, something that they've never heard of or anyone they know has ever gone through.
I will tell you right now, that they won't believe you! No matter how many different doctors you visit in the U.S. period. You might as well blow your brain out!!!!!!!!Rather than research anything...for the chance that they might learn something new. You are simply refered to "mental health". LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING!!!! NO ONE, NO MATTER WHAT STATE OF MIND THEY WERE IN WOULD PRETEND TO HAVE THIS. ESPECIALLY NOT A HYPER-CONDRIACT!!!!!!!!!!
The UNITED STATES, is the only country that treats people this way when it comes to new medical conditions that they've never heard of; and are resistant to most prescription drugs.
On the other hand...it has been 2 (Aisan) medicine doctors that saved my life and gave me hope.
Keeping an open heart an open mind, is how, we a human beings are able too learn. I'm willing too try anything for a cure. The worst thing about this is these (mites) are on every surface of my home and car. They're on everything I touch... I pray everyday for healing, for everyone going through this.

Dear Black Diamond, sorry to hear you have been suffering so long with this. You said you did 15 treatments. Was this in 5 years time.

I did 14 treatments in the past few months. Finally the madness of the sensations of things crawling all over your body and the biting are gone. But I have done a lot of work, many different kinds of treatments, some helped, some totally failed.

When doctors do not know something, they will try anything. It is hard to find someone who has dealt with this before. I did not show the signs of normal scabies for months. The docs keep looking at my fingers and saying I did not have it. But mine did not start at my hands.

It all started when I went into the hospital to have surgery. After surgery, the nurse came in and rolled down my socks to put leg pumps on me after surgery to keep blood clots away. She also put sticky pads on my belly to monitor my heart, within 2 days, when I was checking out of the hospital, when I got home I realized I had some kind of rash where ever she had touched me. My fronts of my shins, were covered with like a pimply rash, with white heads, same on my abdomen. I did not realize I had scabies at the time, being on pain med, I felt nothing. But it soon caught up with me. I used an Avon Hand Cream called Moisture Therapy all the time on my hands. It seemed they did not like it so they did not attack my hands, and this is where the docs were looking.

You might want to go into more detail. You said your doc was helping. What have you done so far and when?

I do know this for a fact...! The more you pick at the site of infestation, the more they'll reproduce. Any kinds of cut or abrasians take forever to heal. Open wounds or cuts only give mites or scabies a greater food source. I hope to find a treatment that will cure these mites I've had for more than five years. However, I'd like to be able to have children...in the near future without damaging my reproductive organs. I really wish everyone hope and luck...towards a cure!

Change your name already this morning? Are you here for help or just to give advice, like all your other troll posts for the past 8 months? Don't get angry with me... I can see I woke you up this morning. I disagree with what you said. If you clean an infested area on your skin, the less mites there will be in that area, the less you will have to do deal with. Nurse Ratchett. I need a bed pan change, Nurse. Hurry up, now.
I think I just soiled the bed. You will have to clean it up. Ummmmm, smells ripe. You like?

I have had what I have called scabies for many years. Sometimes they went away and then came back. I went to a homeopathic Dr. and she gave me psorinum. I never had the red skin crazy itch before in all these years. I wonder if I had some other kind of bug. Mostly I had sores which every Dr. I went to said I was doing it to myself. Ater taking Psorinum, I know now what scabies feel like. I have been getting a full time scabies torture. The Psorinum Dr is sending me a different kind of Psorinum I have been using chemicals because I couldn't stand the pain. I haven't told her that I am using chemicals. Any suggestions.

Have you gotten one ID'd by a parasitologist? The lady who had the springtail infestation had some good recommendations on her thread here.

Its easy to see, read something and think you have it. Or want to believe you have it rather than a worse condition. Be sure to check your self honesty meters before proceeding on that yeast rout. For all I know you are absolutely right. OR for that matter miserably wrong.

Oral anti fungals are extremely harsh on the liver. Topicals work well but easy to skip a spot. Careful.

If you have scabies and discontinue treatment and beginning spreading the mites, you will wish you had been more careful.

Go to a doctor. If they cant tell you have scabies, you don't itch intensely and mostly at night, don't see bumps, investigate the poss of another type of mite. Your chances are you have some sort of mite rather than a fungal skin condition.

Again I could be wrong. Just be careful which ever way you choose to proceed.

not here to answer questions. just putting my 2 cents in.

Good luck.

I went to a doctor. Stupid idiot who wouldn't listen.
I'm trying another derm... who knows. Maybe I'll hit the jackpot and get someone who actually listens instead of writing a scrip for steroids and ushering you out.

Don't worry.. I'm not stopping scabies treatment - I have topical Eprinex on hand....and I know the difference between the scabies bites and the crawling pin prick thing.

I have the same ailment that began 3 months after I moved to a moister climate. I have not been bit on my hands at all. These things are everywhere. I've done the scabies cream the pills and the Dr is sending me to mental health. I know I'm not crazy. But I live in the US where everything they don't understand or know about is considered mental. I'm sick of how we are treated by the medical community of the US

I have been tortured by an unknown skin parasite for almost 1 year. No need for me to explain this nightmare to anyone else who has also been afflicted. It"s like something straight out of a horror movie. I am inclined to think this "parasite" could be a man made genetically engineered organism and that's why doctors are baffled. This "organism" seems to be highly resistant to chemicals and antiseptics. Believe me, I've tried many with no success. HOWEVER- I'll tell you the only treatment that has worked for me(although it's not a cure). The relief will last about 2 hours and must be repeated. A HAIRDRYER. Use an 1800watt blow dryer on high heatand hit the affected area for about 2 minutes. Make sure you don't burn your skin so keep it at a distance moving it in a circular motion. The results are simply wonderful!

ok interestingly enough i think these mites wreak much more havoc that one knows. demodex mites on the face--is not normal..j
now the dust mites feed off human debris, you know this. this is what i did and it is still changing my life as i am still treating myself.
1. get ultrasonic machines-i got one off of ebay for $20 but 4 from alixexpress for 12. i will put them in all rooms (doesn't travel through walls). after 2 weeks, my dog's ear are no longer red like they have been for 5 years. i still have a cough
2. the dedmodex mite i have been treating on my face shoulders--no i do not have acne but i noticed itching at certain times. they come out in the evening--i use tea tree splash for that. i wash with sulphur soap and wat in a magnified mirror these mites come out of my face--i'm 56 and have been battling with auto immune--let me say i am a retired nurse and would never go to a doctor unless a trauma--they treat symptoms only.
when the mites started coming out i broke out in an eczematic rash i've never ever had--on my hands and feet!!! this is the candida now leaving my body. i can't believe how i feel--my stiffness of 15 years is leaving my body...it take 28 days then they reporoduce so treatment should be for 3 months. i have a sauna which helps tremendously with the itching--the eczema gets better with green tea- and other anti oxidants. i could go on but i'm not sure you want me to. hope this helps

Are you sure you have Demodex mites? I ask because Demodex mites don't cause their host to itch. They live in our hair follicles. When they over populate (usually due to autoimmune issues or malnutrition), they push hair out of follicles, causing baldness. But they don't cause itching. Scabies mites cause profuse itching. Both types of mites are microscopic. So, if you can see them, it's probably something else.
