I just tried Dawn original blue in my bath, instead of A&H, on a recommendation from a natural remedy flea killing site, although they mentioned lemon dawn, all I had was the blue, so I used that, about 3-4ozs in a 30min hot bath, upon leaving the bath, a bunch of black spots (period size!) starting dropping off my feet, & body., and my skin feels good, not burnt like using this on a facecloth in the shower! That's the 1st time I ever saw something like that, I'm pretty sure they were the mites leaving, smaller then the black pepper spots I've had appear before, and more round. I'm just putting this out there to see if it can help anyone else suffering. Next chance I get I'm looking for lemon dawn dishwashing soap in the market. AJAX dish detergent will do the same thing. But be careful, BOTH WILL tear up your skin if used regularly.

As an additional comment...ANY DISH WASHING detergent that contains triclosan works the same as Dawn...including Ajax, others. That is the ingredient that kills the bugs!

Do not mix Dawn and Bleach. Use separately! When mixed, they create a gas that is harmful to inhale.
With that said, I use Dawn to wash out coconut or tea tree oils from hair after treatment of scalp. I didn't know the Dawn was an additional treatment. I will continue the use and use all over.

are you sure that you don't have demodex mites, rather than scabies mites?? I ask because i am researching demodex now, starting to wonder if this is what i have, instead of scabies. i have learned that dem. mites live on oily skin/hair follicles..and leave little black specks when dead. Also they live on the face. Scabies does NONE OF THESE 3 THINGS?!A remedy for Demodex mites is to remove OIL from the skin...maybe that's why the "dawn" helped..it takes grease outta your way...i dont know, it's a thought..these mites are driving me CRAZY..VERY CRAZY!!!

Not only clean your bedding but clean your mattresses, pillow casing, etc. You may have bed mites or bed bugs infestation.

Just a quick pointer that no one has mentioned. Mobile and home phones need daily cleaning too. I use alcohol wipes on light switches door knobs phones taps etc. controls for tv anything that comes in contact with your skin. We got re infested after clearing them twice. From a friend using my mobile. Especially fabric type cases! I know this sounds far fetched but I got them in my ear and lobe. So good luck guys. I back to the cleaning grindstone!

I got advice from a senior home where scabies and mites run rampant. Get in a hot bath, as hot as U ccan stand add to it one to two cups of bleach. Soak for 20 mins. Get out air dry do this once or twice and they will be dead. A bleach bath is no different then swimming in someones chlorinated pool. NO MORE ITCHING

Well, two cups of bleach is a bit strong; much stronger than swimming in someone's pool. One cup of bleach is enough in a tub full of water. this also kills bacterial infections on your skin. This is toxic, so don't do this day after day. Dangerous!!
Study ivermectin. This works to kill scabies.:-)

here is an excerpt
. Repeated baths in water and bath oil, or repeated swims in chlorinated swimming pools will kill adult mites and nymphs feeding close to the surface. And you don't have to smell like a human pickle to accomplish breaking the cycle.
When you talk about using an abrasive scrubber and dish detergent to get rid of eggs on hair shafts, it sounds like you're talking about body or hair lice. That's a whole different insect, and while some people have found vinegar to be helful (I never did) lice are easier to remove with natural products like mayonaise, olive oil or very rich conditioner, in combination with a good nit comb. Or there are lice insecticide products on the market.
Your in-law's dog may have animal mites also, but that doesn't mean the dog is the problem. The dog may be an innocent victim like you. You don't mention whether your in-law's dog is a female. The fact that you, and only you are being affected in your household makes me suspect rodent mites. If there are rodent ne.....

( in the link it speaks of vacuming. This works some what but tri-jet foggering annhilates them .
2 cups epsom
1/2 cup boraz
1 cup windex
1.5 gal of hot water , Stir well for 1 miinute put in fogger & turn the room into a blinding dense fog, I can only see 3ft into it ...bye bye bug. I haven't flet a bug since I started doing thei to each room every 3 days.
ps the baking soda 1 cup in the bath is amazing , it has stopped them dead . I did use a lot of peroxide / borax/ water mix before thet & I use dawn as my soap in the shower often , it soes dru out the skin. Coconut oil is great for making the skin like new after all this strong astrintent cleaning of the skin

It appeared to be a new formula blue Dawn?, it may not be the same old formula like I used before, I don't know, it maybe different. Now I'm back up at 2:30am wondering what to do? Instead of cleaning, & changing bedding each night (What a drag!) I usually spray the bedding with Windex, before my usual A&H bath, then let it dry in some, usually getting good results, but not tonight! If anyone has any suggestions on how to avoid the constant daily bedding change, & wash please let me know?
Deep woods off has a higher deet content and I found it works great plus if you are itching it takes the sting away!

I have done it all an your suggestion of the dawn. This is a on going and you must, must wash the sheets daily because the mite/small speck flea is sticky. I am going to go to the healthy home market and buy some parasite be gone.(Just a made up name for going to find out how to kill them internally since they seem to lay eggs under the skin like a mite. I think this has been going on for some time for me and I just did not realize it. I use penny royal and cedar too in the shampoo

I sleep in a sleeping bad. It's easy to throw the one piece in a wash machine every day, but then I have a front loader which can handle the sleeping bag size.

i bought an ozark twin sized air mattress at walmart in the camping section. it has no velor on it, so the mites cannot hide in the velor. you can take it in the shower and rinse it off every nite if you want. it takes 5 minutes to do this. don't use a sheet on it, unless you can wash sheets daily. the mites shed from your body daily and especially in the bed. clean the floor around the bed, too.
use ivermectin and permethrin, to rid your body of these things.
just spraying windex on your bed will not work, as they are so small that they can live in cracks of the plastic, seems, etc. they will come out as soon as you turn the lights off at night.
Has anyone ever tried cayenne pepper and make a paste! It burns like the dickens but it s suppose to kill the eggs too! I would not put on genitals though!
I tried just dawn on my skin, rubbed it in like lotion and an hour later I took a shower and had a bunch of spots on my stomach and legs. But when I put dawn directly on my genitals it kind of burned them a little bit to where they dried and a layer of skin peeled off of my whole genital region but they seemed to be infecting everywhere else and not the dawn concentrated layer off skin that fell off the genital region! I figure I'll try the concentrated dawn since it does seem to be working and cayenne pepper paste! Good luck guys hope we make it through this shit!

Update: it's been six hours and not one bite except on the back of my hands which I forgot to cover in cayenne! I spotted it with cayenne pepper a couple of hours ago and didn't really burn that bad and hasn't itched since!
It's been 2 days since I lathered myself up with cayenne pepper and burned my skin off! So I found out you don't need to do that! You just have to get them out of you private areas and take a toothpick with cayenne pepper paste on it in pop all those little pimples and jam the toothpick in side the hole. THIS DOES NOT HURT AT ALL! until you take a hot shower than it stings a little bit! I got a few new ones yesterday but toothpicked them and they dried out! I wish I could post pics. My extremely dry skin is itchy as hell but the bumps aren't there! I'll keep posted as the week goes on!

Nope, Just Blue Dawn! I used about 3-4ozs in the hot bath, I put it in after the water settled to avoid getting too much suds, I started with less, and kept adding more to be safe. You could probably add even more because I didn't notice any Ill effects, I may try that myself next. I thought it was doing nothing till I got out of the tub, then I saw them appear on my feet, at least 4-5 on each foot. Note this, as I went to get some Q-tips to get samples, I got one, and noticed then they were gone? I'm afraid they were not dead, but stunned, and got away (fell off) before I could get any more,,,do you believe this? Unreal, they were not dead, but did come to the skin surface, and left like rats deserting a sinking ship! I don't know if they died after leaving my skin? but it didn't matter, I got the results I was looking for. I also noticed I got a few bites on my body after this like they were trying to get last licks! But, at least I saw them, and I know what's been eating me now, and how they do it invisibly, they are identified! I know my enemy! It looks like a bird mite of some type! "I got your number now bug!",,,lol. I don't know if they brought along, or are teamed up with any, distant relative parasite with them? but I didn't see anything else.
I slept well, after this with no bites, or crawling either, thank god. Good hunting N.D.C.T.
Same experience exactly. Dawn works and that is proof.it also knocks them down in the car ... Sadly not out yet!

I tried a lot of shit in the past 3 years and nothing I mean nothing worked as good as turmeric paste. Unfortunately it leaves you looking a little yellow for about a week but I haven't itched in over 2 weeks. No bumps, no itch! I covered my body in turmeric paste from knees to nipples for 8 days! No more itching and changed my bed and cleaned my whole house! Turned toilet and everything yellow but I'm free!
