Ive had scabies now for probably 3 months. Really sucks. I can identify with being super depressed and itching beyond belief to literally tearing through my skin. I put straight up tea trea oil all over my skin after a shower and soaked in hot baths for 20- 60 min with like twenty drops in the water. Helped quite abit. Didn't get rid of them but I'm definitely tolerating it better now and can sleep at night and do my job at work without itching my self all day. Going to order the Iver liquid and give it a shot. Let you know how it goes. I agree with a lot of the others, seems like this condition gets misdiagnosed and treated so lightly. I almost was going out of mind when I was having "scratch attacks".

Permethrin is not as toxic as most people here think. It is a synthesized version of Pyrethrin, a naturally occurring substance from a flower. It affects the flow of sodium out of the nerve cells in insects, resulting in repeated and extended firings of the nerves, causing the insects to die. However in most bug sprays the carrier oils are what are toxic. They are petro chemical based and not refined for human topical application.

Piperonyl butoxide, a synergist, is often used in combination with pyrethrin and permetherin, making the mixture more effective by not allowing the insect's system to detoxify the pyrethrin.

When I fist used Permetherin, it seemed to have no effect what so ever however the second time, My skin tingled especially the outer ear. It leads me to believe that as with Pyrmethrin, Permethrin also brakes down over time becoming less effective before its even out of the tube if its aged, exposed to excessive heat, cold or oxygen.

There are a variety of chemical versions like Bifenthrin, Deltametherin etc.

I have experimented with other “metherins” and find Bifenthrin to tingle even more than Permethrin. I used it right out of the bottle in a condensed thick milky water based liquid that states its 7.9% I DO NOT recommend this. It may have worked for my scalp but my scalp is the least sensitive part on my body and I knew I’d be able to tolerate it have weeks of experimenting.

To those who are running thin and spiritually tired. Just hold on, keep take a step at a time and do your best. ITs terrible, it sucks but if you can get back to sleeping at night, you are on your way. Most people get over this. Some longer than others. This forum also contains comments from long term sufferes. Keep in mind many of them don't have obvious signs and symptoms, may be immuno compromised or have another less variety of mites assumed are scabies as they have not gotten a diagnosis.

I think there are very few long their suffers here that are actually still riddled with the human scabies mite. Their destiny is not yours. There are toms of helpful advise here, tons of success stories. There are also tons of nightmares that can send you into a downward spiral.

Healing also means treating your self good. It is part of the healing process to stop scouring this forum when you are in that downward spiral and rest.

Did you get cured form the liquid form? That's what I have. I am going to get the pills next week. I read that using the swine iver and pill is the same...I have been doing it for 3 weeks now, and I don't see a huge improvement. I was already itch free. I was hoping this would kill the last stragglers

From what I have read, "some of the last straggler's" might not actually be straggler's, but post scabies. I was not even aware there was such a thing as post scabies. I understand from the readings it can take up to six weeks for the last of the itching to subside. There is suppose to be feces and part of the mites still left in our skin, and that is what makes us itch in post scabies. Each day I am itching less and less, so hoping this is almost over. Did two treatments with the cream, and took shower (warm water only) using sulfur soap and hair shampoo. I can't say the cream is curing us, but I believe it did help a lot. I have used sulfur ointment when the itching was real bad. Now i use generic vick's vapor rub, as it is a lot like vaseline for the skin. I have a hard time with vaseline pasted all over my body, but it is suppose to drowned out the mites, and help the skin at the same time. I prefer the vick's which is petroleum jelly. We did this second treatment of the cream on Dec 24th. As of today (Jan 5th) I am feeling pretty good. Did a rub down with generic vick's tonight. Last night I actually tried something out of the ordinary. I was scared to do it but I used Efficascent Oil mixed with close to half GASOLINE! Yes, I said GASOLINE! My Wife said they used to use gasoline like this in the Phillipines when she was growing up. Her Grandma taught her about it. After doing it, it wasn't too bad, just stunk like gasoline. I slept great, no itching what so ever. I am ordering more efficascent oil and will dilute it again with gasoline. I won't do this nightly like that, but it is helping a lot. The tracking I saw on my body before using this mixture was kin of bad. Today almost all gone. I have iver pills coming, but the are coming from the UK, and it seems to take a very long time to get anything from the UK delivered to the USA. Good luck everyone. I am hoping I may be about done with this stuff.

Well for me it's the random bumps coming up, black specs when I put on TTO or even sulfur cream. I was thinking if they are all dead how come these tiny black specs are coming out? I was really itchy last night but didn't interrupt my sleep I had huge red patches on my arm, but there gone this am. I have read in post scabies this happens a lot. I was planing on 2 more iver...I hope this will be it. I need for this to be done its been to long. Good luck Lyle and let us know what happens with the iver

OK the original post sounded a bit convincing but she did not say how she took the medicine. I've bought the medicine and the directions clearly warn to to use in humans. Did she inject herself or drink it with water? It also warns to to take orally.

Has anybody tried it exactly as the original poster described it?

and have you had any results? or side effects?

Thanks.

She put in water, I have tired it. I have taken the iver, 4x's really 3 because 1st time I did wrong. I'm not sure how great it worked. I don't think I am cured. I will do it 2 more times. I actually did the last two times at a higher dosage. I did 2,0ml and I weigh 124. My eyes were blurry, but that was it . Good luck. I haven't died yet lol

My family has not had a new borrow since taking Iver on Dec 1st/ My family took it every 7 days for 5 weeks. We bathed with sulfer or tea tree soap. I also would add tea tree oil to a cotton ball and rub each place that itched (there was usually a bug there, I have a small 60power scope, cannot see the legs but I can see the oval body). We also would spray ourselves with pokeroot (we had a few growing around the barn, my husband dug the root up and I boiled them, put in a spray bottle and would sprya ourselves while in the tub then washed it off, I had to quit doing this I started getting leg cramps real bad). We would also spray with lamp oil sometimes wait 10 minutes then wash, I also rubbed clove oil on me one time, it burnt like fire. All that said we believe we are now in the post scabie mode. We have had no new burrows for 42 days. The female mite that was in the burrow does not live longer than 21 days. So I have no new mites. Also the mites do not live on your body but for 1-2 months then die. I feel crawls some times but I always swipe with a cotton ball with tea tree on the area but have found not mites. This is my safety net. I know I am total cured on Jan 29 (this is day 60, to months with out a new burrow). I still wash in 122 degree water and dry on the dryer. I do not touch my clothes without gloves on until Jan. 29. I vaccum every other day. Spray my tub with perm after each shower. All dirty clothes go in garbage bags until wash day. Keep the fight up. I have cried a many a tear and have been totally wear out but I had to keep pressing on and with Gods help I am almost over this nightmare.

I'm really happy for you I know that you were really down, because you hadn't seen your family (I'm desperate and missing my family I just got a log in) in the 5 weeks you have seen mites correct? Have you had any bites? You helped me a lot with dosage. I'm getting bites still....burrows I don't know I get pimples but they don't itch I know everyone's burrows look different. I did sulphur last night and got a track on my hand. They are pissed with the sulphur. I did iver again today 5th week....not sure if I am cured. I was thinking how much this takes away from our lives...Saturday and all I'm going to do is cleaning. Sigh...

We are now doing the post scabies thing, I believe! We are seeing the black specs, also. I am assuming this is feces or body parts left over. Now and then we see something white, and I think it is eggs, maybe? Itching less and less all the time. Did the efficascent oil mixed with gasoline last night once again. This is the seconds time I have done that. Other than the smell for a little bit, it's not too bad. I don't think they like this mixture. Hopefully, we are on the downhill side of all of this. We are still bagging clothes, cleaning, etc. I wish you all good luck with this problem. Keep on top of it, or it will only get worse.

Please DO NOT drink Noromectin. I drank it slightly higher dosage and almost died. I was saved because I vomited most of it. Please DO NOT take any drugs made for Animals, especially higher doses, because they are powerful and can kill you. I went to the emergency room the next day and they said my blood toxic level was ok, but 5 days later I still feel very sick.

Shame on the original poster "andreaamericangirl" for spreading this deadly advice and putting peoples' lives in danger.

I will update later whether or not I recover from this.

Sorry to hear that you got so sick! I have done this a 4x and never had a problem. Actually a lot of people have and actually have been cured. Maybe you are allergic to something in the iver? I hope you get better!!
