Not sure this will even be answered, but can ivermectin cause urinary incontinence? My 9 yo dd took a dose last night (she weighs 73 lbs so I gave her 0.65 ml). She had an accident in her sleep and then again this afternoon. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? Would this be considered a typical side effect or should I definitely not give her another dose? I tried Google with little success. Oh, also I have Ivomec that we took. Everyone else has tolerated it well.

Hi again. I wanted to say that I know that a chart was given on the first page about how much ivermectin to use. I'm not trying to waste anyone's time by having you repeat what's already been said in this forum, but I did get confused about what to take for someone my size (about 123 pounds) who seems to be resistant to Perm but toleated Stromectol very well. I also wanted to know if anyone had used the Durvet brand--is it good, or is there a better one out there? It has to be taken on an empty stomach, right? And how to mix Advantix II...what simple cream or lotion can I mix Advantix with and in what proportion so it will work but won't burn a few layers of skin off at the same time (although that may just help get rid of this bug from hell!). I truly appreciate all answers. Take care, everyone.

Hi, Needpeace34; thanks for asking. Well, my Durvet horsepaste arrived last Friday from eBay, and I got the dose figured out with your help. but I'm just getting up enough nerve to use it! I mean, I've used Stromectol before, and had no side effects. But I guess I feel weird dosing myself for the first time. I think I may have been bitten once more on my arm yesterday, but I rubbed perm into it immediately and it doesn't itch or anything; just a little bump with that red dot center. Don't know if it was from my surroundings or a hatchling aleady on me that matured enough to bite. So I guess I really should go ahead and do it already! I will post more after I've actually gone and done it. How are you doing??

I was so scared when I first got my iver in the mail. I got the injectable one. I had to go to the pharmacy to buy a needle. It was fine though. I remember having a sore thirst, eyes were a little blurry but it bounced back, and I was tired. I have read people say that they took it at night. i think if i have to fo it again i will do that. Few days after I had the iver itch. It sucked! Did you feel pinpricking? Do you think it might be the debri coming up from your skin? I'm starting to feel normal, but it's a roller coaster. This crap is just as much mental as it is physical. Keep us posted on your iver treatment. Good luck!!

Need, This debri you speak of, is this the black and white specs I see coming up from my skin? How long should a person generally see these black specs?

Hi Lyle, yes I was talking about the black and white specks. I'm not sure how long it takes for it to stop coming up from your skin. I did read on the Mayo Clinic that black specks do come up from the skin when you have scabies. Hows the iver going?

So far two doses of iver have been taken. It weird, at times I still feel itching here and there, and other times no itching. I am finding the specs on my body, so I am wondering if this means they are dead. I just wondering how long this itching will last, if they are really dead. I don't notice any new bites, which is good!

No bites or tracks is good! I read There is something called the iver itch I guess you feel it a few days later. Post scabies are suppose it last a while. As long as it doesn't feel like when you had scabies. How many weeks are doing iver for?

Just finished the fourth week of inver. Still feeling some itching. This is after doing the cream thing six weeks ago. I still itch now and then. It must take quite a while to get rid of the post scabies itches. So annoying. It seems you are always running scared, wondering if you actually are in post scabies. No new bites, but finding black and white specks coming from the skin. If the iver and cream doesn't work, I'm not sure what is the next step. I understand you can not take iver for at least three months proceeding the last treatment.

Hey Lyle ck out some of the post scabie threads. There is some good info on there. Have you tired taking Epsom salt baths? The baths help repair your skin. The prem affects everyone differently. I had muscle twitching (and still do, but not as bad) after I did the prem. Do you mean that you should or can use iver for 3 months? I think it was Lang that said he had to use it for 2-3 months 7 days apart. The hardest part is not knowing!! The black and white specks are annoying but the mayo clinic says that after treatment you would see some black specks. Do you feel crawling?

I know what i see.How the hell are we supposed to get this horrible stiuff out of us if you say we shouldn't take the invermectin.?what could happen... will we drop dead?
He has a bad liver, cirrotic supposedly.. me i have hep C but have been in remission for a very very long time and am in good health with no problems at all for ages.

Lol @ radiation suites. The docs do suck.
You do what you feel like you need to do, but iver is suppose to be really for you liver. Have you tired prem 5%, sulfur, or BB? Here's a link were you can buy bb

Look up the side affects of using iver. Maybe try the other treatments before trying iver..

I guess i am just in the land of the lost. i have this rising feeling of panic about this whole thing. how the hell did we get this junk anyways... like it matters.. or does it? are there different kinds? My husband is diabetic so prone to infections so i feel this desperate need to get this stuff the hay off us now.
We have 7 Cats, the poor lil' "fackes" we gave it to them i think. i know they didn't give it to us. I thought my husband was nutz and just having neuropathy and a tad acid flash- back with the old bug thing.... then i after a couple months i started noticing stuff on me just lil dit dots and then finally one of those trails round at one end and then a trail away from it or to it i couldn't tell which came first. the cats started batting at themselves and chewing like they had fleas but don't. Hubby kept saying damn it these spots just appear on me and it feels like something is biting me and then when he tried to pull it off he said it "fought back."
Now dear god I am in hell.
The biggest relief we have is bleach bathes but it is so weird i feel like everything is contaminated. i step out of the tub and if what i touch hasn't been disinfected then i feel like it is all climbing back on me or or pervading me all over again it is insane. I found these damn things embedded in my countertop? can they do that?!!! Now i feel like i am losing my mind is it in my food can i see it or os ot invisible.? I have arthritis and recently it got real bad in my hands and even my feet. hubby brought home some clobisterol (sp?) cream and i put some on my hand... hell i started seeing little blavk dots a tiny slits on my hand one looked like a little tiny sliver but when i tried to pull it out like a splinter it hurt like hell and wouldn't come out.
go ahead just say it I AM CRAZY just flat out gone round the bend... and what is thing "Morgollons please not that what ever it is i thas to be worse yet i am sure.
Maybe I should just take us all out back in the alley and put one behind each ear then put one between my eyes. sure would be easier than getting rid of this if everything i read here true.
It is so disgusting creepy and painful

I also find creepy weird things all around the floor of the house dried up ugh, i don't what they are. i vacuum and vacuum and vacuum and dump that cannister while trying not to touch it. My hair is about ready to start falling out from the bleach. I am trying to keep my composure and not think about it and do the right things but i am getting too freaked out to know if i am anymore.
Sorry if i sound crazy, it is only because i am.
I just feel like they are in everything as soon as i touch it it is contaminated, at least that is how it seems. I look and they appear to be imbedded in everything.... i must be crazy.

Hi: Actually Prem cream is permethrin cream (AKA Elimite), usually prescribed in 5% strength dosage for humans. No; pretty sure the sulfamide antibiotics won't kill this damn bug, if that's what you've got. I don't trust doctors either, and I think most people on this forum don't. What docs don't know about scabies is scary/pitiful, and they really couldn't care less about it. Try ivermectin (Stromectol is its prescribed name) to help get rid of it. Ivermectin horsepaste is what a lot of us use, since most docs (like mine) think prescribing Stromectol in more than one weak dose (which is NOT enough) is too much for your liver--they ignore all the research saying that it's pretty well tolerated by humans for treating scabies. Buy a good brand of ivermectin horsepaste (I've used Durvet's, and have not dropped dead yet) from some feedstore near you, or from eBay or Amazon.com . And follow the dosing directions given at the beginning of this thread. I think that you can make the dosages a little stronger, but that's just my personal experience.

In the meantime, between using ivermectin, use the perm cream. If your doc won't prescribe permethrin cream, or enough of it to really help you, you have to buy some thing else, like Advantix II--search for that on this forum as to how to use it. In the meantime, try to follow everyone's advice on this forum about cleaning, etc. That's all you can do. If that doesn't help in your particular situation, you can resort to bombing your house with Raid fumigators in blue box, with 3 cans in each box, the way I did. They contain permethrin.(The Raid ones in the orange boxes don't contain perm.) That would help get rid of them from your surroundings, but you still have to clean, dry clean your clothes, wash on very hot temps, etc.

I know the Raid is a lot of bug poison, and people here might yell that it would be killing ourselves with that much, but sometimes, it's all that will help. I think it helped me and my family a lot. As someone else on this forum once said, desperate times call for desperate measures. Just my opinion, but I agree.

Lord...I just found out that my boss has this bug!!!! Noticed him scratching for about a month now (you tend to notice things like that once you've dealt with this insect), and finally yesterday, he yelled, "Something bit me!" I almost fainted. I went into his office, and he showed me his forearm, and, well, what do you think it looked like? So how can I deal with that?!? Both at work and at home?!? I just suggested to him he make an appointment with his dermatologist right away--who will probably prescribe some ecxema cream. I'm feeling somewhat bitter today about this thing. Sorry. maybe I'll start another thread about how to deal with it at work.
