on the side of my left pinky finger and on the side of my right index finger, i have a few very small, tiny bumps...there are no track marks from what i can tell and no solid black tiny dots (i've had scabies and started treatment a month ago iver/perm and know what those black dots are)....they don't look like burrows. i've been cleared up for awhile now and havent itched either but these things concern me a bit....if i put them in the light there is like a greyish shadow circle inside them, hard to explain but not that tiny black dot....i guess it reminds me of fish eggs lol! the clear outside and dark fetus on the inside...i don't know. anyway...i hope this isn't a reinfestation. i'm almost out of perm, but i want to do another full body. the areas don't itch either. what could it be? is it a scabies reinfest?

Well, they say if new sores appear, that yes, you need to re-treat. But, I would have them scraped and looked at immediately, so that you don't treat yourself unnecessarily. The doctor will look at it under a microscope.

That's MO. I'm going to the dermatologist tomorrow.

Boo,

i have something similar to what you are talking about (e.g. fish egg looking clear blister on the palm of my hand). however, i was not previous diagnosed with scabies. did you find out what it was or did it simply go away?

I think it could be a little staph infection. Wash this area with antibiotic soap Dial, etc, and if you can't get an appointment tomorrow, put some neosporin on it. Scabies seem to go hand in hand with secondary staph. I agree that you should go to the Doc, but before you get an appointment try to keep it very, very clean. Cover with a bandaid.

I think its a chemical reaction to perm. I had it.

And peachy, I went to 3 docs and no one looked under anything with a microscope.

I have exactly the description Boo said. Except, I've never had scabies. I looked up pictures of it, but that doesn't seem to be it. The pictures were red and rashy looking? They didn't itch at first, but the new bump that came up itches. It was just an ordinary bump, not an itch or anything, but I picked at it, and noticed the little bumps that look like eggs around it. I popped them and puss came out, but they never went away. The skin started to peel and a bump came up right around the edge of the peeling skin, and a bump came up exactly where it touches my index finger. My aunt won't take me to the doctor; She says just to be bactroban and a bandaid on it.

Sounds to me like what I read about and have around my thumbs but no way of knowing, of course. I have experience with warts on the hands and this looks the same but when I read about the signs of scabies, crusted/norwegian kind, it said when they get on the fingers, they look like baby warts! I also have a redness at the base, some pealing and did have some itching which always had when a wart was coming up. Hate to give the possible bad news but google it. Good luck as I know "we all" need it with this crap!

I have these clear dots on my hands and fingers as well that I thought were warts although they are mostly under the skin. They have come and gone but now I have more of them. They are not really itchy or bothersome but have a slightly tingly feeling. Now I found out someone I know may have scabies so I am trying to figure out if this is scabies but it doesn't match up with what I am reading online and the pictures of scabies. I have a few red dots on my arm that aren't really itchy but look like poison oak to me. I understand that scabies are intensely itchy so I'm not sure if I have them. I am treating my family with essential oils and washing everything just in case. I'm curious if the people who posted here had scabies or no.

That doesn't sound like what the others are talking about. Most of us have these hard bumps that aren't peeling but sometimes itch. Which is why I came here.

Lola, your's sounds more like either a bad infection caused by something you touched or used recently. Puss is usually a result of terrible irritations, and the body's way of fighting them results in the puss. I hope you went to see your doctor.

This is scabies. Not all cases are identical. Go to a chemist and buy Lyclear cream, apply all over your body from scalp to toes. Clean your environment thoroughly, and with Borax added to the washing.

This sounds very similiar to Dyshidrosis (aka hand eczema).

Ah! I have the same thing! I have a small blister like bump on my left middle finger. It's small, it itches, and there is a tiny black dot in the middle of it. I had a couple before and I had popped them thinking that I just had some splinters. They eventually went away, but left a little dark scar. It seems to come and go, and only stays on my hands/fingers. Only a couple at a time. I can't find any answers with any of the research I've done.

Pompholyx or Dishydrotic Exczema is an autoimmune disorder characterized by small, fluid filled bumps typically confined to hands and feet. The rash comes and goes in stages including bumps which either get popped or start the dry out, peeling and cracking, new skin formation and then it starts all over again. From my experience the rash gets worse over the years. It is widely thought that many individuals with Pompholyx have nickel and many other food and chemical sensitivies which trigger the disorder. I hope some of this information is useful.

From what I can tell, These bumps are the keratin/skin cells that the mite pushes out when it digs into the skin. Something in it's body or our sebum it uses causes the skin to then become a 'plug' over the hole it made. These are not fluid-filled, they are round, clear skin plugs stuck onto the skin. Hard to get off. I have thousands of tiny ones and had two big ones on my thigh where it later turned out there was two huge nests under the skin. These two plugs were about the size of a frozen pea in diameter and I could lift the edges with a fingernail over a period of time and peel it off. It would hurt and I could see the tiny hole in the middle underneath it. At that time I did not realise it was a nest cover. The big ones are where more than one mite enters the same hole. Sorry guys. It's gross I know. Doctors appear to have no knowledge of this phenonema.

The same exact thing happened to me, I had these bumps deep in my palm and duh knife into it and pus came out. I also have 3 bumps on my middle finger and I pop them as well. I have had scabies but over 4 months ago, I really want to know what this is definetly not scabies I know that!
