Well. I'm newly infected suspected something about a week before I called telehealth. Went to walk in clinic and called our local health unit then verified with my doctor.I did a bit of reading. As soon as it was mentioned that they are a parasite my mind went back to few years ago working in construction. I can't pin it down but I ended up with an internal parasite infection. I was serious sick for almost 2 months flu like symptoms swollen neck, night sweat weird cravings internal bites?about 15 minutes before lunch and break I could feel them in my gullet, they were hungry.A series of coincidence lead to my own self diagnosis. That could not be verified in the sample I gave to my doctor. A coworker at the same time was dealing with itchy bum parasites common in daycare where his wife worked. They did invermin (spelling) the pharmaceutical his wife 2nd. Dose 2 weeks after first made her really I'll. After 2 weeks of research and consulting my naturopath. And a litmus test with pumpkin. Seeds.I preceded with 7 or 10 day homeopathic parasite cleanse. All my symptoms dissappear ed and I'd never felt healthier in my adult life. Ihad serious gastrointestinal problems before cleanse. After was back to my old self and had lost 10 lbs. From what I can figure I. Had 3 different ones.

I'm not sure if any of this applies but pumpkin seeds are a good litmus test. I tried 3 seeds and reacted,2 of my 5 kids reacted one right away one the next morning. Cranberries are also antiparsitic.not sure if these only work for internal. Problems. The treatment I used consisted of wormwood ( be careful) I'm highly sensitive to prescription medication so was told to start low dose. This kills multiple species of adults, black walnut hull, and non irradiated cloves this kills 100 species of eggs. Each item was 15 to 20 dollars and was more than 2 round of treatments if I chose. Maybe this might be an option for some to try

I've had scabies twice. Can you believe it? But, I travel for a living, and I am constantly in hotels and different environments which enable me to catch scabies quick. Anyway, Let me save you from the horror of scabies. I've tried everything natural from apple cider vinegar, neem, tea tree oil, peppermint soap, sulfur soap/cream, tumeric powder. I am afraid of medication, and everything in the doctor's world. But, let me tell you. All these natural treatments just didn't work. It just prolonged scabies for months. I know, now. That if I have the slightest inclination that I got scabies, I am immediately heading to my doctor for a prescription of Ivermectin! I would skip the permethrin cream. My skin is not the same. I am healing from horrible skin. Right now I am using unrefined virgin coconut oil to soothe my skin. Trust me, the longer you have scabies the harder it is to get rid of. Plus, I got a steam cleaner. You can buy it cheap, at target for $30. Steamed my bedding, couch anything porous. The key, is to treat everyone in the household at once. Just in case, I also bathed my cats with natural flea shampoo. But, it's true. Scabies can't live off cats. Anyway, stick to the Ivermectin. If you don't clean your environment like a mad woman/man, it's possible to get reinfected.

Thanks for the advice. I agree Ivermectin works the best. How long did it take a after ivermectin for the bumps to go completely away and for no new bumps to reappear?

Thank you so much. At first I thought the scabies had come back, but my symptoms are exactly like the rest of yalls. I have no clue where I got them from. Anyways, after I treated them, the next two days I was slightly itchy. Then all bumps went away. But The fourth day after treatment I was itching like crazy again, and bumps were returning. So I HOPE, AND PRAY TO THE LORD- that these are just after effects.
Did they go then emily?
Mine is exactly the same as yours. Bumps dissappeared then 4days after I am itchy as hell and new bumps are returning...

My bumps went away after treatment but then reappeared (but much fewer). I've been to the derm dozens of times and they say it's no longer active scabies, but it's very hard to convince myself of this, mainly because I never had rashes EVER in my life prior to scabies and i am still somewhat itchy.. The bumps come and go in crops, sometimes they stay longer than other times.

Help! I had about ten treatment of permithian 5% as well as three tubes of Eurex, tried neem oil, sulfur cream. Nothing works & they don't prescribe ivermectin here in canada! I'm desperate ready to drive to the states to get it!

You can 1.87% ivermectin horse paste state side through amazon. It's the same thing as the pills and safer than the BS online pharmacies. I've used it and so have many on this forum. You match the paste to your body weight and the taste is very bland and a little bitter. Lots of info on the paste on this forum.

How many treatments of this horse paste should I do? And with what time interval in between?

This is a standard protocol used by dermatologists for severe scabies such as crusted, in a month, days 1,2,8,9,15,22,29 only once per day. Others suggest once every 3 days or once a week. It really depends on how bad your infected. The horse paste has helped cure a lot of people but also has been infective to others as the scabies can develop a resistance.

Ivermectin won't kill the eggs only the adults so several treatments may be needed. It should be taken on an empty stomach with a full glass of water 2 hours before a meal and wait 1 hour after dosage before eating

I hope that helped.

I have treated twice w/Pemethrin 5 percent and once w/Malathion from my doc ... right after the Perm treatment I noticed new spots (brownish red) that actually look like new burrows or holes... can this be just a few hours after appliying the cream? I thought the cream would kill the mites... how can new holes/bumps show up? I tents to pick at them w/tweezers and pull out black matter/greyish looking dot.. is this the mite? any help would be appreciated..its going on a month and I am starting to feel hopeless and helpless...

Are you still having the same problem? The black dots you see after treatment is dead organic matter. This means they are the dead mites, eggs, and their shit. Death under your skin will also look gray. If you are getting new red dots then there is still activity of mites, which means you did not kill all the mites. The reason some mites survive is because some burrow deeper than others. Eggs survive this way as well. Bring mites to the surface with sulfur soap then do another treatment. Don't pick the black stuff off your skin as you might cause an infection. They're dead and cannot hurt you anymore. They will come off eventually. I've been dealing with these fucking things for a week and a half now. I use sulfur soap and "Kleen Free" which I purchased off of Amazon. So far I've seen an improvement on my skin, and like you, have these dead black dots and grayish crap under my skin. Good sign as it shows I'm killing these fuckers. Sorry, but I hate these fucking things from hell. I caught scabies after letting a group of kids pet my dog one day as I was walking him. I will NEVER do that again. I have these little mites on my hands, arms, legs, around my breasts, neck, around and in my ears, and around my hair line. Some crawled from my ears down the cheeks of my face. What the hell? There are now eggs in my face. I'm noticing they're crawling to my ass as well and I am NOT diggin it.

When treating yourself, make sure to rub the Permetrin into your skin. It will usually penetrate deep enough, but again some mites burrow deeper than others. Likewise, when washing with sulfur soap, be sure to penetrate the skin and rub that stuff in. Lather it up and rub rub rub until it's a paste on your skin and then let it sit for awhile.

Forgive me but I've noticed you've been on here for quite sometime and I have a few questions for you. With as long as you've had this have you passed it on to others? My child has to go to school and my husband and I go to work and I just can't help but imagine we've spread this to everyone everywhere. I share a desk at work which has me the most concerned. we had this for months before realizing it so I feel like no matter how much I wipe things down now, the damage is done. Also I can only remind my daughter to not hug/ hold hands/ touch others but she is too young and forgetful to really follow through. Other than work and school we don't go to others houses and we don't have anyone over ever. It's been very hard this holiday season, especially on my kids. Have you had anyone in your home and not have had issues with transmission ? I also ask because I'm supposed watch a child twice a week for someone and have not been able to like agreed and am putting their job at risk and feel awful . I wonder if with the constant laundry, cleaning the house and daily bathing routine, if even though we still have it ,are we and our enviroment is less contagious? I figure only someone who's had for awhile can answer. I was watching this child a few weeks before we found out about this so she was exposed and the parents are aware we are battling this and say that she shows no symptoms.

I guess what I'm asking is do you find you are less contagious while doing all the routine stuff were supposed to do with this wretched affliction? I want to hope that's the case. Also do you feel like enviroment is as key as everyone seems to think? With the lengths we go thru daily to eliminate this from our surrounding I picture us shedding mites like dandruff all around everywhere. But if that was the case wouldn't eveyone everywhere have this,? Just by using a public toilet or opening a door knob?

Depressedandanxious, once you have all been treated and are 2 weeks out from treatment, with the amount of cleaning you are doing it's unlikely for you to give it to anyone else. I share your pain - scabies is way more complicated when you have kids. Kids want to touch everything, and it's a constant concerned they are going to pick it up in the community.

We are almost 10 weeks from our last perm treatment but in this 10 weeks I've tried various home remedies. I was really starting to believe we were in post scabies but my daughter got like a cluster of bumps on her hands last night and the small wate filled blisters on one finger. I also have still been get itchy mosquito bite type bumps on my face on and off these last 10 weeks. sigh it's so hard to say and I'm so tired of it. I stopped the manic cleaning weeks ago and now I'm starting to think that was a mistake.
