Hey to everyone who has read my posts, I've had a break through. I've got rid of the scabies completely with Eucalyptus oil. I have tried benzyl benzoate, Lycream with 5% permethrin,(both of which are toxic and I don't recommend, plus they have an effect but don't kill all the mites etc.) The natural treatments I have tried are neem leaf extract, tea tree oil, and eucalyptus oil. Both neem leaf extract and tea tree oil help keep the mites at bay but won't kill it, I believe EUCALYPTUS OIL KILLS SCABIES!!
Eucalyptus oil is cheap and effective, it will kill the mites and heal the rash REALLY FAST. You can also put it in with your washing and use it to wipe down surfaces.
I still recommend dry brushing, the great thing about dry brushing is that it shows you that there are actually a lot more toxins under your skin than there appears to be.
My story: I had a rash on chest, about the size of a 50 cent piece. I used benzyl benzoate but the rash spread to my inner elbow. I used Lycream with 5% permethrin but the rash continued to spread. I started exfoliating, when I exfoliated it exposed toxins on my chest, my whole chest area actually had toxins in it which had not yet manifested in a rash. As I exfoliated a rash appeared all over my chest, this is not because i spread the rash, but because the toxins were already there just beneath the surface and hadn't become full blown 'pimples' yet. Exfoliating this area took the head off the barely there pimples and brushed away the toxins. The rash quickly scabbed up,(I applied a sulfur paste which quickened the scabbing, detoxing and healing but you don't need to do this, it's pricey...just use the Eucalyptus oil). Eucalyptus oil will help take away the redness of the rash and dry up any 'pusiness'. But don't over do it!!
Warning with the Eucalyptus: Its powerful stuff, I would recommend covering your whole body with it 2 days in a row. After that use very sparingly because repeated use will cause itching. You may continue to itch after the 2 applications, relax, you have killed a lot of mites and you will feel the effects of the toxins for a few days. If you itch don't scratch, exfoliate with a brush. If you don't feel comfortable having nothing on your skin then use tea tree oil or neem leaf extract. These two treatments are more gentle and shouldn't cause itching. I'm sure this is going to work for you, remember before money hungry pharmaceutical companies came along people dealt with scabies naturally, I believe this is how Indigenous Australians dealt with it, and neem leaf extract and tea is how Indian/Asian people dealt with it. Good luck! No-one deserves scabies and I wish you all luck in getting rid of it, I'm sure Eucalyptus will work for you!! Xxx
Sorry I forgot to mention this regarding Eucalyptus, DON'T USE IT FULL STRENGTH ON GENITALS. I am fortunate in that I never had any itching on my genitals but for those who have and want to put Eucalyptus there: put a few drops in with...I don't know...maybe 50 mls of a carrier oil..the dilution is up to you. Eucalyptus WILL sting the genitals really badly if not greatly diluted. I didn't put any on mine, I just put it on my thighs and that in itself caused stinging on my genitals. Remember to do your WHOLE body.. I missed the soles of my feet and after about 5 minutes I could feel a lot of 'activity' there, not itching, more like crawling, I slapped on some eucalyptus and that put an end to it all.
Use eucalyptus on your scalp too, leave it in overnight and wash out the next day. I wouldn't recommend it on the face but if it is necessary then dilute it as you would for the genitals.

This has been a truly horrible experience. I dont know how I was infected but an itchy rash appeared on my back below my neck. I googled it and thought I had scabies and went to the Dr. I have had 3 applications of Malaiathon and two of permetherin. I think they are finally going. I shower twice a day and exfoliate and finish off with a teatree oil bodywash. Im also using tea tree oil shampoo. It has truely driven me crazy over the five weeks. I have worn two sets of clothing and 1 pyjamas, wearing them only once and washing them, also changing the bed linen every day. They must be really difficult to catch as I havent infected my 3 children or husband. I have covered my matress and only sit in a leather chair which I wipe down with a bleach solution. I am generally very clean and mop my floors with a bleach solution every day. The worst thing has been the fear of infecting my youngest son who sits on my knee and gets into my bed. My husband has had to do all the washing and putting children to bed.I dont even go into my wardrobe anymore for fear of infesting my clothes. I think Im in post scabies because the itch feels different even though I have a few lumps under my skin there are no new burrows. Im itchy anyway because I am so dry, I just keep applying cocoa butter. I wish everybody luck in dealing with this horrible horrible thing.

Adana, thank you, I am sure hoping these little buggers are suffocating. I am really confused though because they say that most scabies sufferers only have 3-10 mites that burrow into the skin to lay eggs. I have hundreds of them under my skin. They say that bird mites do not burrow, so I am basing my conclusion of scabies on that fact, and praying that these are not some evolved species that burrows and has a "shelf life" (without a host) of 9 months, like some bird mites.
Regardless of what kind of mites I have, I am trying to take every precaution to get rid of them. But, dang these things are vicious. I have put straight 100% tea tree oil on my entire body to just have 30 or so of them running across the top of my skin while attempting to go to sleep. even a concoction of windex, alcohol, and ammonia does not stop these things, just my luck I got a damned super mite.
Sorry to hear you are doing worse and I pray that all sufferers of mites find relief. I ordered some diatomaceous earth online and hopefully it will be here in a few days, I will be ingesting it as well as puffing it around the entire house. The more I read about these mites, the more important it seems to change the body ph levels to make yourself a less hospitable host. Also I have been reading about the health benefits of DE and how it helps a whole host of ailments, and keeps the body running more efficiently.
God Bless you all, and keep up the good fight. If it was not for this forum I would probably be admitting myself to the looney bin.

I got scabies from having a low immune system at college. I really feel for everyone. If you have the pimple like break outs or I have have large ones it is horrible. I used Permithicin two times and while I the mites are dead they have to come out. . . it takes a year if you've had them and didn't know it. At least a year. It's horrible. I use sulfer creams that draw them out and make you itch, salt scrubs and just watched the damn things come up then go away. Metrogel is interesting it heals some. I am not contagious but I still have breakouts on my legs. Sucks. God help us. I actually only was treated as a household member had it, it was after treatment that my skin went crazy pushing those dead things out. It's bad. This too shall pass.

Go to a sauna. Take very hot baths with 2 lb of sea salt for over an hour. Exercise and sweat a lot. Drink lots of water. All these things will help expel the debris.

A friend of mine gave me a packtite heat chamber ( this is usually used for bed bugs ) but I will work also for any mite. It is expensive like 300 bucks but the way it has helped me is to make sure everything is covered. Meaning every night I place in the packtite ( the bag I will use next day, towel I will use next day, wallet I will use, scarf , shoes, socks, underwear) now that is summer this heat chamber gets to 145 F. And if you put a heater in the room where the packtite is it goes even higher. So leave things there for 4/6 hours and thing literally come out like hot potatoes. Awesome. The peace of mind that this thing gives me is priceless. I know nothing can survive to that tempeture for 4 hours. Nothing. So besides cleaning, laudry and vacuuming...I feel good I am cooking the rest that still alive in my personal items. Yay! Lol

I have decided to do two saftey treatments at one week intervals.
2 days of iver and BBTT/BB.
I am on day two of the first round and after retreating i have to say the intensity of my symptoms has increased significantly!! The itching is lasting longer, the pinpricks are back and the crawling has doubled!!!
The only thing i have changed is i retreated.
I will now wait 1 more week and do the same.
I will also retreat with peremthrin at some point to see what that does so i can tell you guys. I suspect it will bring on my symptoms even worse.
I know that some of you are probably thinking i might still be infested but i am completely certain that i am not. I feel about 80% the same but there are a few things which are qualitatively different (mention above), plus after i week off treatment things have slowly and consistantly got better. plus i havent seen any new skin bumps at all.
I am confident i am cured, but it took removing all possibility otherwise to convince me of this.
Dear Progress, as our family has been fighting mites for the better part of 7 years, l sympathize with your plight. l also agree with 99% of everything you posted. l successfully rid myself of mites finally with citric acid and kerosene, so l know the feeling of having all mites on my body dead. l can tell you that there is no post scabies itch when they are all dead. l finally found out that the itch after the permethrin cream prescribed by the docs is attributed to an allergy to the eggs left in your skin after the mites are dead. However, the eggs are not dead, that is why they itch. my mom told me they used kerosene in old times for scabies. l was so desperate l went and bought lamp oil and tried it. l sprayed my whole body down carefully. In less than two minutes, every itch stopped completely. In the thicker skin on your palms and soles of your feet, you may have to spray again in a couple minutes as the oil suffocates your pores for a bit and they start emerging from deep in your skin to try to breathe. l switched to the cheaper charcoal starter fluid last year, and add a little pine scented fragrance oil. l used kerosene successfully once or twice a day for over 2 years. l have a son living with me who refuses treatment and keeps spreading them. My mother who tried everything and researched diligently finally mixed some citric acid 2 parts water with one part citric acid, poured it on, and it also kills 100% in 2-3 minutes. Not as fast as kerosene, but definitely not as smelly, or drying. You can buy it at most feed stores cheaply. In fact, a pitcher of citric acid mixed this way, 4 cups water with 2 cups CA and used to treat yourself in a bathtub with about 4 inches of water in it is a great way to treat your whole body. You can soak in it afterward, and the dead skin will scratch off like magic and the infected "hills" will have the whole infected tops come off easily with scrubbing, and you emerge with healthy skin. Just treat your scalp well. shampoo and condition hair as usual in the tub using the citric acid water. Do not get it in your eyes as it burns. Keep a towel handy. Rinse with one cup of clean water. You must keep your mattress and pillows encased in sealed plastic. l have sprayed kerosene directly on my leather couches and chairs. l use a tea tree alcohol mix to spray my ceilings and other fabrics, and cars. l was so crazy with itches l was ready to kill myself. Luckily, mom came thru just in time.

I put this in the links forum also, hope it helps some one else.
Have good news for those with the tough scabies and crusted. This is no joke either.
My husband and have been battling crusted scabies for 6 months and have tried everything and nothing worked till I discovered someone talking about manuka oil, I did research and found that the oil needs to be from New Zealand or it will not work. Plus you need two other things. I found two websites that sell these treatment kits and believe me the fist one definitely works. We have using this stuff for one week and feel human again and the scabies are dying. The first link is the one we ordered and are using, it kills the eggs, adults and all.Have not been bite or felt anything moving since using this stuff. The stuff goes along way too.

1) http://www.manukanatural.com/scabies-treatmen ...

The second link we ordered from also as a backup, it is cheaper too but don't know if you'll get results like the first one.

Good luck to all of you !

This is an interesting thread. "Progress" makes good points. But if you have no symptoms during the day and symptoms at night, you are probably not in post scabies, you still have scabies.

There are very few posts about Malathione ("Ovide") which I hear is a liquid so easy to put on entire scalp and body. Anyone tried it?

Also Mebendazole has been prescribed to my parents Permethrin resistant scabies (which they caught from me). 100mg twice a day for three days repeat in one week. Apparently this is a fairly new treatment option formerly used only for parasitic worm infections.

Thank you bitchenmaui for giving me hope with your results with the manuka oil treatment. I've placed an order and am waiting for it now.
There are four of us, I'm wondering how best to use it for all of us.
Did you put drops of manuka oil in your bath or just apply directly to skin?
I would've ordered more than one, except that in our crazy attempts to get rid of scabies we are broke!
We try one new "thing" per month, trying to find the right one.
Thanks again, I'm happy to hear that it worked for you guys.
