so i went to my family doctor today to get a persciption for ivermectin, she was not the one who had diagnosed me with scabies, but a doctor from a walk in clinic. So i say to my doctor that i need ivermectin for scabies, she looked at the marks on my arms and says i dont think that you have scabies, she prescbibes some anti fungal cream and says if the problem persists i will refer you to a dermatologist. FUCK THAT!, ive been dealing with this for months and i know what i have so iim not going to take her advise, i even asked her about ivermectin and i dont think she knew what it was. So im going to go see my dermatologist tommorow to get that ivermectin,

i ordered msm powder. i don't think my msm contains glucosamine, though. i was applying the msm powder, straight, on my wet skin in the shower.

now i am doing something new. mix epsom salt with hot water, completely dissolve the epsom salt in the hot water, and apply from scalp to toe. blow dry it on the skin and head. azs

you can drown the mites by taking a bath. but the mites will surface and get on your neck and scalp that way.

not sure about your cling wrap idea. that's a new one and I don't think it is a good idea. your skin needs to breath, i would think.

I cannot beat this crazy mite lady. I have tried to no avail. I can only keep it at bay. that is the best I can do. I have tried everything. Are you still free of mites? I hope so.

I had to giggle at you. Your body has a way of telling you what is working and what is not working.

this is excellent. maybe explains why the itching remains even after many treatments. i think a lot of people are cured, but they're dealing with the after effects. Anyone have a soothing reaction with sulfur treatment? It made my skin feel excellent for the first few days.
As for the fungal reference in the article, the derm gave me antifungal for the nodules on the baby's back and they are gone. GONE. I may try it on myself tonight since it worked on her. someone had told me to put yogurt on our skin afer these treatments and I laughed, but apparently the pH might rectify itself if we did that. Weird. Interesting. Hope the anti-fungal works...

Read this web site. I remember a lady talking about taking Psorinum and it helped with her scabies.

I have been battling these things for 8 months. I ordered Ivermectin on line and have seen great progress. My question, I only feel the crawling around my eyes, mouth and even inside my mouth. i have blisters on the back of my throat. How do I get them out of my mouth. i am desperate. My Physician thinks I am a nut case.

Thats great that you have ivermectin. Using ivermectin will help with the hard to reach places you are talking about.
I put vicks vapor rub around my nose and mouth which stopped them from entering in those areas (which would sometimes happen at night)
also I think others has mentioned a product called betodien (sorry I butchered the spelling) for around the eye area.

Sorry about your doctor - thats not a new story here - stay strong

IN your mouth? Is that possible? that might be something different. Mites need to breathe, and they can't do that in mucous membrane tissue (inside mouth, vagina, etc)
Unusual.

I've been told that when the mites go to your mouth and throat, that they are bird mites. use hydrogen peroxide to get them out of your face, but don't get close to your eyes. use alot of HP so that it gets deep into your pores. other things you can do is use epsom salts rinses on your scalp and face. use sulfur and vaseline mixture on your face. use ivermectin internally, along with permethrin topically. sometimes i spray alcohol mixed with a small amount of benzyl benzoate, into my scalp and on my temples and cheeks. you can make a mixture of msm powder and lotion and apply to face. you can put permethrin up your nose. these are just things off the top of my head. ivermectin should help get theem ouf of your mouth and throat. gargle with hydrogen peroxide and listerine. another poster uses provodone iodine, betadine, around his eyes, no peeking, and rinse within 4 minutes.

Not necessarily bird mites. I had a bad scabies infestation way up one nostril. These evil creatures will go anywhere to escape the meds. They are so tiny they don't need a lot of air to breathe.

You can keep wiping your eye area with a wet kleenex when you feel them crawling there, use eyedrops to wash them from eyeballs.

I don't know about the back of your throat. I've gargled with listerine original, don't rinse, to keep them from going in my mouth. I have felt them bite my tongue a few times. Maybe try salt water gargles? Scabies3 had some good ideas above.

Sam. It just that bird mites are on my mind now that i am joined up with birdmitesorg yahoo group. one gentleman on that group went to some specialists and they found eggs and larvae in his throat from bird mites, etc. I've never had them bite the inside of my mouth, i don't think. not sure if any of them infested my throat, either, but you never know. I remember you telling someone that you can wipe them with a kleenex and then scope them for identification, so last night, after the lights went out, that is what I was doing. by the time the night was over, there were at least 40 kleenexes all over the floor. i found lots of black specs and a few black fibers. every time i felt a crawlie, bamp, scope, black dots. my scope looks like it's been through world war II.
