There is FRED, LotusFan, Elisabeth, SoS, Ryan and others that are very intelligent people, but sometimes have their agenda, whatever it is. Why can't they set up something to help others heal - for real.

Take Ghon, he's way out there, except when a child is involved. Then he provides something sensible.

We have Bill and Hope who touch you when you're going too far off the deep end.

Sometimes it can seem that many are a collective body and, besides your illness, encompass you in a surreal universe. An escape pod would be handy. In the words of Bill, God bless

The knowledge that truthbetold has is regressive and dated he is a self appointed guru with a very limited understanding of the real problem, a simpleton who just likes to pump up his own ego at the newbies expense.

Okay, I'm really confused at this point. At the beginning of September, I woke up with 7 small, red hardened, ITCHY 'bites on my upper arm. I freaked out thinking it was bed bugs. I had my house fumigated twice just in case, but continued to get the 'bites' every few days - usually only on one arm. The bumps remained itchy for weeks, basically until they disappeared. They reappeared in the same spots (or close by) after every week or so. No tunneling that I can see, which is unusual for scabies. After going to a walk-in clinic (totally useless), I was given a strong topical steroid which did nothing. Finally I got in to see my Dr who said it was scabies. I have done 4 Permethrin treatments (1 week apart)and three weeks of Ivermectin (200ug/kg)and am still getting the occasional bump. I'm getting smaller ones on my stomach, leg, sides and back that don't swell or harden like the other ones and scab over quickly. That creepy-crawly feeling is absolute torture (all over and non-stop but much more intense in late afternoon and at night). I am relentlessly cleaning my house, mattress is sealed, sheets changed every night, not wearing anything twice and washing everything in hot water/borax before going in the drier on high for 2 cycles. I recently got in to see a dermatologist who said it was never scabies but overactive nerves - except the nerve meds she gave me did NOTHING. My last Ivermectin treatment wears off in a few days and I'm at the end of my rope. I've tried borax/peroxide baths and a bunch of the other 'home' remedies on this site and all they did was damage my skin (red, burning, extremely dry patches). I am convinced this is scabies based on everything I've heard but if I'm this careful about preventing re-infection and I've taken all of the meds for such a long time, I just have no clue what is going on. The creepy-crawly feeling is getting worse and worse, not better as most people have described post-scabies. Any thoughts?

Are you better mite crawling sleepless? Still feeling the crawling?

Thank you Hopeful. I agree in Gods goodness and I am praying for all of us. My sister's a nurse and I got it from her. She applied `10% Sulfur in vaseline head to toe for 24/7 days and it was gone. I tried all the meds and potions, bleach bath - it all because I can't have vaseline hair during the day at work. I'm now trying the Sulfur. I will say I haven't had any new bites after 2 days and they are starting to pale. I can still feel them at night though.
Some people don't feel these things running and some do. Its feeling them moving around at night and even during the day that drives us crazy.

I have from time to time been dealing with something that seams to be getting super intense and aggravating. At night when I lay in bed I feel crawling sensations and pin pricks and itch so intensly as my husband feels this also. I thought it was bed bugs so I looked it up and can't find any bugs at all yet feel them crawling all over me. Well while looking online I found that this may be scabies and the treatment and diagnosis look horrifying and I am at this point helpless and hopeless and feel as if this continues I will soon be placed in an asylum due to driving myself crazy! Does this sound like scabies and please what are ways to rid myself at home ??? Please help help help
Sincerely,

just me,

Try vacuuming your bed, sheets and blanket before going to sleep and if you have bed skirts get rid of them. Also put a plastic covers over your mattress and box spring. You can get good ones at your local U-Haul. Get some Permethrin 5% from your doctor to treat scabies. Wash your clothes with detergent and ammonia in hot matter and dry in hot heat for 40 minutes.

Also make sure after vacuuming you throw the vacuum bag into a plastic bag and throw it away, otherwise the bugs will just crawl out. Make sure you use disposable latex gloves and keep the bag away from your face.

its nice to hear your story and its greatly appreciated. i dont want to write on here excited talking like im all cleared, because i still have no idea if im cured. heres my story..
my fiancÚ and i live together now 2 years. well he works in the next state over (2 hour drive) he stays there half the week and back at our home the other half. well about 2 months ago now he's been so itchy, first thing a woman says to a man is babe it's probably dry skin, hey it happens in the winter. That was my reply to him. A couple weeks go by and he's still going at it, finally he makes an appointment to see his doctor. We meet w the doctor and of course this doctor has no idea it's actually scabies, he tells us to go home and try changing our laundry detergent, that my fiancÚ is probably allergic to whatever we were using. Itching continues of course and we go back to see his doctor again. He tells my fiancÚ to get blood work cause now he wants to check his blood. we do so of course. 2 weeks later, we go see see his doctor again, says his blood looks great and doesn't know what the problem can be. I do some research make an appointment for an allergy doctor, and we go see this man. Now I newly started inching myself, but the difference between my itching and my fiance was that I was getting what looked like mosquito bites all over me, as where my fiancÚ hardly had any marks or rashes on him. Yet. I thought i had bed bugs, I was depressed, scared and confused about what was happening to the both of us. Anyways i never heard of scabies at this time so I never thought of it. So this allergy doctor takes a look at my fiancÚ, and says he thinks its scabies but he isn't 100 percent sure yet.( at this time like I said earlier my fiancÚ want showing many rashes or burrows ) the doctor looks at me and says " your not itching?" I jumped up and told him how I recently started. He said that scabies was extremely contagious and that he's pretty sure that's what my fiancÚ had and gave to me. Okay so we were given meds. 4 pills of ivermectin for me and 5 for him. Told to take it as soon as we got it, which we immediately did !! Shit, i would have taken 100 pills to get rid of a bugs living inside me. he also gave us one bottle of cream each to apply that night after a shower. okay so we did that now 4 days ago. i am itching less, but right after applying the cream i broke out into a few more rashes, I cried all night reading other peoples Terrible stories. 4 days later like i Said im still itchy but not like before. as far as my rashes they are still there. im trying to be positive, and after reading your positive story, im trying to believe that this Will one day pass. and i also wanted to try and be positive for other people going through this. its the Worst thing ive had to deal With in my life, and ive had a pretty messed up life. I read how people were only Treating w the cream. i totally recommend getting the ivermectin as well. Also we cleaned and did laundry like 2 crazy people. Another trick ill recommend is when doing your laundry, drop some cream into your detergent.
But wait I have a question.. If I don't get better i want to soak in the tub with the neem oil extract. You said you bought it at Home Depot correct ? Is it in a purple container ? Please tell me what it looks like and what it says on the packaging. Thanks a lot, and to everyone else reading stay
Positive.

Can you all make up your minds. These things are so tiny how in the world would they cause a crawling sensation? I think that what we're all dealing with is hypersentivity from the perm cream.

Sometimes I feel like I am cured, but the crawling feeling drives me nuts! I feel it more on my scalp and face. I check my scalp and face and no bite marks. I feel pin pricking on my legs every once in a while on my legs. Though when I look over them, no pimples, no bite marks nothing. I'm so over this. It's taken over my life like many of you.

I totally feel everyone's pain. Never in my life had I experienced such n exhausting ordeal both mentally n physically with this issue. I bought pure tea tree oil n all natural lavender body wash. I put drops of tea tree oil in the body wash n scrub from head to toe in the shower n let it sit for a couple of minutes. I also use n exfoliant before the process so I can take any dead skin off so the oil is absorbed better. When I get out if shower I blot off with towel n use Sarna lotion. I feel it's helping alot. I tried rid lice shampoo also but I think I broke out in rashes from the chemicals. I think natural is best. Hey scabies been around for thousands of years! They didn't have meds like they do now. Everything was treated naturally. If I feel n itch I use a piece of gauze n pour hydrogen peroxide on it n rub on bite. It cleans n dries them out. If u feel itching at night I just rub some Sarna lotion on the area n it really relieves it. I shower in the morning n then at night. Sprayed my couches with lice spray n the mattresses too. I think keeping clean n sanitary helps a lot. I'm hoping my patience pays off. By the way I contracted this from my ten year old son. And who knows how the heck he got it! He used cream from the derm. We will see how that works. Sorry so long! Hope my suggestions will help someone thru this exhausting journey. Keep ur head up n best if luck!

Hi Sadness, the crawling feeling is pretty much gone I only feel it every once in a while...not sure if its the prem...I itch but I have execema, it's diff then the scabie itch. It itches for a little and stops. It's not all day and it's not at night. As far as bite marks, I had a tiny straight line on Monday, looked like a track, but it went away with away already. I did my last prem treatment 14 days tomorrow...I also did my 2nd iver last Saturday....I am going to do another this Saturday again. I'm not sure if I am cured, going through post scabies what's the deal I'm still cleaning, changing sheets, spraying the car and I sit on a hard chair at work(easier to keep clean) the whole guessing game am I cured or not, is a B!! Last night was my first night not using sulfur soap or using TTO. I slept fine and I was fine all day. How long have you had scabies? It's very depressing I cry everyday...I went through a period were I ha to force myself to eat because I was soo sick to my stomach. I have a derm appt and going to show her what I think is excemea and ask her about about the random lines. I pray this is it I have done 5 prems and I put it on every sq inch of my body. I keep everything super clean. I steam everything! I pray your done with nasty devil!

what freaks me out if that you had a line on monday, we know they bite in those zig zag lines, but dont freak out see what your doctor says to you. and let me know what happens. i do suggust you keeo treating. if only one is alive then in a week a family will be living with that one. thats why its so hard to kill this disease. the eggs hatch and then boom their back. im terrified, i hate life now. its all i think about. i cry everyday. i pray my new doctor that i am going to see tomorrow will have another idea.. but then again reading all about this. i feel, ive tried everything. even resorted to this dangerous bath we took.=[ as i said before.. i took the advice from someone here. what he said he did was soak in a hot bath and 5 cap fulls of neem oil repellent.(for outdoor use only) the smell is strong, and its not recommended to do cause the label clearly says dont put on your skin. i did it cause i cant take this anymore. like i said my fiance gave this to me. he had it longer than i did, He wasnt happy i soaked in the chemicals but whats done is done. i KNOW it worked for me. no break outs, light itch. and tonight when he came home i made a bath for him, and put the same amount of repellent in his bath. he soaked for 20 minutes in there.(i asked him to please take the bath cause he had what looked like new activity on his arms) hes out the bath now, we're actually both in the living room with neem oil on now,(we stink) but we will sleep with it and wash it off in the morning w neem soap. i am not doing the repellent bath again, cause ive done it already. we have a dermatology appt tomorrow morning, but after trying permethrin and ivermectin last month, im not sure what the doctor will say tomorrow. what else can they do??

I prayed for you too. If I may make a suggestion. It would be to not say or sound like you know too much and don't tell him you have used poisons on yourself or you may scare him because he doesn't want any liability case. If you have placed that you haven't scratched off then he may be able to do a scraping. And then you may have a doctor who can help. Many docs I've been through.
My natural doc did see a mite but he doesn't believe on poisons and he says we all have mites but some of us are super sensitive. They just don't know enough. But you may luck out. Folks have been cured and they leave the forum and live again . I pray you will too. Remember that this is scary stuff and keep your cool. God Bless

People! The first step is to calm down and really analyze whether you are treating the problem or the paranoia. I too, have broken down in the middle of this crazy situation, but realize that this too shall pass. I stated a weird rash in the armpit and thought was hives and actually it was a reaction to the scabies. When I finally told the doctor I knew what it was according to my symptoms and places it had spread.( belly wrist butt and back shoulder blades especially) they gave me permethrin. I have four kids and husband that had to be treated as well. Whole house cleaning and laundry took days. Bagged everything and used de and alcohol sprayed on everything .washed everything in hot water and vinegar. Btw I should say that before the perm I was using Epsom salt scrub with coconut oil and tea tree oil and lavender. Scrubbing two or three showers day. It definitely saved my skin especially from perm. I still use it to help the post scabies quicken. I know that after one treatment it seems like you still have it but I can assure you if you treated yourself and your environment and take most precautions you're ok! I have no night time scratching but during day I have some spots that come and go and prickly feelings as well. But they go away and scabies does not go away. I'm even considering not doing the second treatment at least on my kids ( they have full body rashes from the perm) they had no signs of scabies before ! So the itchiness is mostly due to perm and possible fecal matter or stuff scabies left behind. So calm down and read the stories of people who are hurting/ damaging themselves over this with over overtreatments and bleach and Home Depot treatments. And dont overtreat!!! Scary!wait and mousturize your skin. use safer things like vinegar and alchohol swabs. Hope this helps someone not hurt themselves.
