with treating these things you must think logically about doing it, because you can re-infect everything pretty easy.

Once you have treated yourself, realized that you will still have them in, on, and around you. Do not get discouraged, as you will methodically kill them.

First, GENEROUSLY Spray your car (EVERY COMPONENT)with the Ultrashield Sprayer, and sprinkle the livestock dust on the floors. Spray and sprinkle the trunk too.

added.... Spray the car with the Espom Salt mix too.(At first, I did this after the initial treatment with Ultrashield and livestock dust but I found that the Espom salt was a very good daily spray. It is very good to use once in the car with the fan/ac/heat on because the mites will "kick up" after initial treatment because I think they are in the vents and vent system.)

Now, roll up the windows and go to the house to treat it.

Next give yourself 2 hours to get out of the house(and open the windows)after this treatment. Sprinkle EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING with the dust except the kitchen and bathroom. Sprinkle the carpet and furniture (generously). Sprinkle the tables, open drawers, dvd, computer, dvr, tv, ornaments, knick-knacks -Everything.

Spray your bed with the Rid Bedding Spray (because of the fine mist).---added--- use the epsom salt mix too!

Next, get the trash bags and all of you clothes that you have worn. Spray all of your worn clothes generously with the Ultrashield EX spray (this will be strong fumes, but not nauseous) and Epsom salt mix, top it off with a bit of the Gordon's livestock dust then put those clothes in the bags, and close the bags up (tie them if you can). Put them in a corner you don't walk near.

pick out clothes to wear for the next three days, but do not pick them up or put them on till use. Look to spray the clothes that you have not worn after you start to feel as if the bugs are not eating you up, then you treat the unworn clothes.

Then, Spray EVERYTHING (EVERYTHING) except important papers with the Ultrasheild EX. Go lite on tables and furniture (in between cushions), but go heavy with the the furniture (and don't spray the bed) the fumes with be to much to sleep that night if you do.(that is what the RID spray is for).

Spray the RID bedding spray in your wife/kid purses and your wallet.(don't forget everything could be infected by the mites and or their feces.

Spray the Kitchen and Bathroom with UltraSheild EX.

Now, Leave the house with windows open for a of couple hours, relax as much as you can. Come back home. Sleep.

Let the carpet, furniture, clothes ,and everything sit with the treatment for TWO DAYS.- not less.

Into day two/three keep up with the 20 mineral oil soak, wash then listerine showers (DO NOT soak in the tub till the crawling itch is gone. BTW>>> I forgot to mention in the first part.. when you do the first and each subsequent mineral oil treatment before showers, rub your body gently the find and remove any foreign particles. You should find white nit things and/or black specks.

As the days and treatment goes along, use a new towel and washcloth ( I may have mentioned this already.)

Rounding the corner, now after the house and clothes had sit, and you feel as if the mites and gone, put out the clothes that were not worn (if they were exposed to being near you of the family and spray them with the ULTRA for cleaning prep (let sit on the clothes, and in a bag for about 6-

Now, start your clean up... Vacuum up the carpet and furniture. Wait to wipe the stuff down now, you can do this the final day after fogger bombing the house. Put/keep the the vacuum outside after use and spray it generously with the Ultra afterward.(avoid dust getting back into house.)

Finally, put on clean clothes, load all the clothes into car. Spray you bed with the Ultra before going to wash clothes at the laudromat. BTW>>>If I did'nt mention, spray you bed with the linens OFF.

AS YOU LEAVE THE HOUSE, SET-OFF ONE ZODIAC FOGGER PER EVERY TWO ROOMS IN YOUR HOUSE (varies based on house size)

Go wash your worn and exposed clothes at the Laudromat on hot water.

I used Arm and Hammer liquid. The stuff worked very, very well.

(I would wash everything you can. Anything that was touched by you, your family, or pets is NOT an option in must be washed). Warm washables put on hot, dark --- you may wash on cold but blast them in the dryer.) Wash all you linens and travel bags that you used to transport the clothes.

After you unload everything at the laudromat, spray the car in the cab and the trunk to kill any tough mites.

Finally, As you repack the clean clothes, Do not re-use trash bags that you pack the clothes in, use new bags to reload. asdasd

Daily Maintenance. The perm product are pricey and is an bit dangerous insecticide. Use the 1/3 cup to 2 cups Epsom salt mix as a daily spray. Spray your Whole house like you did with the Ultrasheild EX and livestock dusk. I am adding this bit late as I discovered this solution late. I attempted to paste the epsom salt stuff in later, as it was not a part of my original post in another thread.

I must repeat... the Epsom Salt solution is a SERIOUS mite killer people. NO JOKE!!!

Spray your worn clothes and your body with the Espom Salt mix daily. You can soak in the tub now (after the initial treatment and clean up of body and your house)but only Epsom Salt baths. I strongly suggest soaking in the tub with the Espom Salt. Use 2 1/2 - 3 cup of Epsom Salt for every soak. Your body will love you for this!

Congrats!! You will feel like a champ, and I think the espom salt soak cures the post scabies itch too. I had no lingering itch/symptoms afterward.

This post is from Armed and Fabulous from the Thread called "Arm and Hammer." I hope it helps someone.

There's a slightly better version of this that I posted in one of the threads...but this is a list of products that worked best for me, and how I used them:

1. Arm & Hammer powdered laundry detergent. In bath with hydrogen peroxide
and a couple drops of esssential oil. And for laundry with liquid all-fabric bleach (the hydrogen peroxide based kind). I also used this sprinkled generously all over carpets, let sit a day, then vacuum. This was the first thing that showed dramatic results in clearing my environment.

2. Hydrogen peroxide 3% from drugstore. This has multiple uses. Used as above, and also used in a spray bottle with lavender, peppermint or oil of oregano essential oil to wipe down plastic mattress & pillow covers. The same formula can be used in a fine mister spray bottle in the car, for whenever you feel a crawlie and to wipe down your steering wheel and dashboard (especiallly if you have mystery white specks there). If you live in a warm climate you can add a tiny bit of coconut or jojoba oil to that mix to make it less drying to the skin. I also used this straight to spot treat my skin, soak the spot with it for 30 seconds, wipe the spot with a kleenex, and repeat 3 times. The spots would usually bubble up white indicating either mite activity or infection..this would help clear it up for me.

3. Sulphur 8 medicated anti-dandruff hair and scalp conditioner. This stuff is thick like vaseline, and has some sulphur in it, but not so much that your skin is peeling off. It is inexpensive too and found in many drugstores. It worked great for me to rid them from my feet. Before bed I put a generous amount of this on my feet, then put on cotton footies. I didn't realize for a long time that I had so many hiding in my feet. Or you can mix #6 below with lotion for this.

4. Grisi Sulphur soap (found in hispanic section of many drugstores, or on-line). Use like regular soap in shower and bath.

5. 100% tea tree oil. Add a little to shampoo and conditioner. Add a little to jojoba and grapeseed oil and use as body oil, letting it sink in before applying sulphur ointment below:

6. De la Cruz, Pomada de Azufre sulphur ointment. Also found in hispanic section or on-line. It is a small jar, but spreads far. Use everywhere except most delicate skin areas. Also can be mixed with your favorite lotion/sunscreen if it is too strong for you

#557 Jul 31, 2010
(continued from previous post from Armed and Fabulous from the thread called "arm and hammer."

7. Betadine povodine/iodine cleanser. If eyelids become a problem or for spot treating delicate areas, this works quickly. Wet area with water, blot lightly, apply cleanser carefully, let sit for a minute, then dab off with a wet washcloth or kleenex. Be careful not to get this in your eye.

8. Dessert Essence Tea Tree Facial Cleanser. This stuff lasts and lasts, and really works to keep them off of your face, chest and neck.

9. Cedarcide, "Best Yet". This is a bit of a splurge too, but works better than anything for certain environmental things!!! It lasts longer if you use the personal mister they provide rather than the trigger sprayer. I just order a quart at a time, not their full environmental thing. Spray inside shoes. For keyboard & cellphone, spray on kleenex to wipe them down (I use their personal mister and spray lightly directly on my laptop keyboard, while covering air vents, but do that at your own risk). Keep a personal mister of it in the car and give it a spray before entering and to have on hand for emergencies. I have sprayed it on clothing also and haven't had any lasting spots or damage from it. If you call them to order see if they will throw in a few extra personal misters for free -they are good to use for other things, like #2 above.

10. Pine-Sol or Hexol. Perhaps this is the poor man's cedarcide. These two products are made with pine-oil and cedarcide is made with cedaroil. Great to have a sprayer bottle of this on hand, mixed with water. Works to clean hardwood floors, all surfaces, and mattress covers. I also had good results using this in an extraction type Bissell rug shampooer after doing an arm & hammer dry detergent floor treatment & vacuuming (or you could use a rug doctor). Pine-sol is a staple in a lot of Hawaiian homes for it's effectiveness as a disinfectant with fungus, mold and bugs.

11. Arm & Hammer Shower Cleaner Spray (the formula with bleach). Really effective in clearing the shower or tub areas of mites, mold etc. Be careful what you are wearing when you use this, as it is fairly strong bleach!

12. Denorex 2 in 1 medicated shampoo & Selsun Blue medicated shampoo with selenium sulfide. These are good to start with, in rotation, when the mites are really bad. The Jason special anti-dandruff shampoo mentioned recently looks like a good alternative to these two..has great ingredients, but I haven't tried it.
Other good ones..Theraneem Treatment shampoo, and Dessert Essence Therapeutic Treatment Shampoo.

last thing if you can afford it is DeMite laundry additive with Benzyl Benzoate (available thru amazon)
You may not need this if you can do a really hot wash and dry for a long period of time, but this helps especially if you only have access to a high efficiency washing machine.

Yes, they do get cured first time around. Alot of it depends on age and immunity, and the type of mite you have.

Although this method is somewhat unconventional, it worked for this poster. Again, there are different mites out there and everyone is different in their age and immmunity.

This is from Healthy Cyber Guy

Does anyone have more prickling and less itching?

All you need to do is vacuum yourself with the brush end of your vacuum whenever you feel prickling and crawling sensations. The prickling and crawling sensations will stop very quickly. If they have already started biting you, after you vacuum them off apply a good quality cold processed vegetable oil like olive oil or grapeseed oil to soothe your skin.(Saturday Jul 3 | post #2)

http://www.topix.com/forum/health/scabies/TK3 ...

Does Permethrin even work?!

It's not necessary to throw out anything! All you have to do is make sure your mattress and pillows have mite protective covers, and that you have mite protective sheets. Don't sit or lie down anywhere else in the house until you are over them.

Also vacuum those little critters off your body with the brush end of the vacuum whenever you itch. You will be amazed how effective vacuuming yourself works.

You can apply permethrin or sulfur mixed in Vaseline on any spots that arise if needed. It's not necessary to apply it all over your body.

It's that simple to get rid of them.(Saturday Jul 3 | post #153)

I am adding more helpful info here.

I resorted to ripping out all carpeting, and tossed all my clothing. Hot water wash just does not kill them all and you will keep re-infesting yourself. Here was my treatment regime.

Day 1: Permethrin Cream 5% head to toe, scalp face, between toes, bottoms of feet, genital area. Leave on for 14 hours. Shower with 10% sulphur soap. Spot treat itchy bumps with Hand sanitizer 62% ethyl alcohol. Burns like heck, but make sure it is the gel kind, any brand, just make sure it is 62% ethyl alcohol. Rub into the bump hard, then wipe hard with white tissue, you will see the black debris on the tissue and bump will go away. Do your deep heavy house cleaning while the cream is on the body so you don't re-infect yourself.

Day 2-4: Shower each day with 10% sulphur soap also using the bar to wash the scalp and hair, it works well, if still itchy, soak in a tub of warm water with a full cup of Arm and Hammer Washing Soda. It works wonders to relieve the itching. Keep cleaning the house, wash all hard surfaces down with diluted bleach water.

Day 5: You are probably itching like crazy again, this is due to the eggs under the skin hatching out. Time for repeat of day 1 with Permethrin Cream 5%.

Day 6-9 continue as with day 2 -4.

Day 10: final treatment with Permethrin Cream 5% to get any late hatchers.

You will continue into post scabies for at least 30 days. It will act just like scabies, with itching red bumps. Keep spot treating with the hand sanitizer. This used to be called the seven year itch, because, the post scabies can flare up every now and then for the next 7 years. Sucks to be us. If you have cleaned your home top to bottom on Day 1 while the cream was on, and you continued to scrub constantly through day 10, you will erradicate this mite, and you will just have to deal with the post scabies. Remember the soaks with the Arm and Hammer washing soda. It will help with the post scabie itch as well.

From Armed and Fabulous
For those who may have bird mites, or some other type of mite than scabies mites.

Hi Jay,
I think mine are bird mites too. Here are a couple things that work for me. You might try if you haven't already:

-bring a small bottle of original listerine (not the new flavors) everywhere with you and gargle with it often...that fixes the ones in your mouth. Also can be used on your scalp if you get itchy there. The smell goes away pretty quickly.

-another small bottle with jojoba or almond oil and a teaspoon of tea tree oil in it..add some oil of oregano or rosemary oil if you don't like the smell of the TTO. This can be used with a q - tip, or just dripped into your ear, then wiped out. Also can be used on your face but be very carefull near your eyes (more oil/less TTO might be needed there)

-for your nose, using a saline squeeze nose spray like 'Ocean' really helps

-'Desert Essence' makes a face wash called 'Thoroughly Clean Face Wash' That works well too. It has tea tree oil in it. I just pumped a tiny amount of that into each ear at night when this first started and they never went for my ears. Be careful to not get this in your eyes though...it really stings.

-'Symilasin' makes a homeopathic eye drop with sulphur that has worked well for me when I feel that they have gotten in my eyes. It's their formula for styes.

-Another thing I've done, which sounds strange, but has worked for me is to make a lotion mixture:

1/4 of rose pesticide spray that has PYRETHRIN and PIPERONYL BUTOXIDE as its active ingredient (the brand I bought is called 'Garden Safe' Rose & Flower Insect Killer

3/4 of lotion. I used 'Eidon' Silica & MSM Moisturizing Lotion

You can use this mixture all over your body but it's also gentle enough for your face...Use for spot treatment as much as you want, but for all over body treatment, I'd use if no more than every 3 days.

Arm & Hammer is great stuff too...and sulphur soap in the showers.

I couldn't get a real diagnosis either...after several doctors.

good luck!

Larry suffered for many years from Morgellons, the biting, itching, etc. I know this post sounds very bizarre, but his years of torture were real and not mental.

I hope you are doing well. I hope this post satisfies some of your questions. I started out on flaygl approximately 5-6 months ago. I used Flagyl first. Then I switched to Albendazole and later Vermox.

For me I found Flaygl did the heavy lifting. I knew I had a colon or stomach obstruction of some type and had talked with other Morgies who seemed to be having the same issue. I had been on MMS for about 6-8 months and I felt great for a while. Then almost rather quickly I lost all energy to the point I could barely even get out of bed. During this time I also had two staph infections, of which I learned later were caused by microfilarials blocking the lymph glands located just under my ears. Common with malaria and other micofiliaril parasitic diseases. To my dismay, I found the MMS did nothing.

After starting on Flagyl the ninth day, the blockage of which was about the size of a grapefruit came out. It had a stem as though it had been attached something such as the lining of my stomach or transverse colon. As it came out in large pieces I could tell it seemed to be roundish but flexible. It was approximately 3/4 of an inch thick. It appeared to be a flexible but yet resistant.
I could only guess that it was `Biofilm". Inside this thick bio-shell hundreds of stems where some very large and smaller critters,. Perhaps some of the most bizarre I have seen yet. I counted approximately 25 different types of critters in various stages of their life cycle and like many parasites. They appeared to have an extremely complex life cycle. In fact to refer you to Marc Newman website "Morgellons Research Organization. On his opening page some were the critters across the top row. Plus many more. Some rather disturbing looking, with eyes and what appeared to be ears. One larger rather snake like creatures even appeared to have a "brain".The larger ones. One in particular seemed to have even shed its skin.

Enough of that for now. At some point I may post some of these photos. Anyway I said all that to tell you that the flaygl did in nine days what the MMS didn't do in 8-9 months. Now perhaps it couldn't penetrate the thick "biofilm". "But it should have That is, If it had worked.

I continued to stay on the Flagyl for some time longer as the unbelievable amount of creatures continued to come out. I call these creatures as the word critter does not give respect as to the presence of these creatures.(Right Ace)(Remember when you described how that superclonic dislodged your creatures.) Just to let you know I been their too.

Later after starting Albendazole another blockage was freed. This time totally differing creatures.

All I can say is Robert I am glad to you follow this protocol. If I had been persuaded to follow this path earlier, I could have saved myself 3-4 years of agony not to mention lots of money.

I also have to tell you Flagyl has several unpleasant side effects, such as balance issues, staggering if not fosed and it tastes almost as bad as MMS. Try and bypass your tongue or that metallic taste will stay in your mouth all day, and the smallest sip of alcohol or even a beer will make you sick to your stomach. Now there are other combinations of anti-fungals, parasitics and antibiotics one can take. Do your homework before you start an antibiotic.. Most Morgies have extremely high Mycoplasma levels. There are only three basic ones that reduce mycoplasma levels. Doxy., Tetracycline and Clindamycin. Usually ones that work for Malaria work for Morgellons. Also find one that penetrates cartilage and bone, and be prepared for a substantial dose for a long time.

Back to Flagyl (Metronidazol) its chemical name. Kicks Ass.

The reason I posted the above story, is to show people out there, that there are other anti-parasitic medications available, other than ivermectin and the topicals prescribed by the doctors. I know that Flagyl was prescribed to one poster here, in addition to ivermectin, and he was cured, after several very difficult months of a very heavy infestation.

MISC NOTES Part 2
==========
Expensive POISONS such as Benzamul, Permethrin, Lindane or Ivermectin ? FORGET IT!
I quit taking the tub soaks, could not see worthwhile results, and IMO were also toxic, hash to skin.
I quit on stinkin things like Neem Oil, Cedarcide.
Dramatic results were seen within 1 month, keep it up for 2 more months to prevent reinfection. There you have it. Cured of Scabbies with minimal disruptions to my life many thanks to the Miracle of Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth.
Grapeseed Oil is also a miracle product. I apply it to my feet every morning. It has cured my cracked, scaling, fugly feet and even cleared up my fugly toenails!
Why does this non-toxic approach work?
It makes the critters crawl through a KILLER at every turn. They can't get to or from our bed without crawling through DE. They can't get to you under the sheets without crawling through DE. If, by some miracle they get to your skin, they are hit again with the film of DE left from the Grapeseed oil. They are hit once again by DE coming out of their nesting burrow, or from their molting pouch. I also suspect that Grapeseed Oil smothers them to death. That is for someone else to research. This might explain why my wife never got Scabies... she covers herself in grapeseed oil after her showers. Makes her dry skin silky smooth and removes many wrinkles.
Some of us are taking DE internally. We are detailing our results here - See this link for more:
http://www.topix.com/forum/health/scabies/TV6 ...
Do an internet search for the best prices on Grapeseed oil + food grade DE. We bought a 10 lb bag for ourselves & the neighbors. I buy Grapeseed oil by the dozen. We use it for cooking, salads, rubbing oil, and on my feet.
Best of luck to all,
My DE cure should work equally well for ALL forms of mites, bedbugs, and even bird lice. Get your lives back to normal and stop using the expensive poisons & harsh chemicals. Stop wasting your valuable time on needless washing, cleaning, trips to the expensive doctors.
