okay, I've been using clove bud oil mixed w 20% carrier oil "jojoba or sweet almond", and it works really well, I just don't use it as often as I know I should because it makes my skin burn, anyway, I got a rash and (how do you treat a rash), I found a almost empty tube of desitin and used it, 2 days later after bathing in some places where the cream was my scabies weren't, and they are gone but left like a concave area in my skin, which is weird and it's painful to have a whole where they use to be. Anyway, I don't know if it's because I slathered on a thick cream that stays in place and smothers them OR the zinc oxide (main ingredient) that killed them, AND having a white cream all over my body was weird and shocking to others AND it can wipe off on bedding and whatever. I ran out of desitin so I tried another brand with the same amount of zinc oxide and it worked the same. This is great to use on your face (when your going to be home for a few days) but using it when I'm going out is out of the question so I use the clove oil. Is this weird or what? I'm thinking of buying some zinc oxide off ebay or somewhere and mixing it with, something, to see if it's the zinc oxide or the thickness of the cream or just what it is about this stuff that kills them off. I would love your help with this maybe you guys have some ideas, maybe try it yourself and tell me what you think.... Thanks

That's pretty great progress!
I don't know an answer on why it may have worked, but am wondering if zinc oxide has some broad spectrum antibiotic effect..like people say colloidial silver has.
Did a quick google search and saw this:
http://www.badgerbalm.com/t-sunscreen_zinc_ox...
It talks about different types of zinc oxide, which might be helpful if you decide to make your own formulas.
Also I'm wondering if this sunscreen might be less white than the desitin, for possible day use. They have a bug repellent formula sunscreen with the zinc oxide and essential oils; lemongrass oil etc.

I've been grinding zinc tablets and adding to epsom salt based lotion for non-scabies worms, mites, whatever they are. I just dissolve some epsom in warm water. Also Crushed vitamin C, some Calamine lotion, glycerine, 20% urea cream, and other lotion to get the right consistency.
Spice/Coffee Mill is the easiest to grind in.

Tonight have added some onion salt to see if it has more effect. Not sure yet, will save this for my "at-home" lotion.

Armed and Fab, Thank-you, I'm trying. I luv the badger site, I think I will get the SPF stick, it has 22% zinc oxide in it, that's more than the other one's on the site and the others are white when applying so they say to rub it in, sweet! And I did see the bug repellent one too. I really love the fact that's it's all natural. I'm glad that desitin is used on a baby's bootie, otherwise I would have to check that out too, and God knows I've put in mege hours of research online to figure all this out so far. Sig, calamine lotion also has zinc oxide in it, but why grind the zinc oxide when you can easily get it in powder form. Take Care Everyone, I hope you get some relief from this info., and God Bless and Happy Holidays

Thanks bitten 1--didn't know I could get zinc in powder. Have tablets here, so that's what I'll use for now. I hope I don't have to buy more--but will look for the powder if I do. Yes, know there's zinc in Calamine along with a couple other things --I'm getting as much into that lotion as I can.

From my neck down, I don't have a lot left--but continue to treat knowing there will still be some lurking and ready to multiply. Less and less on my face, and scalp is "coming along".

I'll finish 5 days of a natural med to kill bad stuff in intestines, then start a new natural med to start building up the "good guys" in gut.
Doc was OK with my using horse ivermectin internally twice a day.

Hi I was misdiagnosed for weaks so had no treatment except hydrogen peroxide, alcohol, borax, lysol etc. I knew I had scabies and had to treat myself. I am very upset with the docs that couldn't rule out scabies but wouldn't give me anything. I ended up trying permithrin twice, and ivermectin once, the scabies population has dwindled but still hatching eggs because the treatments don't kill the eggs. (I ended up going to a dermatologist that specializes in scabies and advanced derm things) I am trying to control colonies with alcohol 97% and taking lots of supps to boost immune system. I feel a few burrowing right now. I sometimes pick them out where I can see the burrows, destroy the burrow and contents with alcohol straight on. This is incredibly hard to control. I can't take ivermectin again for another 10 days, doc made me promise, but I need MORE aggressive plan. I'm also cleaning like craaazy, everything from recommendations on here, and got vinyl mattress cover, pillow cover, sweep, clean. I have a feeling I may not be doing my hair well enough, with sulfur soap and windex. This is a mitemare. Thanks.

Hi Spacey, just to let you my opinion, if you have scabies longer than a year, it's called an infestion and they become really impossiable to get rid of, that's what has happened to me, but like FRED said in my other blog.....

well someone agrees with you

http://www.ehow.com/how_8531443_use-oxide-cur ...

and here is the proof that zinc oxide works, I used his suggestion and went to the bader website and got 2 of the sunscreens and a sunscreen lip balm and these have 18.75% zinc oxide and the face stick has 22% zinc oxide, and I recieved them last week and I have NO movement at all, and little holes in my skin and scalp where they use to be, I know for a fact that zinc oxide is the CURE, and it works within hours after applying, and I would love everyone who has scabies to try some brand of sunscreen "that has zinc oxide in it" (just make sure it is not nano size zinc oxide also) and get cured. Take Care and Merry Christmas everyone

FRED, yes you are right it wasn't you that gave me the badger site info. it is "armed and fabulous", I'm sorry about that, my mistake! So....you are the one who has been giving me all the negative feedback! You Suck Scrooge! AND that doesn't mean that this cure doesn't work!

FYI, I and lots of people that come here have thought they were cured only to find out that scabies just come back, so when you think you've been cured you want to post it here then after you find out your still infested. Is that my fault that I wanted to help others? maybe I should have waited a while but I wanted other suffering to get help with their suffering, but this I did wait before posting and I'm sure it works!

UPDATE, I think the Badger face stick works much better than the other sunblocks, it could be because it has more zinc oxide in it.

UPDATE - I'm disappointed, but at least I have figured something out, before you go rushing to the store, like I did, the sunscreens don't work that well, they need more of the zinc oxide, (the maximum strength desitin or any rash cream with 40% zinc oxide is what does works) I can't believe I'm posting this on Christmas day, but, I didn't want anyone to buy this, then be mad at me. I am also looking into making a cream with 40% zinc oxide (that is not sticky), I will give the ingredients here when I have got it right. And you guys can check it out for yourself online too.

Hi Bitten 1,
I got some spots on my face and this is helping to heal them up nicely. I've mixed some bare minerals face powder into the desitin (mainly because I don't want to scare myself when I wake up in the morning :-) I spot treated with some clove oil mixture before applying.
I also went back to adding a tsp of tea tree oil to all my shampoos and conditioner, and using a mouthwash with tea tree oil, and using the desitin on my hands as well until this outbreak on my face is gone.
Recently I saw some non-nano 20% zinc oxide sunscreen from Livestrong that was less expensive than the Badger product, which I'll try if I still need it after going through what I already have.

Desitin helps. I used it last night for first time. They hate it and it dramatically clears up the skin. The apple cider pills didn't produce any results but the Heinz unfiltered apple cider vinegar helps a great deal. I drink 2 tbsp with warm water every night after dinner. I may increase to 3 tbsp. Clove oil as low as 4% produces results but I use 6.5-7%. I am going to look for some mustard seed powder and citric acid today. If I don't find any I will order. Im doing arm &hammer or borax (1cup) baths with h2o2(1/2cup), and bleach (3-5caps) every night and will start doing twice a day. I may add apple cider vinegar to that. I bought some black walnut vinegar but have not tried it yet. Sulfur didn't do much for me. I did order raw sulfur and then had a local drug store mix it for me to a 10% Ointment. I have not tried it yet either. I know how hard it is to stay ahead of this fight.
There's a lot of people on here doing or may just saying a lot of dangerous methods to desperate people. There is no over night cure. Don't do crazy things like use chemicals for animals. You will hurt your self.
I highly reccomend the apple cider vinegar drink and careful use of clove oil. I don't think the zinc oxide is enough on its own but It gives major relief. Everybody loved Casper anyway.

Also, I didn't wish to give the impression that you shouldn't see a doctor. A doctor...not a dermatologist. I am going in the morning to get an ivermectin prescription. I am taking primrose oil pills, beta Carotene, and garlic pills. Never drink alcohol and avoid sugar.
Fight every day and never give up. They don't take a break and will only grow stronger when you take a break.

I like the idea of zinc... but you do have to be careful with it! Not the whole body all at once - I've heard of people ending up in the ER with zinc poisoning from over doing it as a sunscreen.

I also love the clove oil cure, but I've been adding the following essential oils to my mix:
Clove
Orange
Oregano
Thyme
Lemongrass
Anise
Pine
TTO
Lavender
Neem
In a mix of olive and coconut oils.

I found a good pre-mixed oil that smells better than mine www.repairthebare.com - I bought some and used it, but ran out and went back to making my own.
I also found a great, but pricey, line called Keys - the Redicare and MetaClean are pretty amazing and had some ingredients I hadn't heard of before - Karanja Oil and Black Cumin Seed Oil. I've ordered some of these separately... along with Burdock, Dandelion, Red Clover and Sea Buckthorn.

I've had this parasite for a month and tried the perm - had a mite burrow THROUGH the medication! Did Borax/HP but it gives me a rash (I still borax my laundry and carpets), did Arm & Hammer in the bath (drying), Epsom salt, sea salt.... one of the strangest experiences was with Dr. Singha's Mustard Bath http://drsingha.com/and Olbas Herbal Bath http://www.olbas.com/ mixed. It was like bathing in IcyHot - but pleasant. I got out and covered myself in Castor Oil. Tiny black dots came out all over my skin! I went back and the bath was full of them. I've done it since and much less have come out.

What I like about the oil mixture is that if I feel anything - a pin prick, crawlie, itch, or just a *sense*- I can put the oil on and rub and ta da! Out pops a hard, sharp little grain. My understanding is that this is a nymph or adult... they definitely come in various sizes. But it's 100% certain if I feel something I can massage it out with oil. I think the oils stun and smoother them and they let go, because if I feel something and run my hand over dry skin, I can't find them. But a little oil and I can get them. Hopefully they are dead!

I'm also on anti-parasite pills (Scram by Healthforce), Neem pills, food grade HP, apple cider vinegar, and basically anything I can think of. For the house I LOVE Citrasolv - and I add extra clove, lemongrass, oregano, etc. Plus 91% alcohol, windex, etc

I even bought Biosilk... but I think the oils are better. I'm dying my hair right now to get them off my scalp, I smeared Biosilk all over my face (I have them in my eyes, nose and ears - joy). We'll see how they like that.

Good luck to everyone! May we all be free from the hungry ghosts!
