I don't have a tub;can I soak where nodules/egg infestations are on ankles in buckets filled with 35% hydrogen peroxide?

That's the strength I read somewhere on this forum to use. Diluted or full burning 35% strength?????

Does hydrogen peroxide get into the burrows as I read here also??????????

Diatomaceous earth has helped, but needing to clean out burrow/nodules under skin where Crusted/Norwegian Scabies caused deep{spent 2 wks in hospital to prevent possible blood poisoning}skin tissue infection called cellulitis.

HELP!

I have never heard of anyone using 35% hydrogen peroxide directly on their skin......so in a word NO.
There was a post a short while back from our poster from the Netherlands that addressed treatments for crusted scabies. I'll do a quick look to see if I find it, or maybe he can answer this question for you.

No, use 3% Hydrogen Peroxide. Dilute it 1 part H202 and 2 parts water. with a few tablespoons of borax mixed with this solution. yes, the hydrogen peroxide acts as the penetrant and will help with getting the borax into the burrows to kill the mites inside there.
but, you've been hospitalized, so I would check with your derm, first, before you do anything else.
35% h202 is too strong!!!

What type of carrier oil are you using with the DE?

With Norweigan scabies, you need ivermectin, in addition to a GOOD topical.

I tried the Ivermectin horse paste for awhile with some short-term positive effects, but I stopped using it out of fear after reading on this forum that 6 people have died using it; it said "months later after using it they died".

With the DE I have been using it as both an internal killer/cleanse{folk here siad 2 Tablespoons/day but I've been using 3/day with good results} and as a paste made with olive oil. Vann from Tennessee{major proponent of its use on that DE thread uses grapseed oil but says he thinks olive is good too}. Olive is cheaper and that's why it's my choice, but I am thinking of switching to Vann's oil when I can afford it.

Hi. I know of NO ONE who died using ivermectin. I did read an article about some people in an old folks home who died, but it could have been from natural old age problems. Good that you are getting relief from the DE. DE is less toxic. Vann didn't have N. scabies.

Ok. I have never heard of this before but I'll share what I did when I had a bad case of scabies. If you live in the U.S. buy 10% sulfur ointment - I found it at Wal-Mart in the hair products section but this was a few years ago, otherwise you can buy it online fairly cheap. Here is the step by step:

1. Wear latex gloves to protect the surfaces you clean.
2. Wipe clean all furniture, throw away whatever you used to clean.
3. Wash all your sheets, towels and clothes and dry them in high heat setting. All the items that cannot be washed in this manner put in a plastic bag and close it tight, keep this way for at least 10 days before using again. WASH EVERYTHING THE SAME DAY SO YOU CAN BE SURE ALL YOUR CLOTHES AND LINENS ARE CLEAN. Remember to wipe clean the clothes basket.
4. Vacuum thoroughly all upholstered surfaces and carpets.
5. Buy some permethrin spray at drugstore and after you have wiped clean an vacuumed apply spray. Remember to spray your shoes (my whole household was reinfected because my daughter forgot to do this). I don't know what to do about your computer keyboard but please clean it as thoroughly as possible.
6. Take a bath and use either of the following: 1 c. of borax or 1 c. of vinegar. If you don't have a tub at least give yourself a washcloth bath with the diluted vinegar solution.
7. THIS is the stinky part: Thoroughly coat yourself with the sulphur ointment. It is recommended you do the ointment part every day for at least 10 days before you go to bed. It is hot and smelly but it really does work. You can wash thoroughly in the morning. No need to wash your linens until you are done with the cycle of sulphur ointment. Good luck.

DO NOT USE PEROXIDE AND SULFUR CREAM AT THE SAME TIME!!!! This will cause HYDROGEN SULPHATE a deadly gas. It can cause respiratory failure and death. I almost killed myself using this combo. I used a sulphur cream made from MSM and then was spot treating new breakouts with 30% hydrogen peroxide. I started having breathing probs and felt shaky and went and showered off really well then ventilated the house. My nose is burning and chest feels tight but I am ok. This could have been very serious I found out!!! One or the other but not both! If you have sulfur residue on your skin don't use peroxide!!! Thought I might give you guys a heads up. Take care... Hydrogen Peroxide does not cure Scabies.

Oral Stromectol also known as ivermectin and rubbing on Permethrin will cure Scabies if the dose is strong enough.
