Thanks for posting this article, it's very interesting.
I think some of the posters have based their BB and TTO mix on this study. The hope is that the TTO kills the surface walkers.
Before I knew I had mites, I was using a TTO/alcohol spray on my feet, not to treat anything, just as protection from picking up something when I was barefoot. My toes and feet were the most effected by mites, crusting and burrows right where I had been using the TTO. But based on this study I've added TTO to my BB spray for good luck. The smell gets to me after awhile though.
Sadly BB and Permethrin 5% are slow kill. Ivermectin takes awhile to paralyze the mites too.
in vitro means the mite was in a dish soaking the the stuff as the scientist watched, right? These things are hard to kill!

P.S.  In my opinion, and in this time, mainly, the purpose of the presents of scabies is to teach the Earth's people about the bearing of respect for the limit of their descendants amount, namely; the overpopulation.

Next to the infectious black rat, domestic animals like cats and dogs are the number one spreaders of plague and disease, brought over to humans.

The infectious rat and her infested parasites (fleas, lice, scabies) spread over to (domestic) animals. Domestic animals carrie always parasites. infected or not. On their turn, the (domestic) animals as well as their (infected) parasites can however, jump over to human and infectiously bite.

I know for a fact from my own experience revolution is the best bet for pets. I did one treatment and they are gone. As far as us humans the winning combo was using the prescription cream from the doc and following up a week later mixed with daily application of 100% pure uncut tea tree oil that I purchased on eBay. A large bottle will run you about 20 bucks. I have treated all of us daily for a month and I still have only used around 4 ounces. I also sprayed all surfaces down with RID home spray. You have to be super vigilant. I put tea tree oil on all jewelry, glasses etc. this has been the worst nightmare of my life but I thank God I tried the tea tree oil

Despite all of the dozens of majorly strong chemicals I've applied, the only one that burned was the TTO. Its way obvious that most peoples skins are different. Just wish there was a one-size fits all cure. Are you clear yet?

Have you done the prem med and iver pills? Thats the best way to get cured. TTO is great. I used it for over a month, but did not cure. I used 100% on my skin and it didn't burn but now my skin is so dry it hurts.

If you are in the US aren't there urgent care or emergency care clinics? The drug company, Merck I think it is, and maybe some others, provide meds for people who are in challenging circumstances.

ditto to above advice from NP, plus clean in/on your environment with Borax.

Hello I have figured out that alot of dog sprays contain tea tree oil like"Vets Best Hot Spray"
I have just now tried it.
1.spray on affected areas(It may burn a little)
2.Rub in deep and repeat this one more time.
3.leave on for an hour.
This is actually working 1 hr already and no itches
Remember Warm water shower or bath to rid them little buggers.
And Always clean sheets and clothes.
(REPEAT THIS FOR ABOUT A MONTH.
NAtural oils work
-margosa leaves, tumeric, mustard oil mix those well and place them on areas for 1 hr then wash with cold water WORKS TOO

I have to share my tea tree oil story. I bought and used it a few weeks ago when I thought this was staph. I just applied it to the affected areas with a q-tip. Of course, it didn't help at all.
I just took my 3rd round of Iver today. I've been thinking that my bites are gonna have to start looking better at some point, but up until last night...they were very red and inflamed. I drew my bath last night with the normal epsom salt in it and was already in before I realized I didn't have my oil. The tto was still on the side of the tub along with the other half of Walgreens. So i just poured some in. I didn't use a dropper, so I don't know how much. I soaked for a while and then was just too exhausted to do the full sulphur thing. I just spot treated some and went to bed. This morning the sores are 85% better. It really dried up the existing sores I had. I'm not sure if it will kill scabies or not, but it sure comes out on top for clearing up the sores.((There's not a whole lot I haven't tried in the last few weeks))
I am glad to read your post because I by chance tried using a mix of water and tea tree oil on my sons body...top to bottom, using make up removal pads. It was after his bath I realised what the sores were and we lived far from town so this was the only option for me to use. I let it dry on his body. It wasn't long after that his sores stopped itching. I cover them all with a band aid each to stop any that hatched out falling onto his clothes then about an hourlater on after completely dry washed his hair and body with a mix of vinegar and shampoo about 50:50 The itch went away completely after the tea tree oil treatment. I got the whole family to wash with vinegar:shampoo from top to bottom, stand for about 5 mins with it on, then wash off. The next day the bits were significantly smaller and the redness and itch had gone out of the sores. this is only day two, but I am hopeful that we can control it with these two home remedies. I used the vinegar/shampoo mix to treat hair nits when the kids were small, just washing hair every day with it, and we never had any problem getting rid of them. No nasty chemeicals. Thanks for your post.

I am not sure if I even had scabies but decided to self-diagnose as so.
The only place I have had an outbreak was my hands and wrist.
I have been using tree tea oil, directly with a cotton ball and mixing it with lotion (for those whose skin dries out) for about two days.
And literally I don't have itching anymore nor and new bumps and my outbreak seems to be drying out completely. I use the mixture of lotion with TTO to apply all over the body seems a lot easier.
I have also been just using Hydrogen Peroxide as a hand wash and that really seems to help a lot.
These are just suggestions folks, everything works differently on different people.
I have also heard of ppl. soaking in Borax baths and or epsom salt/hydrogen peroxide to help.

I have been dealing with scabies for about a month and a half now. I can hardly take it any more! even as we speak I have just gotten out of a bath I was soaking in with half a bottle of apple cider vinegar to kill the mites and tea tree oil. Then I dried off and began examining my skin. It seemed like new spots were cropping up so I went and grabbed a bottle of tea tree oil and began applying it everywhere. I can not stand the smell, I thought it was okay, but after a day or two of wearing it, it actually makes me feel sick. I read somewhere online that just straight 100% tto was affective for somebody in killing the mites, so thats why I've been using it. It does seem to work, but new spots keep coming up. I Used the Prem cream but it still came back after a feiw days, I'm not sure if I recaught the scabies from something,(like possibly my dog that is itching like mad that my parents refuse to treat but nether of them seem to have cught the scabies even though they sleep with my dog every morning!!) or if the Prem didnt work all the way.

Anyway, thats enough of the whole story. Does anybody, have any idea what I should do? Although they arent as bad as before wheni wasnt doing anything they arestill riving me mad and leaving such unsightly scabs that I keep picking even though I dont want to! I've been using neem, tee tree, and and apple cider vinegar. I dont know what to do! Should I go to the doctor again? Advice please!!!!!

Well I'll be damned!I put coconut oil over the tea tree i applied a fiew minutes ago and suddenly little tiny, nearly unseeable tiny black dots and wiffs of what might appear to be hair to the unsuspecting eyE began surfacing continually to my skin! Am I mad or is the coconut oil actually helping the tea tree to abosorb and forcing the little bastards out?

The Walmarts here used to carry a 2 oz bottle of TTO for $5. Also the Pomada de azufre 2.6 oz for $5. Both were discontinued about 2 months ago, which I thought was very odd.
I do think the TTO can kill mites that are not burried in your skin. I used 100% TTO on myself all over when I was infected, with little results. Maybe mixed with coconut oil, which is supposed to have better skin penetration, it might work to kill burrowed mites. I had no luck with it.
I found the Azufre bar soup in the Mexican product section for 2.89.
