I've also read posts on here of people saying they feel them biting. Those little pin prick sensations are not the bugs biting, it's the skin's allergic reaction. If you get hives from a food allergy or a fragrance etc. you will have the exact same sensation along with the creepy crawlies and no bugs are present.
I think sometimes people can make themselves a little nuts and their condition worse by reading all these horror stories. I think some would feel a lot better about their situation if they weren't thinking every little sensation from their skin is bugs all over them.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they won't still itch like mad.
Your one of those that has to see it to believe it, and you are also part of the problem and not the solution, why do you bother to post comments on something you know absolutely nothing s bout? and that is how you are part of the problem, I suggest you educate yourself.

Different mites cause different symptoms. This person had the typical scabies mites, which cause more itching than "biting" sensations.

San Beradino, would you like to expound on this?

I think tempers are flaring because this is such a horrible thing to have to deal with. I'm suppose to vacuum everyday...that's when my symptoms really act up and my feet are always getting bitten in my car. Just when I think I beat it..boom. I've layed in bed grateful I don't own a gun. It gets THAT BAD. I'm gonna try that diam. earth stuff. I saw a big batch of tiny bugs under my dryer so I think my washer and dryer are infested. Ugh

I have seen where some people claim the have used various topical remedies and then have been able to "see" the critters coming out of their skin. From all I have read online, Scabie Mites are too small to see with naked eye. Have yall been using a magnifying glass? Could it be some other parasite? And one other Question, After using permethrin properly (two treatments and cloth, bedding washed, for everyone in household, etc.) are you being re-infested, not doing proper complete treatment, or could these critters have evolved into a superbug that is resistant to conventional treatment? Not saying anyone hasn't tried their best to rid themselves of this, but there has to be something in the course of treatment/ongoing preventative maintenance that one is not completing in order for the infestation to continue.
When I treated the Rugs I left the borax in for a very long time ,when I vacuumed I looked really good in the container and seen tiny bugs that died ,they were microscopic.so would that be scabies? and when I do the laundry as said Im still itchy

I think with all the humidity and not much winter bugs are out of control in my house, these one's just joining in on the fun. But they make all the other ones ten times creepier

Scabies are not visible to the naked eye. You don't see a "big batch of tiny bugs under your dryer." call a pest control company. you don't have scabies.

I'm really glad I found this forum as I have been suffering for nine months. I was starting to believe I had Morgellons because every key word that I googled to find out what is in me directed me to morello n's but then I finally got on the right track with scabies. However, I have a symptom that doesn't fit in with scabies and I'd like to know if anyone else has it.
I noticed a tiny cut like flap of skin on my finger and when I squeezed (I know, I know. I shouldn't do it but I can't seem to stop myself) there appeared to be a half an inch of a larvae looking object just beneath the surface of my skin. I got scared and had a drink to calm myself down seeing as I'm freaked out by all this BS. Ten minutes later I noticed a shiny clear substance in the spot that I had seen the larvae-like object.
Does anyone else have this symptom and does it mean it is not scabies?

pls help. been with partner for 2 months and just recently have found "something". It doesn't itch particularly but I have found 3 "creatures". Thought it was the dreaded crabs but after lots of research don't think it is. Would go docs but day after I discovered them my surgery had a fire - I know you couldn't write it. So really need some advice or support - thanks

I've read so many scientific articles on scabies that my brain is numb. If you can link me to an article that states they can be seen (the scabies mite) crawling out of the skin with the naked eye, I will gladly admit that I was wrong.
I can tell you alone I've seen them. Yes I do have 20/20 vision but I also thought it was not possible. Until I kept getting itchy (my skin is really sensitive also so I never thought to think it might be something more then the winter dry air.) Until some days passed and I thought it wasn't normal and the next time I itched...I seen a black speck which I myself thought was fiber or a it ty biddy wood falling. I'm talking smaller then the eye on a penny. Until I went to my doctors after my son complained of the same thing and asked me to scratch his back,(this only happened while the skin area was wet/moist from a bath ect. And another black speck. But the doctor told me the same thing...it was not it bc you simply just can not see them. But surprise surprise I asked my Dr to give me a few minutes to feel an itch and find one and have him remove it to look under something he could see with. He did just that after wetting my arms and them in the process of mid drying, I felt one..looked and seen it (no its not every time I felt an itch I found one but there were ones I seen) he took the tape to wear I said and sure enough an hour later came back in and was in total awe because I was right. No before or after that I had never had them to know the signs...but they very much ARE visible if you have even decent vision and sensitive skin .

Excuse me but I dont think you should make comments like this. I have had scabies for three weeks contracted from a remote Indigenous community in Australia. People here feel them biting all the time. Its not a reaction, the welts and rashes are a reaction. I have repeatedly felt something crawling eg behind my knee and look and see nothing. Within a minute or two in the same spot I will feel a definite bites/bites. In another 3-5 minutes red bumps come up like molting pouches. So how can you explain the crawling followed by biting sensation followed by red bumps? I see nothing because they are crawling under the skin not on top. Yuk but please dont discredit this as many people experience with this strain of scabies (which also happens to be Permithirin resistant).
