I definitely think so because I'm having the most trouble with them on my face in the past 3 wks. They try to squirm their way in my mouth all night long & even sometimes during the day.. They make it in there sometimes. Nasty, hu?

Do you now what it is? I have the same. I feel it all over the body and head, in my tonsils and ears.

Get Full Marks Solution, it should kill any creature with an exoskeleton and stops all itching too. It's active ingredient is also in mouthwash so pretty safe, while I wouldn't go swallowing it, try putting mouthwash on an itch to see what I mean.
It will make hair look very greasy unfortunately but you can't have everything. You'll need to shampoo it before going anywhere or wear a hat.
I've posted this advice in the forums here several times in the past. Can't say I've had a reply or anyone acting on what I say so y'all can just keep running around trying everything else that doesn't work or try it out./care

*Any small creature with a chitin exoskeleton I mean. Your lobsters should be unaffected.

Thank you Cat, if you've read up on the way this works, it dissolves the wax coating of the exoskeleton, this makes the bugs rapidly dehydrate and die. There's nothing like it for headlice and their eggs, kills them all within about 30 seconds and it's reasonable to assume the same happens to mites. I used this when we had scabies and thought it was the miracle that no one knew about. It was either continuous use of this or Malathion that cured us but I can't tell now. One thing I'll add to what I've written already is that if you put this on and there's still a point of itching anywhere, it could be where a mite has gone deeper. Just putting a bit more on usually works there and try to work it in to the skin deeper.
This stuff won't stop you itching again later so just reapply. Wish I knew if this actually killed the mites though and wish it could dissolve any dead mites to get rid of the weeks of ghost itches. Feels like that's what it's doing but I doubt it. Big question is, does it kill them? Needs more testing but I think yes :)
At least, immense relief of the itching. At most, a non-toxic cure to scabies and other parasites.
Don't forget to post up what you think of the stuff anyway Catzillaa. Cheers!

Thanks Bob I will report back. I spotted a bottle while I was xmas shopping and remembered I had read about it on Topix. It was the last bottle so I grabbed it then went looking for your Topix post.
I mainly want it for my scalp as my hair cant take anymore harsh chemicals. I cover my scalp with it then add a layer of DMSO to take it deeper. Im impressed with what I have read about Full marks. It has no warnings or precautions which leads me to think it is very safe. As I use DMSO safety is important to me. Also no known resistance as what happens eventually with all the other treatments.Do you know if it affects the eggs?

1) buy Diatamecous Earth food grade, put little piles of it on the floor under the couch at closet entry, under bed, then use shop vac, put the hose on the vac where it blows instead of sucks (wear a mask) dust entire house - you will have a fine silt type powder all over the house...do the same with the interior of the car.
2) buy some plastic tubs with lids for the laundry, add Diatamecous earth (2 tablespoons full)to the laundry that is in the tubs..I flip mine upside down or shake it with the lid on to make sure the DE gets all over the dirty clothes.
3) buy Borax and fill the bath tub with HOT water add about 1 cup of borax (as hot as you can possibly stand it) use a bristle brush and also Sulfur soap (both borax and sulfer soap can be bought from walmart) lather up with the sulfur soap and use the stiff bristle brush to scrub yous skin from head to toe...YES botoms of feet and hands too, face...EVERYWHERE...you will see these little bastards flaoting on the top of the water...do this every day.
4) let the Diatamecous earth sit on the carpet for 48-72 hours before you vacuum it up and then redust the house again the same way as in step #1
5)wash all laundry and put it in a plastic tub until you are ready to use the clothes..only wear them once then put them in the dirty tub witht he DE sprinkled inside it.
I also have been using bounce sheets in my dryer and wash clothes with arm & Hammer soap and adding borax to my wash...they aren't 100% gone yet but i hardly have any crawling sensations on my skin anymore. So much better.
I plan on doing this regimine for 60 days, longer if needed

People are tempted to use Diatomaceous Earth on themselves and this is one of the worst things you can do to yourself. The people selling this stuff have mounted a large campaign to tell you that amorphous food grade DE is safe because it is not chrystaline. The way DE works is to scratch off the surface biofilm internally and to fill up the skins pores with tiny shards of broken glass. DE is silica, which is essentially glass. Glass is amorphous , if you get a window from a 100 year old house you will find that the glass is thicker at the bottom of the pane because it flowed over the 100 years. Thatís amorphous neither liquid nor solid, it doesnít have an exact melting point. But if you break that window it will still cut you. All silica weather itís called amorphous or chrystaline is sharp, thatís how it works, and those sharp edges get stuck in tissue. That is why silica migrates through the body very slowly , it cuts its way through. Also your body doesnít metabolize it. In the case of breathing it your lungs will isolate it as a foreign substance and grow tissue around it to protect you, this is called interstitial lung disease. Silica also has severe immune system effects. Donít be fooled it doesnít matter if it is amorphous or chrystaline, all DE, read silica will hurt you.

Your body canít metabolize either kind of silica and there is always some chrystaline silica in food grade DE. It also cuts through your GI tract which is how it has such negative effects on the immune system.

If you'll notice in the above study on "amorphous"silica the study was short term. And in many studies it is well known that it takes 10 years or more to develop silicosis.

http://www.cdc.gov/niosh/programs/resp//risks...

"Silica, also known as silicon dioxide, is the most common mineral on earth. Inhaling dusts that contain crystalline forms of silica can cause a fibrosing interstitial lung disease called silicosis. Silicosis usually takes at least 10 years after exposure to develop."

Anyone pushing DE should have their credibility permanantly discounted.

Hey Slimbob, Can you please tell me the name of this stuff you say works and where do I go to get it. I'm desperate! They're I guess what you'd call bedded in the side my mouth and they won't all get out or die no matter what I do.

could try iodine gargling: three drops Betadine into water, or better still the real Betadine mouthwash, regularly. Love

I've tried full marks and it's not strong enough at all. I no longer have scabbies and used a mixture of perm 5% cream and natural remedies such as clove and neem oil and lots of elbow grease and i got rid of a bad case of the mites in under a months.
