Hi Guys,

Wow, I really never, ever, ever want to catch this bloody thing again. What an absolute bitch! best of luck to you all.

Quick one - I've used permethrin 5% now for the second time and have no night-time itching, so I think (pray) that I'm all clear.

Only thing is that I've now had lots (50ish?) tiny water-(i think) filled little blisters appear all over my fingers. There are in sort of patterns/threads, i.e. not randomly-spaced. apart from that everything's good, redness clearing up nicely.

ANY idea what these are? and are they, in fact, filled with water, or some sort of special contagion that's going to infect everyone, Also, I know you shouldn't pop blisters. But really, can't i just crack these and keep them clean?

well im not sure maybe u are having a reaction to that cream. I always bust the blisters i get from working etc. i know this sounds nasty but i remove the skin that use to cover the blister so it wont get infected. If you wait the blisters will either pop theirselves or go way. Maybe u should wait to c if they will go down. Your skin has been through so much. ive noticed if you wait for them to go down their faster at healing then if you just bust em. Its been 10 days since ive treated myself the second time with perm. sometimes i have to itching then sometimes i feel quite itchy an crawly. Last night was great i finally settled my mind and got sum sleep without any itchy or pinpricks. Why do you still get pin pricks even after treatment? Hope mine are gone too monkey!

Hey fellow countryman lol! I have heard many instances where bubbles, or tiny blisters appear after permethrin. I got them myself, but please be aware, your environment must be clean clean clean, or you could get reinfested. Problems for me were mobile phone, wallet, coat, shoes, and my acoustic guitar. Don't forget remote controls and game controllers, and your computer mouse and keyboard. I am sure I was reinfected from my mouse, as it was the only thing I forgot about one time and my right hand got it again.

Anyway I would pop the blisters, only because I found them very painful, like I pin if I pressed them, and bursting would ease it.

Good luck mate, I sincerely hope you are cured. Perm cured me 3 years ago, after only one 2X treatments, but I got em again this year from another source, and 6 months later I am still battling!

Hi Monkey,I'm also a Londoner. I get a few blisters too after using Derbac but frankly it's a lesser evil if it kills them .I wouldn't worry about them,my skin settles down after using it but I haven't got rid of them(8yrs!) As Zelda says ,re-infection from not decontaminating your environment is absolutely crucial and as PC. says ,getting the timing of using a dermicide is too. I've seen dermatologists at West Mid & Trop Hosp UCLH who were crap. There's v good advice on this forum Good luck

before doing a treatment soak in warm water it helps clean out the sores, and burrows and then treat. Just rem the new eggs hatch every 3 to 10 days. Im not sure if anything kills the eggs that would be something to research on. u can even do sulfar for 3 straight nights but every 24 hrs after sulfar u must do a cleansing bath. Cleaning is drivin me bonkers....making me compulsive and the itches left makin me paranoid. how do u know if you really got rid of them even after treatment u might feel pricks, bumps and itchy? That is my ques...akkk i hate those little bastards!! i order sulfar soap hope it gets here soon. Tonight i re vaccummed and mixed up some borax laundry detergent an water, thats all i have im almost running out of lice spray. My doctor and health dept told me lice spray will kill both scabbies and lice. have u tried the lice spray ben and monkey??

Ho ho! I've thought about that too Zelda, but then again what about organ phospate poisoning farm workers get from it.Who cares about the sheep as they'll end up as Sunday lunch.Sometimes the world seems like a toxic sludge of chemicals and parasites which I guess it is really ! Not a good day then eh?

if dermatologist would come up with some kind of pool of medicine to get rid of scabbies, wouldnt that be great!just jump in go for a swim having fun and killing those bastards once and for all!! And yes we got to joke around a little to let off this steam these things bring into our life. Scabbies= insanity. I think that should be thier new name= insanity. Thats what they should have named them insanity beasts!!
Side affacts of Insanity beasts/scabbies= Compulsive cleaning, paranora, feeling of itchyness even after treatment, will play on your mind, and body. scabbies= crazyness, insane, sleeplessness , and mad as hell. lol i think this fits them bastards!!

Yeah, bad day. Not so much because of itching but just utter depression. Just started to cry last night as I replaced the sheet on the bed the hundred millionth time. Can't afford all this electricity, detergent, creams, etc, its a killer.

aaahhh it's a total f***er.Could you go away for a week minimum? I understand the fear of giving it to a friend or relative so that's out...ideas..ideas...despite everything thank god for the NHS,am watching the news. You've zapped it before you'll do it again. I want to go to a sunkissed barren Greek island stock up with
lotions and ivermectin and od on the lot of them until I'm 100% sure 'they're' gone.Lack of sleep is psychological torture and if u mention that then it's a mental health problem.I've got debt I can't pay but fuck em I WANT TO LIVE

I mentioned this maybe a hundred times on the forums. What made a really big difference for me was when I bought the twin sized Ozark air mattress (without the velor) from Walmart for $11.88. I just rinse it off and wipe it down every other day. It saves so much on laundry, gas, electric, detergent, etc. the vinyl covers didn't work for me. I no longer use a regular bed, as it stays infested no matter what i do. I've gone through a few of these mattresses, but they are so worth it.

So you're free of them then Joe?
I sleep on the floor on cushions wrapped in plastic.
I have a double whammy in that I live near Heathrow airport (London UK) and the planes start at 4.45am..........oh well ,c'est la vie/merde..on 2nd reading ,it hasn't worked then 'a few x $11.88'
I'll check out my local Asda for them.
Vee need a FINAL SOLUTION,ZYKLON B ! I'm drunk and a bit German so it's allowed.. sigh,scratch,sigh,groan,bored, fed up,fucked off but I will not be 'assimilated '

Aaah you guys are great. Thanks for being there, and being jolly, despite all the shit.
Today has been extremely strange. I haven't itched all day. WTF is going there? I mean it isn't like it has dissipated slowly, but no itch today at all...feel surreal actually.
I am not cured, I am sure, and my boy is still itchy. I have no doubt the itch will be back tomorrow, but it has just been amazing to have a day without any irritation. Mind you, I am drinking wine tonight so that may well dull things.
Anyway, stay cool guys, thanks again

I totally agree;I only started posting a week ago and I've felt more supported by everyone here than I have by friends, family and medical people. It's restored my faith in people......."Did your great-grandfather have any children?"

I can recommend a reputable pharmacy (Permethrin)- http://www.drugs-store-online.com/catalog/Ski... Good price and quality.
