I have been reading posts here, and they have been helpful to know that i am not alone here.... So I went to the local urgent care to get a script for the ivermectin.. they gave it to me but the pharmac told me that the drug was discontinued five years ago! Where on earth do I get this?
Some people also suggested getting permetheran to spray... evidently in NJ they only sell this with other pesticides included.
as for that spray and the borax.... will i need to steam clean my carpet after so as to not get a toxic reaction?
Any answers from any of you that have done this would be immensly appreciated. I am going out of my mind here. Havent been to work in 2 days and the premetheran cream seems to have brought OUT more bumps, not clear them.
please help...

call around and look for Stromectol(Ivermectin)some pharmacies don't carry it. I had to make several calls to find it. or call your MD and ask them if they know where. Firstly, get your Rx ivermectin and topical started and clean your invironment. Any pets or human contacts need to be treated at the same time.

Discontinued at that pharmacy. Some don't carry it.

get some sulfur 8 from Walmart. It's only 2% but can be used as a repellant plus it covers the pores and sufficates some of the mites. It creates a hostile invironment for the mites. I've used it full body without and problems. Walmart used to carry a Sulfur 10% cream too. It's listed on the Sulfur forum.

Don't get discouraged, the mites will die but it takes work on your part.

try the local pet stores like a tractor supply or large animal suppy. Ivermectrin is used in almost all animal worming products and may be avaiable as a solution you caould mix with lotin. sulfur creams should also be avaialbe there.

Right now you can buy Borax, Clorax Bleach and Baking Soda from your local market or Walmart and take a hot 30-minute bath that will kill the crawlers on the outside of your skin. Yes, hold your breath and dunk your head under water several times. I did that every day for several months until I was cured! Pure two cups Borax, 7 capfuls of Clorax, abd two cups of Baking Soda in your hot bath, mix it up and get in! You will thank me afterwards.

This will give you temporary relief and hopefully kill lots of the Scabies mites. The bath itself will not harm you but do avoid getting the bath water in your eyes. Just keep them shut tight under the water.

Next, your doctor is a moron for not prescribing you Stromectol tablets based on your weight. In anycase, you can order them from one of several online pharmacies. I understand that www.drugmonster.com is very reliable but I don't believe they offer express shipping from Canada.

What areas of your body are the mites burrowing in your skin? You said they were on your face but are they mostly in your scalp? I do not advise your to apply any topicals to your face because they could get in your eyes. But if the mites are mostly under the skin of your scalp I would definitely go out to Petsmart and buy Advantix II Blue which has 45% Permethrin and apply it undilluted, leave it on for 8-14 hours before bathing.

Also, stop eating sugar because the mites love sugar!

I could go on and on but this is what I recommend you do now. Keep us posted on your progress.

Desperate girl, I really wouldn't put 45 per cent permethrin on your body.
Go to the country store and buy an ivermectin horse wormer. Use some of it topically and swallow the a rest, divided into suitable doses which you can find on this forum.
Take a bath with a few capfuls of bleach and scrub the itchy places.
Use the ivermectin on your face, not permethrin, please.
I feel really sorry for you, having it on your face. get some tea tree oil or hydrogen peroxide for it.
Good wishes.

steinhauer's feed store in katy or most feed stores have the ivermectin horse paste. people on here take 4x doses with no problem. Best to start with a 2x dose every 4 days for 4 doses. that way they don't build resistance
