--good point--some doctors will suggest one cup...another 1/2 cup...one I know said 5 caps or roughly 1/4 cup. There is definately differences of opinion as to the amount of bleach to use. I guess it would work for most with the lesser amount.

Good info but all this stuff costs a lot of money. I haven't tried bleach baths cos I don't have a bathtub and a hulda clark influenced healer told me to stay away from bleach. If I try it it will be a small amount of bleach.
By the way, for those of you who clean house with bleach, the dog pound recommends only 1 tablespoon bleach to 1 gallon water. More bleach is not not not better. They clean everyday with that. They say because bleach is slimy and if you use to much it doesn't kill but critters or eggs adhere to the slime and do not die.
Mr al, I look for pomada del azufre in every mexican store in oxnard ca and can't find it. I'm travelling so can't buy online. I also have tried to buy lymdip 99.9 percent liquid sulfer at every vet store but they won't sell without a vet visit $$$$ scammers like doctors just my opinion. Mr al says sulfer is a slow kill so spend your money on that if nothing else. I've been taking ivermectin horse paste almost daily for a few weeks and it helps.I treat daily and my laundry is worn once bagged and when washed once a week in hot with borax to kill eggs and dried on hottest hottest dryer for 2 hours solid and then bagged. Clothes never touch any surface before bagging. Straight into double bag from dryer.
Try getting the sulfur soap from EBAY, made in China, it is cheap, but has lots of sulfur in it. you get 4 bars in a shipment, lasts about 1 bar a week. Takes about 2 weeks to get the order.

So far a great buy there. Can't get the mexican brand anymore, most of the local stores have stopped carrying it.

Bleach baths do help clean out the sores and close them up but are not a cure alone. Have you been to the doctor for permethrin yet? Permethrin alone will cure most but some of us have a resistant strain. You can get the doc to write a prescription for stromectol too.

["]does anyone know if you can buy Permethrin 5% with out preinscription?[Yes you can, nix has permetherine in it and I find that it actually works better than the prescription, in one box there are two bottles and its about 20 bucks, also some pharmacy carry a generic version that you can get without a prescription, good luck, I have been having a hard time with this shit to!!

I have tried different things and just tryed a bleach bath. I have spent so much money on creams etc. and they keep coming back like a bad dream. I do have dogs and cats and I never had this before so I am clueless as to how I got scabies in the first place. A friend of mine is an RN and told me that that they give them bleach baths at the hospitals and nursing homes. She herself protects herslef with bleach baths and sprays bleach on herself. She breaks in with 10 perscent of water in the spray bottle. I always had dogs and cats and never a problem. This is a new one for me. Good luck to all of us....

Here's an article that states that you are to use no more than 1/2 cup per 40 gallons of water. Be careful with bleach baths. And no more than twice a week!!!

The Mayo Clinic doesn't mention anything about treating scabies with BLEACH....
