I got scabies from one of my pt's at work. Was working with him for weeks as a sitter, until he was diagnosed, and i was told that I had it as-well. Apparently the doctors didn't believe him either until it was too late. Now I've been out of work for 3 weeks, they keep giving me the scabies cream, and saying how it should be enough. And how it's probably something else. I finally got them to give me the pill, gonna use it today. But they say that one dose will cure all. That's funny, how can it? I mean it lasts 16-30hours, and if i touched anything in my house with the pathogen, that will last 3 days. That means in 3 days I'll get it again, unless I can get another dose.... Basically most doctors look at hospital stays as their benchmarks. If you have 10 nurses, in full precaution gear, disinfecting your small hospital room, and moving all the linen, and covering you head to to tow in every place with the cream, then yes it's enough. If you live at home, and have carpets, chairs, beds, mattresses, etc, then no, u won't ever clean them all off at a 100% level, so the chance of reinfection is much higher then in the hospital. It would seem the medical community ignores that fact. And just calls you crazy.
Have the doctors that say it's something else give you a western blot Igg and Igm for Borrellia and a PCR test for Bartonella.

Nop, they don't even want me in the hospital until this is gone. They finally admitted that I have it from my phone-description of the rashes, how they go away with cream and come back 5 days later. That's how i got the pill medication. I don't think they wanted me in the hospital for the test, or wanted to pay for the test. But when you tell them that you've never had these before, that you were in constant contact with a PT who had, and that it reacts to scabies cream but comes back in different parts of your body 5-6days later, they tend to believe you after a while. They need me to get back to work, but they can't do it until I'm scabies free. I really hope these ivermectin pills work from first try.

Absolutely NOT TRUE! First, B17 isn't a vitamin. Second, it is so toxic to some that it is fatal. The contents of B17 turn in to cyanide! And finally, clinical trials prove that this does not have any effect whatsoever on curing Cancer. There is no evidence it has any effect on Scabies. So suggesting this is irresponsible and dangerous because many here are desperate and will try anything.
Vitamin B17 IS a vitamin. The FDA took it out of B complex vitamins in the 70's. The type of cyanide in B17 only kills the cancer cells in the body, and is not harmful to humans.

Well people think my post is clueless and they disagree. Not sure what they disagree with, that I have scabies, or that I think I have scabies, anyhow... I might not be a doctor, so no I don't know everything about them, but I am one to suffer from them, and I did find a solution. After I tried everything i forced my doctor to give me Ivermectin. This is a 6 pill dose of 3mg each. All taken at once. I took it 2 days ago. Within 2 hours the itching almost stopped, within 2 days, I have no itching, and the rash is reduced to almost nothing. Keep in mind i tried to kill these scabies for 3 weeks with no results. Ivermectin works. It's amazing, the most amazing drug ever. For me it had no sideffects, i didn't even feel it when i took the pills, just relief. I advise all those suffering with a resistant scabies strain to learn about Ivermectin, it's amazing, the most amazing pill ever.

hey low level hospital worker, Please continue to update us on how the ivermectin worked. I'm glad you're seeing relief with the iver and hopefully the symptoms do not return. I have tried permethrin at least 5 times and each time I break out worse than before and a few days later it seems that it's right back to itching. I think maybe it does have some effect and maybe I'm a little less itchy each time but it definitely doesn't/hasn't eliminated them completely. I just received a script for 18mg iver from my doc but was told to take 6mg each dose/week and do that for 3 weeks. Now I'm thinking that maybe I should just take all of it at once. I weigh nearly 200 lbs. so I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be overdosing. anyway let me know if the iver did in fact cure you. good luck.

Yes $20 is cheap, but from your explanation of having MRSA, then you need professional treatment.
For one thing, you sound like you know what you are doing, but your explanation of having lesions "exploded with horrid larvae looking things" sounds a bit dramatic and you need professional care, and coming on a forum talking like this is sick in the HEAD.
You don't come on here and tell people to use an entire tube of ivermectin on their skin. Go the doctor and get your treatments, and quit playing around on the NET!!!
VSS.....I was NOT the one telling anyone to use anything. The other poster you jumped all over did that, not me. Pls attempt to get your facts straight. I have been to several doctors, have you? Or do you just come here looking to bicker with other people who post here? I did say I am more than willing to give this a shot using ivermectin horse paste, Happy Jack anti-fungal and mixed with the alcohol. I did give the least offensive description of many of my lesions and believe me, that is exactly what I did. So please just take a deep breath and skip my posts because your reply to me was pretty hostile. I have not put up one single post that suggests a treatment to kill these mites...not one. I would happily do so if, or when, I do find a way to remove these things from my life. Until then please don't criticize another until you are certain your facts are correct. If you disagree with another that's fine but there is no need to be so disrespectful and hostile. I don't know, maybe you were just having a bad day or something when you decided to jump all over me calling me nuts and telling me how to spend my time ("go to the doctor, get your treatments and quit playing around on the net")...Sorry to have upset you so much...:~)

I feel your pain I have had a few breakdowns through this process. I have been going through this for 9 weeks. Each week for seven weeks I treated with permethrin but after 4 days I would begin to feel activity then another breakout. My dermatologist thinks I'm crazy but after seven weeks he finally did a biopsy. Out of despiration i ordered something called Natursil Starter kit online and Hallelujah!! i got the best night sleep for the next four days. i thought it was gone for sure but then in about a week started feeling pin pricks again. i ordered more but i was getting ready to go back out of town and the stuff hadnt come in the mail and the biopsy Results werent in but while I have been waiting I had another breakout so I went to emergency room and begged for the ivermectin. I haven't been able to fill the prescription yet to say whether it is going to work. If you can afford it I would try Natursil starter pack. I do not work for the company but they will get a glowing recommendation from me. My dermatologist not so much. Hang in there. I will pray for you. Your not alone. God Bless.

OK. Yr all going to think this rediculas but i contracted scabies from my not so faithful partner of 11years. I gave them to my children and also my bestfriend, who then passed them on to her family. We struggled we used everything even dousing ourselves in household chemicals. little did we know we both had the cure in our homes. So thats not so rediculas you are thinking right. But this part is we steam cleaned everything to kill them throughout our homes still they came we had normal and crusted it was out of control. i had know idea what so i turned my common handheld steamer on myself i put alittle on myaffected areas which was everywhere fanny and all and blasted away. I placed the steamer far enough away so i wouldnt burn but low and behold scabies are dead all that remained after 30mins was a white milk like substance running out of my hands and feet everywhere. I was infested i hope this advise helps people. im not a Dr or anything special. Im a Mum i wonted to hug my kids

Well, just a very quick update...that concoction of Alcohol, Horse Paste Ivermectin and the Dog antifungal has been working great! I have had these things for going on 3 yrs. so it may take a bit longer to rid my life of them BUT when I put this stuff on, I can FEEL them coming off of my skin. So many in fact I have to keep rinsing my hands to stop from spreading them all over my body. I found 4 days was too long and do it every 3 days and I also leave it on my head for 8 hours just like the rest of my body. Ironing my sheets before bed and ironing all the clothing I will be wearing that day have also helped enormously! So I am incredibly hopeful that soon this nightmare will end for me. The other benefit of that concoction is it closes up my MRSA lesions in a matter of a couple of days. So it must be killing the mites in them to let them heal w/ my normal antibiotics and no trips to the ER. I will let you all know if I do end up mite free...good wishes to all of you!

I felt really bad because a friend of complained he was itchin in the night but he didn't know why. I felt bad and told him to get checked by doctors for scabies. Worst of all, i think I gave it to him. After a month of rashes, i believe it is under control now. The only problem is i am now exposed to people and work furniture most likely infested...

My solution is I purchased sulfur powder (annotated by the Romans as a cure for scabies) in the pharmacy and rubbed it all over my body. Then i used Vaseline to seal the sulfur an I kid you not, my rash began clearing the next day! You must clean all you items n you can use the sulfur everyday because it is harmless to your body because it is composed of large amounts of sulfur!

Thank you for sharing this! Do you have to ask the pharmisist for the sulfur powder, or is it out on the shelves in the store area? Also how long do you leave it on your skin? Do you shower it off? Any info helps us all who read and post on this board...thank you!!

Sebastian,
Please go to the imidacloprid thread here in topix. The key to my cure after nine months was Advantix II for dogs over 55 pounds and ivermectin 1.87% horse paste. I know, this is rather out there. But it cured me and I thought I would have those mites forever and said what the heck and tried it. After doing all the other stuff that didn't cure me and I just kept getting sicker and sicker with the mites. Best of luck to you!!!
Would you please outline exactly how you used both the Advantix II and Ivermectin horse paste? I'm going crazy with itchy skin and am willing to try anything at this point.

I brought two syringes of horse wormer containing ivermectim today, i intended to take enough for 200kgs bodyweight but pushed on the syringe too hard and squirted the full syringe down my throat. Enough for 600kg's bodyweight, so side effects are slightly light headed, but otherwise ok. Just applied strong dose of Perm to my whole body. I'll be more careful with the other syringe of wormer.

Hi,
I don't believe ALL my mites were dead after taking the "prescription" Stromectol. I did it two times. One week apart both times. So, for one month, I did the prescription kind.
Now, I am doing the horse paste - 1.87% Ivermectin Horse Paste.
The worst problem I am having is my hands/fingers were FULL of mites. They have been SO painful that touching ANYTHING hurt!!! I have at times 10 bandaids on my fingertips! They like the hands, as we touch everything. Even the other sores on our body, scratching, etc.
I think that might be a question for your pharmacist and for yourself to see where you are, physically.
I still have little mites coming out of my skin as well. So does Patty. So ... it is going to mostly be up to "you" as to when "you" think it is safe.
It also depends on how LONG you have had the critters. Patty has had hers 1 year, me, I have had them for 3 years and just got diagnosed with Morgellons Disease. It is still a mite - the CDC has NOT come out with ANY type of report as to exactly what it is since 2006 when they first started their study. So ,.. how long have you had then? If it is only a short time, then you might be okay. Others of us have been infected for SO long. If only you knew HOW HARD it was to get my Dr to PRESCRIBE THE STROMNECTOL!!!! WOW!!! It took 3 WEEKS from the time I asked for the Dr to CALL the insurance company!!! It needed a pre-auth!
Good luck!
IZO
If you will wash your body in lemons pulp and all especially your finger tips you won't have as much pain. it is the larbae and Nymohs of the mites that give us the pain and suffering, the mites just get pregnant. I have suffered with this for over a year and if i didn't wash with the lemons to get the Larvae out i probably would be dead by now. I also use Tea Tree aoil mmixed with baby oil jel at night to rub on my skin. Mix it to your tolerance. I mix it heavier for my body and lighter for my face and around the eyes.
