Scabies started for me in 1978

This is my first post to this or any other scabies forum so I guess this is a coming out of the closet story. I am an intelligent active 59 year old man who first encountered scabies in 1978. I got it from a new girl friend or would have gotten it anyway from the rural community I was living in. At that time it was called the kootenay itch named for the region in BC, Canada where many back to the landers had it. I took it all so seriously....did the kwell a few times...itches came back. Did the kwell some more, lots of wasshing, car, dog etc. I was quite thorough but they always came back. Then I started to notice that after a while no one talked about it anymore but everyone around me had that telltale itch. At one point i had a dream where i couldn't hug people anymore for fear of either giving it to them or getting it back. The bugs never seemed to go away and most but certainly not all of my girlfriends would say I never got anything from you. Some would say they did but most did not and that was my crutch I used to believe that maybe i wasn't speading this dreadful parasite. Then I moved to a healing community in the US and I noticed that after a while everyone seemed to start itching about a month or two after i arrived and then a year later an "official" diagnosis of a young child by a real doctor forced the community to get into gear and treat however pathetically because we all know that it isn't so easy to just treat 30 people once and hope it goes away. I'd keep treating periodically with kwell until I decided that it was just too toxic to continue with and eventually started going to derms to try and get a real diagnosis since many friends and housemates that I know I infected simply refused to admit the truth about their own onset of itching. I saw about 7 dermatologists over the years most of whom barely looked at me from across the room. Talk about a conspiracy of ignorance. At a certain point I just about gave up on trying to protect everyone from me. I am so fearful of spreading scabies that for 30 years I try and protect others one way or another but it's all been to no avail. You know endless mental and physical energy expended to try and protect others from this undiagnosed yet very present problem. Eventually I just let go a bit and I use tea tree 40/60 with witch hazel extract and it almost always helps a bunch to relieve symptoms. The truth of the matter is that I feel I have given scabies to thousands of people over the years through my work as a 3rd world development worker and marketer of fair trade clothing. It's not that fair trade has anything to do with this or the third world. My scabies story started right here in Canada. The strangest part of this whole drama is that my own symptoms which have varied in intensity over the years are as bad as ever now. I have lived and shared this story with countless others who have symptoms but could give a d..n. And these are lawyers, social workers, psychologists, friends. In the end i have been left to carry the load alone for 30 years and the itches, bites and crawling sensations in those particular spots are still playing on my body.

My Dear Friend, My heart goes out to you and thank you for sharing your story. I have suffered for four years and I believe I contracted Scabies from the hospital where I gave birth to my son almost four years ago now. I went to several doctors as well and tried many remedies and prescriptions and I live(d) in fear of spreading this horrible disease. I am in the process, however, I believe in winning the war. I am 20 days into a radical treatment with Imidacloprid and I have been keeping my diary--not so consistently, however on the Imidacloprid thread, here in the Scabies forum. You may want to read the posts there by RK, Angel and Catzilla. I have been following their protocol and seeing dramatic results. I am going there now to share my experiences. God Bless you and I will pray for you.

MelissaKay, Thank you for your kind response.
One of the characteristics of my scabies story is that the infestation is generally kept at a lower level. I am very hygienic, shower every day, clean clothes every day, eat healthy and have generally healthy skin and do not hardly scratch so my scabies generally never presents as "typical" whatever that is supposed to be for docs. However the symptoms of biting, gnawing, crawling, pin pricks etc have been very definite in a coming and going fashion for 33 years. Finding this forum has begun to get me thinking in new directions.
Firstly I am now going to "take myself seriously" as if i haven't what with 33 years of constant worry over infecting others. But now I will no longer let the doubting chorus keep me from my mission which is to first off find a cure for myself and then help others to the degree I can. I have a background in herbal medicine and I am sure that with the right dedication I can get to 98% symptom free...the problem of course is how does one relate to the rest of one's life..all the good friends who will not buy into the understanding that their symptoms (constant itching) is the contagious mite. You know the reality is that for most people the moment they acknowledge that there could really be an issue of contagion and that they then will also have to act, tell others etc is the moment most sane people choose to look the other way. The consequences of acknowledging that they might have gotten a contagious parasite and will now have to deal with it is so much worse than just letting the symptoms be. Of course everyone has a different reaction the mites and for some they are forced to act, while for others the itch can be ignored for a time. I remember countless occasions where I moved in with a roommate and watched how they were...did they itch. The first few weeks I would see that they were just regular seemingly uninfected people and then after maybe 3 weeks they are itching constantly. Out of shame and guilt I would muster the courage to say something " I think I..." and the response...oh I don't have anything unusual.
How confusing all of this has been and because of the particular arrangement of my life it has gone on for 33 years. I feel like a victim of medical malpractice and social abandonment.(event though I keep up friendships with a goodly number). My life has been devastated by scabies. However with the help of other sufferers and ultimately a love for life, nature and a belief in myself and ultimately my own goodness I am returning to this fight with renewed energy to win back my life.

WOW, and here I thought I was infested. I'm so sorry for the hard time you've been having. I had scabies for 2 1/2 years. I tried just about every fix I read about here and on other fourms. FYI, there is alot of spam here so beware and use common sense. What worked for me, and others here, is clove oil "not the leaf but the bud" you can get it at health food stores or online, I use the kind made by Now or Now Foods.... and lysol spray works great on furniture, car, carpets, you have to use it like twice a day till you don't feel those invisiable touches anymore. The clove oil you mix with a carrier oil like jojoba oil. At first I mixed it 50/50 now I use 75% clove oil to 25% jojoba because these things seem invincible. Some people only need to use it once, but I guess I was really infested and they got back on me again. The first time I used the clove oil it was instant relief and they were ALL dead but I had to go to the hospital because I got cellulitus and I was their for 5 days and I think thats why I got reinfested, it seems they can easily get use to a product and become imune to it, I hate these little f---ers! You can use it head to toe but it burns for the first 10 minutes after applying it, I put it on my face, barely touching my eyelashes and I got it in my eyes a couple of times but I'm fine. Take care and let us know how you are doing. No one should ever have scabies for that long.

Look everyone knows that if you have had this for 30 some odd years, not to mention even 4-6 months, that you are long term w SC.

Stop telling yourself that herbs are going to work, read Maudlin's posts in the imidacloprid. Herbal medicine works if you are young and you are naturally going to get rid of this anyways, you will know it is working because you get rid of SC within 3-6weeks. The rest of that is some phony bolony, you know it and recognize it somewhere within your consciousness because if you didn't then why give it to hundreds, thousands without a peep.

Just use the advantix and tell us if it works for you, it might take you even 2 months of treatment.
Why don't you try the Imidacloprid and at the same time you are treating, leave notes to encourage others to try this. I used it after nothing else worked, read the Imidacloprid thread, I used advantix 50-50 mixed with grapeseed oil.

Come on RK, you obviously know that these posters are trolls. Just thought I would mention this to you.
But, I get it, that you want people to try the Advantix and report on it. You will NOT get a truthful answer here, not anymore, anyways.

RK IMIADACLOPRID/ADVANTIX IS FOR DOGS WITH MANGE, IT CAN KILL PEOPLE, I AM SICK OF ALL THE SPAM HERE WHEN THERE ARE ACTUALLY PEOPLE TRYING TO BE RID OF SCABIES AND DONT NEED YOUR SPAM. And I am cured by using clove oil & jojoba.

I will try and find the web site about the cure that scientists found and post it here.

Wow, 30 Years. I can't imagine, and I truly feel for you.
Know that you can be cured, but it will take much longer than a few weeks as the mites/eggs are probably really deep into your skin.

Read all, and right now only, the imadacloprid thread here on topix. After feeling comfortable with knowledge you have learned there, then move around the board to other topics.

Listen to RK. Read all of his posts. He helped me to understand how to finally kill off these mites. Advantix worked, absolutely nothing else did. Nothing else worked! Nothing!! Oh, just in case there are some skeptics out there who think I am involved with the company that makes Advantix, I am NOT.

You will see a lot of crap posted here by people who can make money off of you. Or those who think the natural way is the only treatment - NOT.

Again, read all of RK's posts. And Angel's. And others who have or are using Advantix. Don't use Advantage, it doesn't have permethrin which is necessary for the cure.

I posted my story here and I hope you will post what is happening to you once you begin with Advantix so others can be helped as well.

There are some very not nice people on this board as you will see, so ignore them. We all just pass their posts by.

I truly wish you the best of luck and know that you will be amazed by what Advantix will do to eradicate these sc mites. And you will sleep better and begin to laugh again.

Warmest regards,
Maudlin

Thirty Years,

Whoops. It is spelled imidacloprid not imadacloprid. Search this webboard for imidacloprid...

Maudlin, OMG, I don't understand why your telling prople to use something that is poisonious to humans, it's for dogs with mange. Chemicals do not work for curing scabies. I've been comming here for almost 3 years and actually found the cure here too. Clove bud oil, duh! So why use harmful products. I think YOU are just another spam!!! Or just stupid. That's like Dr's prescribing premthrin which can cause cancer.

Thirty Years,
None of us have heard you share anything about what YOU are doing to make a change. I am 100% proactive in my fight and I believe I will win. As you know, me and several others who have had long term infection or resistant strains are winning with Advantix. Doing nothing is not an option for you. You cannot accept spreading this any further. I can tell you are a kind, caring humanitarian and continuing to spread this insidious disease is incongruous to who you are as a human being. I really hope you will give this a try or get a doctor that can help. Sincerely, Melissa Kay

Is it possible to have scabies for 33 years?

I have gone from reading this website for useful answers to treat scabies I got a month ago, to being directed to all sorts of other websites, recently most notably one about Morgellons, which will scare ou to death until you get your head back on straight. From there I found websites about biowarfare (yes, the government put the bugs on us), to chemtrail (oh those airstrips), to some hookey website where people are writing in about how the textile industry is doing this to us.

Personally, I hugged kids who had already been sent home from school about their poor hygiene. I was told by my friends, their parents, they were being harassed by the school. They say they are suing. That must be why they thoroughly cleaned their house last week, including vacuming behind furntiure, and they ALL got haircuts. MY head lice shampoo cost me $27. I've been to my doctor 3 times...that's 3 bills. I've had to get the p cream twice now, I've bought cleaners, covering for furniture, I've been embarrassed having to tell people why they cannot come over or I cannot go there, and I have already spent about $600 in 2 months. Maybe I can sue who gave it to ME and then call the kids school and tell them they were right! Good deal sending them home with a note about not changing clothes and not showering for weeks at a time!

Maybe if you have scabies for 30 years its because you can't be bothered trying to figure it out and spending what it cost to be parasite free!!!

SURE...next thing you know I'll be reading the Freemasons are plotting agaisnt the world with satanism to spreading mites around the world to they can rule!

HA!!!!

Dear Thirty Years, do you have crusted spots. If so you are really infected bad. You really need to get the Premethrin 5% cream, but I was only infected for about 7 months, just now getting clear and it took me 14 Premthrin treatments, 1 Stromectrol and lyme-sulfur dog bath rubbing into my skin really helped with the biting and crawling sensations. Also, I must had crustations on my scalp, came into contact at hospital where I had my surgery. I am on the amends and I hope for your sake you get the help you need. Many of us has tried different treatments, I also did 1 advantix II on my hands and feet, nothing really happened. So I don't know if this helped, hurt or did nothing. Must keep home clean with bleach water solution, good luck.
