I always get those mites in my ears and several things have gotten the mites out like Aloe Vera and Peroxide but you MUST put ear plugs in to keep them out. I use the childrens green soft ones in the drug store. They are sticky and moldable like sily putty kind of. You can take the ear plugs out but if you start to feel them crawl back in and they will, make sure to put more Aloe Vera in and THEN the ear plugs. Tea tree oil, boiled onion skins, etc works in the ears. Some of the natural stuff that I buy off the internet works good too. I just had a mite crawl into my ear and I put some of that natural stuff on my finger and wiped me ear out and the crawling stopped. The natural stuff that makes them stop crawling on your body makes them stop crawling in your ears too. Prolonged use of tea tree oil in the ears can cause hearing loss and taken internally can be fatal, even with the slightest amount.

The proxide is working but you HAVE to use the ear plugs to keep them out. I'm using that peppermint with emzyms and it kills the mites in the ears. I also spray it on my body when I feel them crawling and it stops it immediately. I also use Mitactin but I think I like the peppermint better. I buy them online. Hope this helps.

I'm just wondering if we're suppose to put Eurax and/or Elimite cream in the ears too? I have before but when you lay on that ear, doesn't it kind of melt and drip into the ear drum and to the back of the throat because I've had those dog gone mites crawl from my ear to the back of my throat. And then I have to use mouth wash to gargle with to kill them back there. What fun!

\ Hi, I was wondering how often do you think I should use the injectible ivermectin and for how long. I wonder if I could smash up and mix with water ivermectin tablets that I already have. It is kinda scary using stuff in your ear not knowing really if it is safe or not. Our doctor doesn't believe us when we tell her she has them in her ear. First they were on her body and I treated her from the neck down like I was instructed. the bugs moved to her scalp. we were told that was impossible. then we treated again, this time her whole body plus her scalp and they ran to her ear and her nose and today in her eyelids. I called the doc again and am waiting to hear back from her. She will probably ignore us. I think some doctors think I am crazy lady because my daughter can't speak but she can communicate with me very well. Just because she can't control her muscles to speak doesn't mean she can't think. Some doctors I know think I am making up what she says lol. It makes me and my daughter sooooo mad. Anyway not sure what I will do next but thanks for all the ideas. |

Hi, do you mean put the ear plugs in even after they are already in there? |
sunflower: the ivermectin in pill form should kill the mites in her ears. but, it seems that the mites are everywhere on her. Could it be a problem with infestation from the bedding? I had that problem really bad. I bought an air mattress and now boil all my bed clothes. Ensure the mattress is covered in vinyl cover and that the pillows are covered in vinyl covers. you must clean the pillow covers every night with bleach and water. clean the floors with bleach and water. wash clothes in 130 degree water. put borax in the laundry and let the clothes soak in hot water. buy the injectible ivermectin and put a couple of drops in her ears. i think sam said that 2scratch used a vinegar solution. you can mix sulfur 10% with lotion 90% and place all over her, but be careful as she may be allergic to the sulfur. you can buy sulfur from americarx.com . jeffers equine sells ivermectin. you can mix some sulfur with warm water and rinse her head with it; it may help with scalp infestation. i use the head and shoulders in the blue bottle and this helps my with scalp infestation. you have to keep the environment clean; otherwise, you will continually get reinfested. do not crunch up pills with water and place in her ear, no way. do not do that. these are just my opinions and some things I have done. please seek the advice of a professional medical doctor. |
|
Hi Sunflower. No. what she means is that she uses ear plugs to keep the mites out of her ears, probably when she is sleeping. Pillows are a huge reinfestation problem. Would be wise to either boil them or buy new ones. Of course, if you plan on using ear plugs, you would have to clean them in hot water, 130 degrees, or change them out frequently. Would not be wise to use ear plugs on your daughter when her ears are infested with mites. these are just my opinions and things I have done. please seek the advice of a professional medical doctor. |

ada, I've put both perm and eurax in my ear canal and rub all over my ears. It doesn't melt because I make sure I rub it into the skin really well and only use a thin layer, so there is no excess meds to melt or drip. From reading your posts, it sounds like you have a heavy scalp infestation. I had it bad in my scalp too, even after my head wasn't itching anymore, they were still in my scalp. One poster said she used 40% urea cream on her scalp to peel the crusts away so the meds would sink in to the skin. Have you tried a thick MSM or sulfur covering on your scalp? |

I was itching so, so bad one night and took a bath in my natural stuff and went straight to the hospital and they admitted me in the Psyc ward and for 8 days I was there and the itching wasn't that bad but it got worse day by day I was in there and when I got home, low and behold, they were waiting for me in the blankets. I got some meds to keep me calm. There was a man that had dementia and he went in my room and wore my shirt for a long time, at first I thought it sure looked like mine then I thought, oh, they gave him one too. When I went to leave, I couldn't find my shirt, he was wearing it. The poor man will get those mites. They are getting in my eyes real bad. I'd just like to wait till they are biting my eyes real bad and go in again but I'm afraid this time, they won't allow me back and I'm afraid these mites could make me go blind before they diagnose me. Has a human ever went blind from them in the eyes. How do Norweigen Scabies, how do their eyes last through the mites?
I'm afraid if I use the Eurax, I wouldn't be cured because they are in the corners of my eyes where I can't put the cream. |

ada, here's my advice, no more baths. I think baths make the mites crawl up to the area that isn't soaking in the water.
It's going to be very, very difficult for you to get diagnosed with scabies since your medical record says you don't have them. I ran into the same problem. All it takes is one doctor to say you don't have it, and all the other docs don't even bother to take you seriously. So I think you're going to have to treat this yourself, without doctors, sad to say. [eyes next post] |

ada, I had Norweigen scabies and could feel the mites crawling in my eyes, nose, mouth, ears. But in the eyeballs and skin under the eyelids is not the right habitat for mites to burrow, so don't worry about going blind. It did not affect my vision at all, so I hope that helps your fears somewhat.
The fact that you got itchier as you were in the same bed for 8 days without a vinyl mattress cover and without treating for the scabies sounds about right. Even if they had a scabies outbreak there from you being there, I doubt they would admit it anyway. I think you probably have them badly in your scalp from the baths. Do you have any rashes on your face or around your hairline? Can you see any burrows? If you want to go natural try the hand sanitizer wipe off method and the strong msm lotion and make sure your scalp and hair are covered. Iver would be your best bet though. |

Hi Anaturkey: Yes, listen to what Sam has said. Ivermectin will help you get the mites out of your eyes. Bill wanted me to tell you to use Betadine. For you to shut your eyes and rub it on the outside of your eyes and eyelids. do not open your eyes. let it sit for a few minutes and then rinse off really good with water. I have never done this but he said it worked for his eyelids and tear ducts. Yes, only take showers and use that msm powder in your shampoo and conditioner. treat your whole body with msm homemade lotion. AND BOIL YOUR BEDCLOTHES, when you can. remember, walmart has the big pots for cheap. |

Sunflower, the mites can be killed in the ear if you put Aloe Vera, peroxide, peppermint w/emzyems, etc. Alot of natural products are used to kill Scabies but the trick is killing them all and keeping them off your body for an entire 3 days to ensure you are rid of them. Just put some natural product like Aloe Vera in her ears and then put the ear plugs in and she'll be a happy camper. If she still feels them in her ears, take the ear plugs out and put some more natural stuff in the ears, repeat until they are out. I find that if they are in my ears, sometimes they crawled down to the back of my throat. I know no one else experiences this but I have. If she has them in her ears, she has the Scabies as bad as I did. Wash as much in the house every day to keep the population down. Watch out, I use to call the docs and complain about things not helping me and my son and they called CPS on me, more than one medical place did this to me and I am a good mother. On this board rant and rave all you want. If you didn't have a child, don't worry what you tell them.

Sam, I've really got the population down with the peppermint w/emzyms. Now I'm trying the Eurax.
Yes, I get a rash and burrows and crooked lines and the docs just said I had a crust on my face because I didn't wash my face but it is gone now Sam, the mites sting my eyeballs really bad when they get real bad. I have heard before the Scabies can cause blindness. The baths help alot for me. I don't think I want to try Bedadine ever. I'll stick with the natural products. I don't use sheets and pillow cases with Scabies, just use the vinal and a blanket. Keep the earplugs in 24 hrs like I do when they are bad. I don't have them in my ears now, the peppermint really helps. |

Anyone e-mail me at adanaturkey8385@webband.com.
Of course if there are people that don't believe I have Scabies somewhere out there so those people can't e-mail me. I'll put my cell phone on here in a few days but right now my ears are covered in Eurax and putting the phone to my ear, I don't see how I can do that cause I'd rub it off that way. |

Right now I feel like a mess---but I am getting better! I have been having red, itchy, scaly, swollen eyes on and off for weeks. I wake up in the morning and they are especially swollen. I had some Clarkia (Hulda Clark tincture from healthfood store $30) so I am putting that on. Instant relief! I also had some cracking behind my ears and some minor wounds (cuts, burns) that got really itchy and I also treated those with Clarkia.

hold on bill... you say you get a week to a month of after applications of betadine--do you mean the scabies still came back after that??? shit...

What up? I just found out that I was not indeed living with G-herpes but scabies for a year and half. Always wondered why the lesions never popped and why they itched so damn much. Didn't notice the tunneling between them either. I feel like a douche. I'm stoked though. Put me to wall. Anyway...was wondering if I hadn't treated this bugger. Could it have spread to my face via scratching my crouch and scratching say my eyes and corners of the mouth?

Scabies 3,
I have been putting my shoes in the freezer for a couple of days. I just alternate my shoes. It seems to work and doesn't ruin the leather. Just be sure to let them defrost for a few minutes before you put them on. I have been putting jackets in the freezer, too, so I don't have to wash them daily. |
