I don't know what to do next. DD and I were infected with scabies at hotel. DD broke out right away (got scabies last winter from kids); she treated herself with permethrin (left from last winter)and got well. I traveled home (across country) and it broke out on me 3-4 weeks later - on back, chest, neck, face and scalp. Went to Dermotologist who said "It can't be scabies because scabies never goes above the neck." He gave me worthless steroid cream for my back and chest. I was very depressed. Next, my DD mailed me her leftover permethrin cream - I applied to entire body, face and tried my best to get it on my scalp (which with my thick hair was next to impossible). Next day - 90% cured, immediate relief on face and body. But, scalp is not cured!! Feel creeping and itching on scalp all the time. My family (who see me suffering and scratching scalp) say to go to another doctor. Now that I'm clear from the neck down, I'm sure next doctor will say "You don't have scabies!"- especially when next dr. hears what first doctor said.
I am losing faith in medical community.
Is there any help?? Should I just give up on doctors and try to get medicine some other way? I am out of permethrin now.

Jeannie. Are you really out of permethrin now? Now let's think about this!!! These stories are all made up in your HEAD, right? Then the permethrin is made up in your head. You have plenty of permethrin. Am I right here?

I was just wondering if you would like a ride in my little red..........

It will help you take your MIND off of your SCALP itching.

Don't worry, the medical community has you just where they want you.

Love and light,

Sorry, Ellen, I thought you were Jeannie, our resident troll. Don't mind me; I'm about ready to kill her.

Just go to the doc and get a script for permethrin, with a few refills. That should help you. Don't leave the doc's office without at least 2 refills on that script.

Thank you, Q-tip. After reading some threads on the board last night, I got the impression this was a troll issue. I realize my first post sounded pretty hysterical. I was trying to put a lot of information into a small space.

My dilemma is that by using Pyrethrin (which I got from my daughter) I managed to kill off the EVIDENCE of scabies (visible bumps) while still having the disease (on my scalp). I don't believe a dr will give me medicine when there is nothing to see right now.

Also, I am puzzled how scabies can be cured on the scalp with Permethrin. I found the cream too thick to apply to the scalp.
I'm not giving up. I can try another doctor, wait until more bumps appear or try to order medicine on the Internet. I'd rather be under a doctor's care. But I will do whatever it takes.

There are alot of things you can do for your scalp.

Number one and most important is ivermectin.

Just do a search on this forum for the word SCALP and you will see many threads come up on treating the scalp.

There are many things you can do for your scalp.

What do you think about cutting your hair really short? Or do you think this is necessary?

Cutting my hair is something I've considered.

Honestly, what's holding me back is that I don't want to expose a beautician to scabies!

It really would make treatment easier. I'd miss my hair, but hair grows.

I will do the search for scalp threads. Thanks for the tip!

No attempt to offend by reposting this stuff on various blogs...
I also have the head lumps and I put ivermectin in drops on my head...it works..
Here is my other posting:1 min ago Some people are misdiagnosed by doctors as having scabies....this post is for those who don't get better no matter how they try.

I got bites after visiting norwegian cruise lines private island. Don't know if it was from sand flea or mites from their little straw market.(my daughter bought a bob marley back pack).

The bites were on our hips and moved to our feet/legs. We used permethrin, etc. many times....those initial bites got better.......then two weeks later..I started getting worse.

I ended up with bites all over my back, stomach, chest...some on arms...on neck, lumps on head.

All my symptoms were matching Morgellons.
However, I believe Morgellons is actually a myriad of things...possibly lymes with a filiary worm...which has been documented.

I prayed and came to the conclusion i needed to use antiwormer plus doxycycline.
Within 24 hours i found another blog that had an actual protocol for getting rid of parasites such as worms..
I've been doing this for a month now and am getting much better. When I took a small microscope to my lesions, there were "threads" of red or black or white or a mixture of them. I've had all the morgellons symptoms. However, these threads move when they are sprayed. After taking antiwormer, they die and don't move when sprayed.

I've had this for 2 months now, but have been on the medicine for 1 month. I've had the lesions, brain fog, leg pain.....extreme fatigue...
Now, I am un the upswing...getting much better.

Just listing this for others who may have been misdiagnosed by docs. docs do not recognize that people in the us can have skin worms. But many do and think it is an external parasite.

It isn't easy getting rid of them, but there are drug protocols that help and work. However, NO doctor will treat you for it or believe you. If you get a microscope and start looking at your sores, and see pieces of "threads" that look red or blue or black or white....you have it. But there is hope.

Here is a link that sells NOTHING, but has many of us who getting help and helping each other.
By the way, I am doing the strongyliasis, filiary, morgellons drug protocol under this link. And again, i believe morgellons is filiary worms of the skin with lymes disease.

OMG..for almost 6 yrs I have been trying to get answers about the bumps and burning sensations and of course itching on my scalp I was told it was acne of the scalp.. then today I go see a walk-in dr... as I was getting red bumps on my body- my back, now my face/neck n chest and was told it was scabies.. she gave me Kwellada-P .. so I thought ummm... what is scabies and how would I get it..the phara. said I probably got it from shaking someone's hand or my work.. ha ha ha.. hugging maybe.. so off I go to scabies on head search and I can't believe what I'm reading.. if only I had thought of this before I might not be where I am now.. thinking I'm going nuts or it was lice..since I'm the only one in the house that has it and has always had it.. after 8 or so specialists.. too many med's trying to resolve this crap and all along permethrin 5% might actually work!... trust me I will do my best to let you know if it actually works... steamed moped my bed/carpets/floors/bathroom, washed everything ..I will be the happiest person if this gets resolved!

I found something that worked. I had them all over my scalp, bites on my ears and they were even planted in my ears. I tried everything and after putting 6 tubes of the flea and tick stuff for dogs on my scalp, they were still biting me. I bought so many different things. One of them is called Scabies Killer. It was delivered to me today and I tried it. First I took a bath with half a gallon of vinegar, dumped pure vinegar on my head, then used the dog shampoo that is supposed to kill parasites, the scabies were still biting my head. I put the Scabies Killer stuff on, it's a two part deal. I put the two products on, and I swear to god the scabies are gone from my scalp. Now this is after almost 4 months of this stuff.

I bought the product from the Scabies Killer website, but also, I found one of the products, it is a natural cleaner type of thing - multiple enzymes that kill the bugs on Amazon, so I can make the recipe myself. Bascially you put the mixed enzyme solution on from head to toes and then let it dry in, and then you put on the oil mixture - they make it with half olive oil, half coconut oil, and then some neem, eucyliptus oil, and tea tree oil. So, I just bought all those oils from Swanson Vitamins online and got them today, so now all I need is the cheap Green Clean enzyme stuff from Amazon and I can make the mix myself. I am going to buy more from Scabies Killer too though. It's about $80 for 3 bottles of each product.

I tried everything and all I was doing was getting sick and poisioned from the toxic stuff. I took two boxes of Stromedel, it didn't do anything. I used the creams, the dog flea and tick stuff.

This is the solution people - this is it and I wish I had known about it before I spent all this money on all of these other things.

Go into Amazon and do a search for "Scabies Killer" and look at the reviews - about 160 reviews - IT KILLS SCABIES, IT IS ALL NATURAL, THIS IS THE ANSWER.

GOD HELP ALL OF YOU, GET WELL SOON.
