I decided to try this in the hot bath last night, because everything else seemed to be just keeping me status quo. I used 2 cups of borax though, because I'm a big guy, a few minutes in, I decided to add one standard bottle of hydrogen peroxide to see if it would help? I don't know the toxicity of either of these, but there was a lot of white looking microscopic specks of scum in the water as I emptied the tub?(dead bugs?) maybe it's just wishful thinking? Anyway, had a good night's sleep (no bites, or crawling) and my skin looks, & feels so good this morning, better then it has in a long time! Especially my hands. I think I'm gonna try the directions here for an all purpose, & laundry soap. Just passing this along, hope it helps. Mike
Tried this once, Then I tried the Borax 1cup, & Peroxide 1cup, hot soak in a bath the other night. No bites, or itching overnight, and I found more smaller (almost microscopic) black specs then usual in the bed, so I believe that helped. Last night I tried Borax 1 cup, & Epsom salts 1 cup, plus 1/8cup of blue Dawn, in a hot soak, & found a lot of microscopic black specs dropping off me as I left the tub! But, I did get a few lingering weak bites,(death knells, I think) just before going to bed, then nothing else all night.

Next, I'm gonna try a hot bath with a pint, & 1/2, of white vinegar tonight, because I read it's good for the skin, plus, antiseptic, & antibacterial as well.

MMM? Vinegar, & table salt. What is MMM? Have you had good luck with this combo? How much of each do you use?

Hey Vann, Thanks for all the tips, you are a fountain of information!:) Keep up the good work, & good luck to ya man!
I roll down the bedspread, then still use the windex to spray the sheets, & pillows lightly, then put the bedspread back, turn on the fan to dry it some, then take my hot bath or shower, turn off the fan, and go to bed, it may be killing me but I can get 4-5 itch free, crawl free days, before changing my bedding.

After trying the borax, & peroxide bath, I find the borax, epsom salt, & a little dawn liquid, bath to be more effective,,, plus with less skin irritation.(as per directions in post #21 above ^)

In the previous post, I meant "itch free, crawl free nights".
Next, I would think the cedarside smells good? But I guess it's overbearing. Please let us know how the new stuff in that link works, if you try it?

I change my sheets everyday. Its a hassle, but rather be safe than sorry. I hate these mites and been living with them for 5 months now. Ive tried premethrin with no luck, and still have some left over. I forgot to mention I am using the premethrin on the areas that are most affected, only did this the other day, and will do it next week one more time, and will continue using my scabies killer products for weeks. Will not mix the products together as I dont know if it will cause a reaction to the skin. I will keep everyone updated in my post that I started. Glad I posted here on topix. Lots of great info, and makes me have some hope! Good luck to all

Itching Guy,
I am dusting my sheets with D-E. I put it in a salt shaker and I find that it does not pose a problem breathing it in. It falls right where I shake it like just like salt. It also does not puff up when sitting on it. It acts relatively heavy just like salt.

We are going to WIN THIS BATTLE !!! We will be free of this monster soon - one way or the other. We WIN when we work as a team!

Today I am ordering that great little USB Port microscope discovered by Ben.

I want to see what it is that I'm fighting and compare it to the complete list of mites here:

I'll post the photos when I find something.

Thanks for that, I have DE on order, and I was wondering how to spread it properly without putting on too much, or too little, or having to worry about inhaling it. I also plan on taking it internally.

Mike,

WHY would you take DE internally? Do you think you have worms? That is the only reason why you would take it internally that I can think of.

PS) In a salt shaker, you have total control over how much you sprinkle around. You have to shake it vigorously to get it out, and it falls like hard salt. IMO zero danger of breathing it in.

I thought it was also used to get rid of mites? or any parasite? Beides I read it's good for arthritis, nails, bones, hair growth, & more, read the reviews here:http://www.earthworksheal th.com/human-use-testimonials. php
By the way thanks Vann for the application info, but I read it's tough on vacuum cleaners when you go to clean it up. Mike

Mike,
I'm glad you found this link. However I am understandably >>extremely skeptical.<< I honestly think these testimonials have to be pure bunk, as in a snake oil salesman's pitches. However it can't hurt and is really cheap to try out. What conditions do you have that we can evaluate. I know that DE kills internal parasites and just this alone could be the reason why there are so many reported health benefits. We can all be suffering from internal parasites and not know it. It could also be providing essential minerals we don't normally get. Both major plusses.

DE Grows hair? Relieves arthritis? Boosts energy? Cures back aches, dry skin, dandruff? Eliminates pain? Corrects high blood pressure & high cholesterol? Makes fingernails grow? Cures Zits? Clears age spots? Eliminates migraine headaches? Clears blocked sinus? Increases bone mass (osteoporosis )? Replaces lost cartilage in joints? Naturally lose weight?? Vastly improved skin texture? No more itching? Cures depression?? Cures Colitis? Cures psoriasis? Cures toenail fungus? Improves Lupus??? Hot flashes?? Cures menstrual cramps? Improved Bowells?? Improves Blood Sugar levels?? Helps varicose veins? Eliminates Doggy Odor??

Here is the corrected link:
http://www.earthworkshealth.com/human-use-tes...

My wife started on it this morning, as she has arthritic aches & pains. I have a bald spot on my head and somewhat high blood pressure, so I will see if DE helps.

I will start a new thread on this subject, lets keep it updated for the benefit of all.

Congratulations Vann!! I am very happy for you.
BTW, where did you buy the Grapeseed Oil from?
Can the mixture be applied to the scalp?
No laundering the sheets daily?
What about borax on the carpet and vaccuming?
Did you take any DE internally?
Sorry, I have several questions.
Thanks for your help.

Vann,

Does the 4X a week shower mean shower approx every other day using solution everyday?

The herbalist has me on BP-X 6 pills a day thinking that will work. I am ordering DE right now.

Ive been using DE for 5 days now and my results are improving, my "spots" are drying up. I also notice I am not as itchy as before thanks to DE! The past two days I have increased my DE internal intake from 1 TSP to 2 TSP. I believe that has made a difference for me. I have also been applying Grapeseed Oil with DE as a mixture to apply to the spots. The little [email protected] seem to hate that mixture. I have also began drinking Sweet Acidophilus milk. I am not a big milk drinker if I had my choice Id drink 2%, but Sweet Acidophilus has more positive benefits and I think tastes better and easier on the digestive system.

My plan is to continue to use Grapeseed Oil and DE until the spots disappear and continue DE forever.

I have also put DE in pans and put the casters of my bed in it. I spray bleach on pillows and mattress weekly. Once that dries I spray with OdoBan (available at Sams Club in gallon jug w a premixed 32 oz spray bottle).

My bedding and pillow get washed in hot water w laundry soap weekly.

I will win this battle!!

I check this site almost daily for any new info or suggestions that may work too.

Vann, you are a wealth of knowledge, I've been taking DE ( 2 tbs.) daily and it's been working great for my arthritis and scabies don't bite much when I'm using DE internally, but I have to admit that I forget to take it alot but I think that will change after reading all the info. here. I thought I got rid of them so I quit using A&H, now I have them back, this sucks! Thank-you Vann, I'll be getting some grapeseed oil asap

I COULD NOT get rid of my scabies and wearing long sleeves during hot summer to cover the scars was really depressing me. I just happened to be on facebook and found through a friend and aromatherapist who claimed her natural essential oil blend would help. I bought the stuff (about $10)... within 3 day the rash was noticeably better and after 2-3 weeks completely gone w/out and lasting marks or scars! It was a GODSEND!!! the facebook is http://www.facebook.com/profile.php... Hope this helps
