So I have used permenthine and ivermectine over 10 times already with no success. I don't have much money. I actually plan suicide already. So I'm going to buy sulfur soap (10%) and mix bleach in water, if these doesent help, Im going to make suicide for real. I dont have much to lose anyway, and I rather be dead then live with scabies.

I was there. I had those thoughts. You can get through this. I don't know you or your full situation but I know every life is precious. I'm not religious, but I believe in make believe. You have the power to rewrite and remake yourself.

I tried a lot of things, but permethrin + ivermectin was my cure. Everyone is different. I will say that more important than the treatments was my mental headspace. I saw much greater strides when I believed what I was doing was actually curing me. It turned out to work. That philosophy has transcended my every day life.

You are eternal love and divine abundance. Please, know that from someone who had the same thoughts... Who thought suicide would be better than their current symptoms... There is an answer waiting for you. This will only make you stronger, make you humble yourself to the beauty that is all the life that surrounds you. You will find the cure that works for you. You have to believe that.

Please. Enjoy the gift that life is, you are worth it, and you will find salvation without suicide.

How long have you had this? It could be a different mite, besides scabies. I agree with scabiesfree. I felt the same way. This shall pass.

I am right there with ya! I have been dealing with this for 6 months. I can't take it any longer. And just when I think I am getting better...it gets worse! I think I have beaten it a few times but some how just get reinfested again. After washing clothing and bedding I don't feel like they are dead. I feel like they are still living in the clothes because they make me itch. I've tried everything, well except for sulfur. I also think I got reinfested from touching things in the garage that I threw out there when I first contracted scabies! I know I have it again because after that I broke out with 3 big bumps in a row on my hand. How the hell could they of survived 6 months in the garage?? I am so over this. I will be buying sulfur soap on the first and see if that helps.

It's because the infection is inside you, it is an infection that mites pass to humans and after the mites are gone you are left with that. The infection that is most common and a lot of insects carry now and pass to humans is bartonella. Bartonella can give similar symptoms to scabies so you never know just when you got rid of the mites and the bartonella symptoms just make you think you still have them.

In Colorado Collembola are all over the place. They are in all the grass. In my neighborhood park you can see them jumping in the grass and when you walk through the grass they jump all over. If your wearing shorts they will make your legs itchy. When that happens you just take a shower and scrub that area with soap and the itch goes away immediately, it's more like a mild allergic reaction. The kids of the neighborhood and a lot of other people play in the grass all the time and it isn't any kind of problem.

That's because Collembola don't infest humans.

If your sleeping with them and can't figure out how to fix the problem in your house then that could be an issue. Normally they won't go inside a house unless there is something rotting there to eat. If your place is a giant moldy mess that invites collembola then why can't you fix that or why don't you leave.

Don't listen to Fred, get a microscope and some glue traps. Getting reinfested by clothing in storage is how I figured out it wasn't scabies. SOAK YOUR CLOTHING! It really, really helps.

Fred is right, the mite infection is inside your body, not on the surface. I had it really bad and tried all the suggested treatments. I was cured. Suicide is not a answer. Abendazole and Prazquantel cured me after oral ivermectin at 3x my weight based dose every eight days for one month failed me. You've got to focus on killing the population living under your skin. Topicals won't reach them in the burrows. Please don't give up.

What did you do to get the dormant cyst forms out of you? And what did you do to treat biofilms? What about the central nervous system infection? You're going to need a treatment that crosses the blood brain barrier to treat CNS infections. This stuff also gets in your bone marrow and to remedy that 8-12 months of treatment is needed or it will eventually come back.

The reality is that it is the infections that the mites carry that are the real problem and the mites can be dealt with easily once the complexity of the problem is actually understood.

Please help me i think i have scabies that wont go away.
I got a ring like patch on my right leg in april that was itchy so i treated it with an antifungal cream that made it subside but was still visible.
Then in late may i started to get a few small itchy bumps on my arms and legs that seemed to spread over time, i thought it was another fungal infection so i used sulphur soap and antifungal cream spot application for a week, when the bumps didnt go away i started to become really paranoid and looked up everything on the internet.
I thought i had hiv or std and got myself tested all of which came out as negative Thank God!
I was able to see a dermatologist last july13 and she said it was just an irritation and asked me to use a mild collagen soap from her clinic and prescribed citerizine (anti-histamine) 1x a day and to put betamethasone cream on the bumps. 2 weeks into this the rash spread like wildfire and it was red and very itchy, it spread all through out my body except for my neck, shoulders, upper back and face.
When i went back to the dermatologist last july 27 she said it could be scabies and asked me to apply 1 part 5%permethrin 1 part hydrodex lotion from the neck down twice a day without taking a bath for 2 days then stop and bathe for another 2 days then repeat the 2x a day for 2 days application of the creams which i did. My 5yo son who sleeps beside me every night did not get any rashes though so i had a doubt that it was scabies although i continued with the treatment she reccomended.
I threw away my mattress, washed all my pillows, beddings, clothes. I sanitized all surfaces and changed to fresh towels and beddings every day. I was already taking the anti histamine tabs twice a day.
i also started using sulfur soap since july 30 because i read somewhere that it helps.

But the rash was still there and its getting worse.

I decided to apply only the permethrin 5% last sunday august 4 which would have been my fifth application and took a shower the next day. I asked my mom and son to apply the perm just in case.
Monday and tues a take a bath twice a day with the sulfur soap.
And just tonight i noticed that the rash on my legs looks dried up and scaly, my thighs and arms still had the bumps. my palms are getting scaly and is flaking off.
All of which are still very itchy that sometimes i want to peel my skin off especially at bedtime.
I have red that it usually takes about 2 weeks before it all clears up.

But now i have these red rashes on my neck and shoulders and new ones on my stomach that i didnt have before.

I have been sufferring with this for almost 2 mos now. I no longer go out of the house or even my room because i look like a monster and i dont want anyone else to get infected.
I think that this disease is taking a toll on me emotionally, physically and even mentally. I sometimes want to set my skin on fire.
I dont know what else to do and im really scared that even my face and scalp will get rashes.

I live in manila and ive gone to all pharmacies but there is no ivermectin here
Please help me.
Please.

Go to a feed/farm supply store or get a catalogue from one. Ask for horse or cattle wormer.

Incidentally: careful how you choose a doctor. Went to the Cleveland Clinic (a $800 trip) and got the dermatologist from hell. Rude, arrogant, ignorant. I found to my horror that I knew more about scabies than she did.
