I can't live with it anymore.

Got it sometime early July from I dont know who tbh.
Too many factors, went to a hospital, my nieces came who had chicken pox, apparently my sisters man had it and she came over, also my brothers family said they had problems after he visisted my sister.
So it is a big fat circle of who da hell brought this to me.

Quality of life is just so low right now I'm depressed. Am starting School again in september and I don't want this parasite from hell eating at me.

I tried permethrin once, it was actually pescribed for my mum but used what was left. Next day I went to the GP and he gave me some Malathion, eczema cream and some steroid cream. I only used the malathion several times for 24 hours on skin sometimes more. I cleaned my bedroom and vacuum the rest of the house as much as I could but my room was my priority. Washed bedsheets at 90* with regular washing powder and hanged them outside since we dont have a dryer.

I did this several times, I shower with exfoliating gloves and shower gel, wash my hair with regular cheap shampoo. Our boiler dont work so I have to use cold water to shower sometimes I preheat water with the kettle and use that along with the cold shower.

The itching never stopped, its a big fat curse I tell you.
Please help me kill this thing off before I start school.

I also put 90% of my clothes in plastic bags around 2 weeks ago still havent opened them because I still have this parasite from hell. Have an appointment for the GP in september, the skin specialist at my surgery. I didn't hope I would still have it by then but it looks like I will.

BTW its all over my body and has even reached my face especially around the chin thats where it's worst atm.
Other bad areas, the elbows, knees, ankles, back, armpits, sides, stomach and a little in the groin. These days am starting to feel it in my scalp so I am thinking of cutting all my hair off.
Dont worry am a man but still it took a lot of months to grow my hair this big :P
Also at some of the places I see things that look like warts/moles i.e on the sides just below the armpits. Never had those before so I am guessing they are related to the scabies.
I can't tell you anymore than that.
Sorry for the long posts but I just can't think straight with this...

A few of us here are trying clove oil. Here is a link to a study in 2010. It needs to be diluted in oil though. Not full strength.

Most people think that their treatment isn't working because they constantly reinfect themselves. Scabies can survive a wash. Boil or iron your clothes. Wash in borax and arm & hammer in 120 degrees for a half hour, then dry on hottest heat for an hour. Plastic cover on mattress and pillows, spray mite spray on shoes, couch, bedding, car, etc. Bleach water on combs, keyboard, etc. Do all this while treating yourself. You have to do it daily until you are cured or you risk getting them back again. Clove oil can burn your skin so it has to be diluted 5 to 1. I ended up with bad oozing burns from it.

Maybe the people around you haven't made the treatment in a correct way. That could be one possibility.

Vanessa Williams - The permethrin cream actually causes an immune reaction that appears just like scabies, and even worse. I only had a few bumps with a little itching, it was more the crawling that bothered me, but after using permethrin, bumps came up everywhere. And they were extremely itchy. You have to a) let the lotion kill the bugs and the eggs that hatch by doing two treatments, one week apart. Each time, of course, wash your clothes and bedding and anything else you may have infected. It is easiest to avoid reinfestation if you can leave your house for a 3 day period after the treatments, this way you can be sure you are not getting it from home again. Then, you have to wait it out. I had a reaction to the permethrin that lasted for nearly 3 months, although it was worst from 2-4 weeks after my second and final treatment. But it did go away, and I am cured.

Yh I basically still have it and to be honest I am starting to think this is a life time thing, permethrin didn't do nothing for me, I went through several tubes of it and have just given up for the last month. I don't remember the last time I put on the cream really. I believe its my family reinfecting me and you cant escape them, I also believe the treatment is ineffective and think there is a possibility of the mite being resistant. I live in a big city and the mite came from someone who works at a hospital increasing the chance of it being a resistant form of the mite.

The biggest problem for me is the face, I have crawling feelings on my face and head as well as lots of spots. I Can feel it right now its annoying me and it dont look good.

When I came across this site and saw what people had written such as having scabies for years and treatment not working, I thought it was rare and unlikely to happen to me. Guess I was wrong and the doctors are wrong as I have it on my head and face which they say DONT happen.

I am back after a year from my first infection of this parasite!

Anyways I feel itchy again, especially my head and face. This is the place most bothering me. The rest of the body itches too but I can resist that to some degree.

Strange thing is throughout the winter and spring, my scabies was almost non existent. It didnt effect me much, I dont even remember itching.

Anyways then summer comes and boom, full blown scabies all over again.

WHAT IS HAPPENING!

We have had scabies for 3months. We have done All the cleaning routines. Spent pounds and pounds on products. Used loads of permethrin cream. We have tryed clove oil, tea tree, oil of neem, sulfur soap, washed clothes on hot wash with broax and we just keep getting it back. I am at my wits end! I just dont know what to do, its changed my life. Cant go to the hairdressers, cant have my nails gone, cant enjoy beauty treatments. Feel so depressed. Our child is special needs and they have it too! Not as bad as me and with all the things I am using I am keeping it at bay but there are marks where they have been scratching. I know they have it! The Doctors are rubbish!
Can anyone help? Will this ever go away? Its winter now and I am worryed as to what it will be like in summer as they like heat. Its a hellish nightmare!

Go on Amazon and get Ivermectin Horse Paste and Durvet Pour on for Cattle. You'll spend about $30. Take the horse paste internally, use the Durvet on your skin.

If you can afford it, buy the Ivermectin injectable and the Eprinex pour on.

There are threads here telling you how to use it... "Ivermectin Dosage" and "Eprinex" or "Durvet".

Eprinex didn't work for anyone except liars. Your advice about the high volume of Ivermectin is only going to make things worse because of the negative effects on the liver. You don't know anything about what you are talking about. It is really stupid advice.

Look FRED, I'm all for the natural cures. I'm doing a huge anti-candida cleanse to rid myself of the malassezia yeast/"morgellons" that scabies left me with. I know all about raw foods, juicing, herbs, and everything else. I did 6 weeks of essential oils and they kept the population low, but never eradicated the problem and gave me a yeast infection on the surface of my skin that felt like scabies.

Sometimes the scorched earth method is of value. Some chemotherapy works in some cases, some raw food works in others.

Eprinex worked for me, if you didn't try it, then you shouldn't call someone stupid or a liar.

Ivermectin is not nearly as toxic as perm, and should be the western med response to the scabies problem. I'm no fan of western meds, but there are times and places for every response.

You do your advice no credit when you are dogmatic and combative.

Hey SummerSufferer!

If you still have Scabies, here is the solution for your problem: Infectoscab 5% Creme. Use this and the itching will go away forever. You have put this creme on every part of your body. If your head itches too, then use it on the head as well. Believe this creme really works.
I suffered from Scabies 6 months and it was the worst time of my life. I know how you feel.

Sulfer soap.. Wash 3 undies and all outfits in boiling water while doing your treatment.. Clean the hell out of your House too and leave for 3-4 days.. Scabies can't live without a human for over 3-4 days so hopefully they'll all die by the time u come home.. To prevent re infestation, make a mix of 1 c coconut oil w 1 tablespoon tea tree.. Mix an apply some all over body every night for at least a week.. And give the rash time to heal too it takes a while... Permetherin can irritate the skin and make it seem worse..it can take up to 3 weeks for the rash to heal... Im not a doctor, but I've done alot of research on what has worked for others... And most importantly don't scratch!!! That loofa might be making things worse as scratching spreads the mites.. Throw or boil it... Best of luck!!!
