Do I wash them after I apply the 2nd application
of Eurax then wash my bedding and clothes right after, the same day or do I wait until the 3rd day? All the washing of clothes & bedding should be before I take off the Eurax, right?
They don't give specific directions in the pamplet. How do you all do it, wish way worked? I've only used Elimite Cream before.

Hi!
I have used Eurax 4 or 5 times. I would do whatever makes you feel comfortable. I changed my sheets every night because I feel cleaner and safer that way plus I sleep better.
I didn't bath but I did change those sheets. Good luck! Mis

Okay, I should have said, when I use the Eurax, on what day do I wash the bedding and all the clothes. It says to apply the Eurax and wash. Then it says in another sentence to wash the clothes and bedding but it doesn't say which day.
Everything must be washed before you take the cream off on the 3rd day but on what day do I wash all those clothes? This is important because I put the cream on last night and I want to get rid of the itch so I can bring my son home.
I didn't want him to get it again so I sent him to Florida to my daughter's and I'm way up in Washington State(above Oregon). Thanks for trying to help. I really appreciate it.

Hi Anaturkey. Well, it doesn't really matter if you took the medicine or not. What matters is that you only should be wearing your clothes ONE TIME. Then, take them off, put them in the 21 quart pot; fill 3/4 up with water. Put it on the stove and cook your clothes. then wash your clothes. You wash your clothes every day. You wash your bedclothes every single day. Boil first, if you can. It doesn't matter if you are taking the topical meds or not. Just keep clothes clean all the time. Boiling them will kill the mites and I think it kills the eggs, too. The eurax will help with killing the mites under your skin. But, remember that the eggs hatch out all the time, and the small ones come out of your skin and get into your clothes and bedclothes. The topical meds do not kill them all, especially if you are heavily infested.

If I were you, I'd try treating with Revolution first. Twice a month. It's systemic and last about 25 to 28 days in the system.

1.Take them to the vet for Ivermectin injections. If your dog has white feet or is a herding or Collie breed, you can't give them Ivermectin or Dectomax without a test first. Some breeds lack a brain barrier and Ivermectin is toxic to them, even deadly. Talk to your vet.

2.Order some Revolution or Advocate from Deadfleaz.com .Best price and dependable. Or get it from a vet, at least enough for 1 treatment each until your order arrives. I prefer Advocate but Revolution is Ok too and a bit safer. Apply Bi-monthly. Ok to give either of these to any dog or cat. If you trying to save money. You can purchase the large dog size and eyeball the drops according to the pets weight.

3. If your pets develope symptoms like bumps, intense scratching or licking, crusts you may have to get super aggressive.

And they need baths. Change their bedding daily.

Always consult with a trained professional for treatment advice.

Keep your dogs and cat as isolated as possible until you are cured. No bed and couch cuddles for awhile. It's not worth the risk of passing the mites back and forth. The main goal is a cure for all. The mites will die but you have to keep at it.

I know you can do it.

I just can't bring myself to boiling all those clothes. That would be like 7 loads or more for all three of us.

It's usu. just my daughter and me now but my son came for 4 days, the holiday you know.

I'm wondering if I screwed the Eurax Treatment up. At the 24 hour mark, I'm almost done washing all the clothes, the 7 loads, the other 40 some bags are in the shed before I began washing the 7 loads. I washed everything in the house(I have all linoleum and commercial tile flooring. I took the carpet out during the last infestation). I washed the floors, electronic items, wooden furn, appliances, counters, boxes of food on counter, bottles, phones, etc. with the peppermint. Rinced the dishes in the drainer with water, washed the dishes in lavender dishsoap. I put on my 2nd coat of Eurax BUT didn't change my clothes. I didn't know if I was suppose to change my clothes since I couldn't bathe(the instructions say just to apply a 2nd coat) and have smelly underarms. How do you all put up with the smelly underarms. This doesn't sound right. Anyway, after I applied the 2nd coat, I feel them moving around. Did I screw up? My loads seem to be getting warm water at least since I couldn't get the water heater because I had to pay a $600 plane ticket for my son to Florida. I have the bleach but I didn't use it this time. Do I clean the entire house, wash the 7 loads, keep the same infested, smelly underarmed clothes on, etc. again tomarrow? Oops, it's already tomarrow. Better get some sleep.

I couldn't finish the treatment with Eurax for 2 reasons. 1) They were crawling on my eyelashes and when I'd lay on my side, the creme would wipe off my face and ears and they'd start their crawling. 2) I'm horribly allergic to the Eurax. It seemed like my body is on fire from the first time I put it on, my feet get beet red and vainy, the palms of my hands are so scriveled up like strawberrys and the back of my hands look like they have sparkely finger polish on them.
So, now what?

From what a pharmacist told me, thats how Eurax actually works. your skin will turn red and soon the redness will disapper. I used Eurax last week, and my derm told me to apply it morning and night same day. and i did this for two days straight. And then the crazy 48 hr wait of no showering. But it did work, well for a day and a half and then i got it back lol this is a crazy disease. Its truly breaking me and my family apart.

I have been infested with Demodex mites (Scalp and body) for 11 months now. I have seen 4 useless Demotologist who knew little about the condition. I am schedule to see another Demotologist tomorrow, whose appt cleark surprise me when she stated that yes they do treat demodex mites with Eurax. I have called about 20 demotologist and none either treated the condition or even knew what it was.
My immune system is killing them but they keep repopulating. Has anyone ever used EURAX to treat infestation of Demodex of the scalp and body. Please share. I am at my wits end.
