I have seen 4 doctors- first one told me I had a fungal infection(at this point I only had about 3 'spots',) second one told me hives and gave me a shot, third one told me she didn't know but it wasn't hives and maybe it was scabies and prescribed permethrin 5%(at this point it was on my belly, boobs, and a few spots on my back), fourth doctor told me he didn't know(by this time it has spread to my arms and legs) and prescribed my son euren 1%(there is no such drug- he was an idiot)-my son had a few spots but nothing major- his has since cleared up.

We are all living in a hotel right now(2 adults 3 kids) while we wait to close on our house and after washing clothes, towels, and linens everyday(@$3.00/load), I am sick of this. I am not better- it has spread even more. I am the ONLY one that has this. It has been 4 weeks. My husband and I sleep in the same bed and we are all together all day long. Yes it itches.

Sure looks like scabies.
I was sharing a bed with my partner and he never got it, nor did my kids.
I think perhaps if someone's immune system is low they are more susceptible.
You do need more than the permethrin creme alone, it is not enough to fight this, just one weapon.
Have you tried taking ivermectin, either from your doctor if they prescribe it, or online, or a horse wormer from a country store?
Have you tried putting some bleach in your bath?
There is so much advice on this forum.....
Good luck....

Thank you all for your replies. I find it comforting in a way because if I know what it is then I can possibly fix it. My primary doctor does not prescribe ivermectin and so I have an appt in 2 days with the dermatologist. I am praying so HARD that they will help me beat this or I will be dr shopping until I can get what I need. I have added sulfur soap and I have also been using Eurex 10% which I had to beg for from my sons ped. It all burns and I have new bumps everyday. I have read til early morning on this site and I have been able to keep the itching to a minimum. This really can bring a person down. The morning after the first permethrin treatment my husband found me crying my eyes out in the bathroom and felt utterly helpless. I love him so much- he is still pretty much convinced its not scabies but I still won't let him touch or hold me and that's been hard for both of us.

Hi, I'm not a Dr. but it sure looks like it could be scabies. I had 2 Dr. one said allergy to detergent, the other said nothing and gave me bottle of permethrin no instructions etc. the third a dermatologist said i didnt have it but i was suffering from delusional parasatosis(sp) so thats what we have for ignorant Doctors. It will take a lot of reading but read everything and try what you think makes the most sense to you basically its trial and error. I do know from personal experience bleach baths help get rid of the lesions 1 cup per bath as does vinegar apple cider. Also sulfur soap daily amazon- grisis, leave on 10 min while scrubbing every part of your body with a good exfoliator. There is so much more, the cleaning of environment etc. Its a long hard road, at least for most of us it has been. 2 years for me so far, but I'm in a better place then ever still not done yet though :(. Read and read and read.......... good luck. Ivermectin is good if you can get it, try taking raw garlic 3 cloves daily it takes time to work, i slice it up and take it like pills swallow only. also Golden seal i find quite helpful. so much information, so much to do..........very tiring. Bless you. oh and one more thing that works well is cetaphil slather it on and rub it in thoroughly use disposable gloves always when showering. Just my thoughts......

I have a red bumps on me now for about a month. It started on my ankles and then some on my arms. I went to the dr. and they told me poison ivy. Thjey gave me prednisone, but when that was finished boy it came back even worse. It spread all over my back, stomach, thighs, and butt. Went back to the dr. and he told me it was an allergy and gave me more prednisone. Each time I go to the dr. I mwntion scabies and they say no that it doesnt look like it and if I did have it my 9 month old son would too since he is always all over me. Now I'm done with the prednisone again and I am more itchy than ever. I have a blister on the palm of my hand and on my wrist. My bikini line is covered and so is my butt. I can't handle this anymopre. I might ask for the treatment anyway but I dont have insurance to cover the prescription. I feel so helpless and Im scared to touch my son. What do I do, Do the burrows itch as well?

I have the same spots as shown in your photo of breast rash. I keep going to docs but no one thinks it is scabies. Dermatologist even did a biopsy which revealed nothing per the lab. And the wound still hasn't healed in 7 mos.
Also keeps recurring on stomach in cyclical pattern.
I think I got it sleeping on a couch in a Comfort Inn for 3 weeks.(I'm not fond of hugging or touching lately since initial HIDEOUS breakout 2 years ago.) I went thru 4 tubes of premethrin cream head to toe- night after night, prednisone, poured straight bleach on the tunnels and blisters after ripping them open. I was in torment.
Now I get it primarily on the breasts. I think it gets worse when I stay in a sweat soaked bra for hours so I end up changing every time I sweat.
No one else in the family has had any problem, tho I have terrible reactions to poison ivy, chigger bites, even mosquito bites get huge blisters and develop heat - all require ER visits due to swelling of hands, face, tongue.
I need to get rid of this. I bought a new mattress, begging, couches, all new clothes, replaced carpet with hardwood.
Is there some specialist doc that is better to try? I've seen Family Med, Allergist, and Dermatologist.

Is it possible to print the pictures to take to the dr?? Mine did go away with the permethrin and the shot from the dermatologist. I can't remember what it was but I put it in an earlier post. I was staying at Value Place hotel for about a week when it started. It finally went away after we moved out(8 weeks). Scabies- if that's what it was- is absolutely horrible. I hope you are able to figure it out. As of Dec the scars have finally faded. Every time I see a tiny bump, I freak out. It's a life long paranoia for sure.

Jeez, now I'm freakin' out! The rash I have (mostly on the stomach and chest) looks just like the pictures above.

This is my 1st visit on this forum, so I have a lot of reading to do. I haven't seen a doctor yet, and I would prefer not.

I'm about to get my CDL A license and drive commercial trucks. Companies dig deep, real deep, in your medical history before hiring you. I have no doubt that if they read 'scabies' on my chart, my application will quickly hit the trash can.

After researching all evening, I'm pretty sure this is scabies.. I just hope I can get rid of it w/out prescription medicine, and very quickly.

Don't jack around with scabies!! Sounds like you have it and I should know.*This is something so traumatic and horrifying that you wouldn't wish it on your worst enemy! Furthermore, the mental torture is almost as bad because NOBODY believes you. They all think you are "delusional" (until they finally have the horrifying encounter themselves). I battled it for almost a year and tried literally dozens of so called remedies and spent a few thousand dollars when you add it all up. All with NO RESULTS! These monsters are HIGHLY RESISTANT - remember they have been around 200,000 years longer than humans!! Thanks be to God I finally FOUND the solution. You cannot get what you need from 99% of the doctors here in the USA because they have NO IDEA what you have and are afraid to prescribe what you need because of inexperience. If you are serious about getting rid of this horrible SCABIES PROBLEM here is what you MUST do to quit wasting time and money. You need to either order THESES TWO ITEMS from someone in MEXICO or pay the plane ticket and go there yourself to get it!(*Anything short of this and you will be battling this continual nightmare without and end in sight; even to the point of losing hope). Of course, if your doctor will prescribe this for you here in the USA, it will work, but 95% of them will not. Both of these medications have been safely used all over Latin America for MANY years, so those who tell you otherwise do not know what they are talking about! Yes, it they legally available over-the-counter in every "farmacia" in MEXICO. The two medicines ARE: Scabisan cream - applied topically -(5% permethrin)- but it is a big enough tube to actually do the job (not like the stupid little tubes you get on the internet), and IVEXTERM (Ivermectin) taken ORALLY. The Scabasan also comes in a liquid and I suggest using BOTH. You are literally surrounding all the life cycle phases of the scabies mites both outside and inside using this method!*For your information, I am also been a licensed professional exterminator for 34 years so I know what I am talking about from the "parasite" pest side. The Ivexterm is taken by mouth and and you must take the correct dosage for your own body weight to be effective or you will simply cause resistance in any survivors. You take the pills at night before you go to bed and also cover your entire body (up to the chin line) with the (Scabisan) cream. The GREAT NEWS is that when used in conjunction, this combination will absolutely knock out your scabies problem and doctors all over countries in Latin America KNOW THIS!(*Do your due diligence and you'll discover it's true.) You'll wake up in the morning confident that relief has arrived. Of course this is not a professional doctor's recommendation, nor do I claim to be one - this is MY OWN EXPERIENCE and suggestion - but YOU have to decide; I can tell you I live both in Mexico and the USA and have MANY other contacts that verify this is true! GREAT NEWS for all who are suffering this seemingly endless and truly hideous experience and are losing hope. Trust me, this is the best and fastest answer and will actually SAVE YOU money in comparison to all the useless "half measures" you hear about on the net - which merely knock back the mites and do not rid them. Good luck and God bless friends. Scabimex

You don't have to go to mexico. Use lice shampoo. For ivermecitin any farm store carries it. Find out the strength and dose needed. Horse amounts might be much.

For removal in house and car...
So you want to get rid of bugs?

Mixes.

Nylar igr + conquer 2oz per gallon. I'd use a pbo as well.

Suspend Sc can be added to that as well.

Most are available locally at feed stores.

Otherwise head to amazon, or do it yourself places on the internet.

Bengal concentrate is the same as conquer. Local.

Onslaught mc is at tractor supply.

Onslaught + igr will work as well. Use a pbo.

Anything with permethrin at or above 10% is going to work. 10% will need a pbo

Igr can be martins , surge, pivot, nyguard, Archer.
I'm unsure as to meteor or precor. Probably will work as well. Gentrol probably won't work.

Buy a tank gallon sprayer, spray your house. Inside of course.

The kicker to anything you spray... USE DISTILLED WATER ONLY TO MIX AND SPRAY.

For personal use, dawn dish soap. Original. Lice shampoo, denorex, lye soap, vicks vaporub, witch hazel. There are many things that will work. Just be careful.

If bed bugs are the issue, Phantom is the only way to go.

I know you posted last year but I just had to respond:

Your medical records are private info that can only be given to someone with your approval. Also, I really question the ethics of any employer that "digs deep, real deep" into your medical history. Sure, if you're getting a CDL they need to know if you have any conditions that could make you driving be an issue like narcolepsy, seizures, vertigo etc. However, the correct way for them to find this out would be for the company to submit a medical history request for those specific potentially unsafe medical conditions.

March 2016: Truck Drivers are reauired to get a health card in order to renew their CDL license. High blood pressure can disqualify some drivers. Regular pain meds can disqualify. Not sure about scabies disqualifying for a CDL. Again, in order to renew CDL, a truck driver must have a physical at an approved doctir office & all medications & medical conditions must be reported to the physician. Omission of medical information could result in having CDL taken away.
