Is this helpfull? Maybe you are thinking of 1% permethrin which is used to treat lice? 5% permethrin is used to treat scabies or sarcoptic mites.

1% Lindane is a treatment for scabies. It was the treatment of choice to treat scabies for years. Now, because it's considered a safer option, Permethrin 5% is the first-line treatment. oral Ivermectin(stromectol) is also a first-line treatment. See the CDC's website to verify. But there are several treatments for scabies and they are all over the internet, library and in the posts.

That comment was so insensitive. Also, I might be new to scabies, but 1% Lindane has never been the answer. I am reserching and 1% is not strong enough. Be nice and helpful or say nothing at all. These people are desperate and seeking help, as I am. Everyone has not encountered this enemy before. Knowledge is a blessing. Use it wisely.
I think asking what kind of power is being inhaled is a good question, it may be toxic. and suggesting the mother take the kids to a MD is a good suggestion...if they do have scabies they need to be seen by a MD.

Why don't you stay on this forum for a couple years and try to help since you are so concerned. but I think you would rather get on my case then help.

You think I'm insensitive. I think you give out incorrect information.

Because I've been throwing the kitchen sink at my problem, it's difficult toi say what has been most effective...

But you know... everytime i dose myself with huge amounts of garlic (either via food or pills) I don't seem to have a problem for a while.... perhaps make yourself an angelhair and garlic dinner tonight (slice the garlic, sautee, season and serve over pasta).

Bill, I am trusting you because you are not trying to be sarcastic. Please stay on this forum. I need help and too many forums for me to see all. I am cancelling my wedding until I get this scabies situation fixed. My fiance was cured while I was home on R&R (rest and relaxation). I truely was not cured, but I do not want to reinfect him. I love him.I infected my roommate (battle buddy) not with the DX of eczema, but with scabies. I'll be watching for your comments.

FIRST THANK GOD FOR EVERTHING HE HAS DONE AND HELPED ME AND MY FAMILY WITH. MY SOUL IS STRONGER.
My son who is two came home with the little buggers I have been going crazy. We applied the Permethrin 5% 3 time already in a three week course and bathe every night with TETMOSOL soap.(Which realy works) for the first 3 nights left it on body to dry.then started to wash it off a little still leaving a little on there. Lotion your skin with a lotion for dry skin. Still itch but not as much.
As soon as I found out I put every clothing I or my son wore in garbage bags went an wash every thing put them in the dryer for and hour and did not use those clothing for about two weeks after the two weeks I went and put them in the dryer for another hour. Still haven't open all the bags I am scared.
Got rid of all the comforters and pillows they love to live in those things. Haven't selpt with a pillow or comforter for a month already and not missing it.
I WENT CRAZY
First I put every thing in plastic. My mattress I taped the couch in plastic shower curtains vacuumed it first offcourse. USE VACUUM WITH BAG. It is easier to clean I had to buy one.(test suction put some powder on the floor and try and vacuum it if your vaccum those not pick up get a new one) I pulled up the rugs and wraped them in plastic mattress covers. I vacumed every morning before I leave for work and wipe everything down the doors the walls were my son touch with a mixture of clorax, vinger and detol (carribbean cleaner)every day with paper towels WEAR DISPOABLE GLOVES to do cleaning. Do not use a mop or broom they can live in them also I used paper towels to mop the floors with the same solution.
USE GLOVES.
I change my sheet every morning because I do not have a washing machine or dryer so I put them in garbage bags and seal them only opening them at the laundry mat USE GLOVES. DO NOT REUSE BAGS. I do the same with my clothing. I put the clothes in dryer on hot setting for an hour.
Folding them at the laundry mat and putting them away in the drawers as soon as I get home.
I iron everything down to socks, underwear, sheets and towels even started putting clothing in the microwave before putting them on.
I wear shoes in the house plastic or leather never letting my foot or my son's foot touch the ground.
I am not in the clear yet still a little itchy now and again but keeping my faith alive and praying everyday.
THANK THE HEAVENS I HAVE THE LORD IN MY LIFE OR I DON'T WHAT I WOULD DO.
Good Luck and God Bless.

Thank you, Intent and Auugh. I see that I have a long road of treatments ahead. I'm going to use all the treatments you all have done. I want to get rid of these things but this itching is my first priority. I'm always scratching or patting myself. Probably spreaded it to my scalp. I will be staying in this forum. I also purchased the sulfur that Bill sugested. I'll use it tonight. I ordered the 5% perm and iver, but it will take awhile to get here.

concentrate on cleaning areas which you are using, like computers, kitchen, bed. well, especially, the bed, bedclothes need to be washed in scalding hot water, every day. use bleach and water in a squirt bottle and squirt and wipe everything you use, including phones, door knobs, etc.

Try and limit the rooms that you use for a while and you will have to clean again I have been cleaning my house every day since I found out. Try and put most of your things away in closets or garbage bags USE GLOVES to clean and WEAR SHOES in the house because your carpet or floors could be crawling with them.
I put my son toys out side in the sun for like 2 hours it was 98 degrees out here then wiped them down with clorax and hot water then I put them in garbage bags he have not played with toys for a while we read books and sing songs alot he seems to like this better. Try to get the TETMOSOL SOAP online or at a hair store this soap has sulfur in it and it helps alot. Google or Yahoo the name and you will find articles.

Read my previous post.

May God Bless you and your family

There is a new treatment suggestion available for people with a treatment resistant form of a novel louse/scabies like condition.

If there is indeed question of a permethrin, ivermectine resistant condition, than try to use a product called OCTENISAN.

You also can best to follow the so called zero tolerance protocol against MRSA/ MSSA.

You only would have to use one or two total body /scull treatments with Derbac M (Malathion) or Permethrin5% to continue with a total body washings with a product called Octenisan.

You would wash hair and body with Octenisan, observe a penetration time of about 3 to 4 minutes, and rinse with water.

You can use this lotion every day.
One liter costs only about $ 10.00 and is good for about three weeks daily based washings.

It is much better than trying to treat against a novel louse/scabies like condition with the repeated use of harsh pesticides, because it may have the fine potential to start to cure you from a secondary infection.

A secondary infectious like condition that feels like if you are continuously bitten by lice of mites.

Still you best observe the so called DUTCH zero tolerance policy that they
apply for hospital personal in relation to MRSA.

You would use clean sheets and clothing every day and ask your family members to follow the same procedure.

This in combination for instance with the clever use of Octenisan.

MSSA is considered a softer version of MRSA and is very contagious too!

It spreads like scabies they say.

So why not give a safe and effective formula like Octenisan wash lotion a try if repeated application of pesticides does not yield an adequate clue.

It is safe for kids and babes too!

Do you think you suffer from Scabies or Lice?
or is there maybe question of a bacterial infection that mimics this condition!
People who think that they suffer from a scabies or lice like infestation after repeated application with Permethrin5% or Derbac M.(Malathion) are strongly advised to consider to treat their condition as a weak form of MRSA.
The symptoms of this type infection are sometimes similar to scabies.
Because it is of little use to keep on treating a bacterial infection with a harsh anti-parasitic medium, you are strongly advised to try out a new wash lotion like OCTENISAN.
OCTENISAN is a safe wash lotion against resistant bacterial strains.
The only thing you have to do is apply the gel, and leave it on for about three minutes.
If you keep on using this cheap gel, your present skin problems (a biting skin in combination with the formation of therapy resistant skin lesions) may systematically go away in only a few weeks time.
Why not select on MRSA specific wash lotions for your present condition.
Your children will be happy and let you know if it was the right choice or not!
Just give it a try!

maybe just to spot treat but it's really hard to get the cream into hair or fur..it's easier to get what is needed from a vet than a rx from MD.

If you are a nurse, please pass the word that most MD's don't know how to treat scabies. The entire body has to be treated. And as you can surmise from this mite site...there are hundreds of people who are not cured with the usual 2 treatments. And a human can get a full blown infestion of sarcoptic mites from a animal.

The Happy Jack II dip contains 17% permethrin, so you dilute it (alot) and dip the dog in it. follow directions, as you don't want to poison your dog.(as my vet said that from the Adams Flea shampoo which contains permethrin, there have been alot of animals who seizured with that shampoo).

i will now keep going. When you buy the permethrin-10(Martin's or durvet are good), You should dilute it in half of course which turns it into Permethrin 5 %.
You may need to buy some PBO concentrate on the internet to counteract the enzyme in the scabies bug which neutralizes Pyrethroids. They are a SURVIVOR! It isnt roaches that will some day rule the world...it is scabies! If you dont know what a pbo is than look it up on the internet. In "elimite 5% permethrin cream" or generic brand, which you are all using, the pbo is: butylated hydroxy-toluene. Thats right, Toluene, and we all know how dangerous that is. It is added to the permethrin to counter act the scabies enzyme which neutralizes pyrethroids, In other words straight permethrin WONT always kill them! If you use my over the counter feed store brand, you should add a pbo at 5%-10% to your homemade permethrin 5%. REMEMBER, its the pbo in these poisons that are bad for you...not the permethrin so BE CAREFUL! Just like its the pbo's and petroleum products in over the counter poisons like "Raid" that are bad for you as well. Permethrin(Pyrethroids is actually the name of all these poisons) itself is a synthetic(man-made) molecule that is exactly like the molecule that is naturally in the chrysanthemum plant. Thats what these pyrethroids are based on...a natural bug killer in chrysanthemums! The before mentioned permethrin 10 made into 5% by addding half water at the feed store should also be sprayed on your bedding and such or spray your clothes before washing as well.(The army already uses Permethrin 5% to coat clothing of military personnel) What the army does is soak the permetrhin 5 into the clothing and then let it dry. Then you can wash the coated clothing or anything and the permethrin 5 stays in the clothing for quite a while as a tick repellant. HUNTERS WILL BE USING THIS SOON as well because the outdoors magazines are saying permethrin 5%"clothes soak" will be okayed by the FDA soon or by whatever government body okays those things. There are other pyrethroids out there that ARE NOT GOOD for you so please stick with Permethrin only! Isnt it wierd that you cant buy permethrin 5 or 10 % OR Ivermectin(Stromectol) legally in a human form yet OTC(Over the counter), but you can go to your local feed store and get it ALL DAY LONG!! and its cheaper!(Same thing with some antibiotics by the way) One more thing. Please DONT use these over the counter poisons like raid to spray your carpeting and bedding or bring in the local bug man to do the same. BELIEVE me, it is not the pyrethroids in those products that will take years off your life, but it is the pbo's and petroleum products in them that will.
in other words...the "inert" ingredients. Look at those products anyways and you will see most have less than 1% pyrethroid in them anyways, so they are only killing you, not the scabies mite! Get that permethrin-10(martins or durvet) at your local feed store and make your own SAFE bedding and carpet spray by diluting it in half with water(If you must than add a pbo at 5%-10% but try it without the pbo first)...Remember the ARMY does it that way already, and soon hunters will also. Any hunters out there? Dont wait for that "soak" product to be okayed. Make your own now!
This is exactly what I did. I remembered I used it in my barns. After months of agony and work, I started thinking again. Do what she says!!!

I might read a article that
body lice and mites coexist and that body lice
can be very, very small and lay eggs in your
nose and ears. scary!! I think that I have this
type of lice. I am feeling very hopeless about this whole situation. The Drs. think that I am
nuts. I work in a profession that I am scare to
death I'm going to past this own. I think my
dog also has it. The vet thinks i'm nuts as well.
I have tried it all. It's hard to believe that
these two parasites coexits. Mites like moist
places. lices like dry. I can only put chemicals
on me to keep them from biting, but haven't found
a way to get rid of them. The lice look like sesame seeds, only pointed on the ends, the mites are tiny black balls in adult form. I am almost
positive the adult lice look simular to a small white feather. I use bug spray with deet. Or spray that is use for ring worm or athletes foot. antifungal powder spray. Hope this helps. I think my neighbor gave this to me, as I asked for
her help to do something, in which we where in close contact.

When I had scabies it was the most horrible thing , I felt uncomfortable around everyone and thought it would never end, there is a quick way to end your breakout safely. Permethrin does not work folks if you have had scabies for a couple weeks and it is dangerous.
