Contrary to mainstream opinion, these machines can and do migrate above the neck - especially when the rest of the body is being aggressively treated with perm, sulfur and the like. I have them on scalp, ears, eyes, and in the nose.

I have tried vaseline around eyes which proved painful when the stuff inevitably melted and dripped into my eyes. I have rubbed betadine iodine on and around lids and corners. I rinse with boric acid eye wash daily, and wear a thick lotion balm around them daily. Still, the machines find their way in. Vics vapo rub doesn't keep them out of my nose. Granted, these measures "control" but are laborious and lack permethrin cream's efficacy. But I can't apply perm too close to the eyes or on mucous membrane areas. Have also tried internals like neem leaf and revoxil. No go.

Has anyone had any success using Ivermectin to get them out of eyes/nose/ears? If so, was it taken internally and at what dosage, applied topically, or both?

i used sterile everything i could find .i heard nothing could live in a sterile environment .sterile eye drops, nose sprays (saline) and sterile ear drops. you can get most things over the counter .when i got the ear drops i went to my dr one day and just simply told him my ears have been hurting deep inside (never mentioned bugs) i just wanted the ear drops . try that!!

Appreciate the advice, skf. I've tried to create a sterile nightmare for the machines via saline solutions, iodine and the like. I suspect a sterile environment may kill any bacteria the bugs are spreading around, at the very least.

I realize the Ivermectin query has been mentioned before and I've seen posts from a few years back where hosts got them out of the eyes with Iver, but the machines appear to mutate and adapt to most everything. That being the case I'd like to gauge how well Iver is working on those currently suffering. Please chime in if you find Iver is chasing the machines out of your eyes.

I have not had them in my eyes, but iver, taken internally, has been a godsend for me over the past year. I have had them burrowed deeply into my scalp, under calluses on my feet, and in my ears. Iver worked well. There are many threads containing dosage info and sources.

I've had 3 different types of Scabies at different times. One type never got on my face, just my scalp, ears, neck and below the neck. I had it for 1 1/2 yrs and they pin ponged and looked like dandruff. The 2nd time that I had it it was a different type of Scabies too. It got everywhere. The 3rd time I got a pinching type and I'd get crusted face and feet. The pyciatrist just said I didn't wash my face. That was crazy! This time, the 4th time, it that stings and itches really bad.

itchygirl, how long did it take for the iver to kick in and knock down the crap in your scalp and ears? Did you simultaneously slather up these areas with perm, or something else? Or was the iver enough on it's own.

adana, thanks for affirming my suspicions. Why the medical establishment refuses to acknowledge the mutational prowess of these bugs remains a disturbing reality we must somehow circumvent.

adana- wonder why they keep returning .wonder why different places and different kinds .one can hope once they are gone that they dont find their way back home .how long in between did you go without having them .that is very scary because thats my worst nightmare . i cant imagine going for a long time knowing they are gone and then they are back. its been a little over two months and ive had not one symptom of anything until my husband walked back inside the door and up against me .i know he has them .we bought a cheap car so we could park his truck and i wrecked mine so i had another vehicle also .after the split i believe him to get re-infested from his truck .i always used to feel them when i was in it .they would nip my but every single time. making him take the a&H SOAKS AND KEEPING HIM OUT OF HIS TRUCK HIS SKIN CLEARED UP. hes not going to care until he has to do what i did to bring us relief. im having a hrd time with my marital statis .its breaking my heart that these bugs destroyed and took away everything ive ever had .but the test of time was to see how much my husband really loved me .for better or worse ..only for better i suppose .he just needs a place to stay .i dont think he will change and i can not handle much more stress .i guess im confused but i have to believe their is a god .i can not do this on my own and i wouldve given up at the height of my journey without faith..

The first time a poor little girl stayed all night and had it. The 2nd time I gave a homeless lady a ride. The 3rd time I'm not sure where it came from. The 4th time, I felt it coming back everysince I almost got rid of it the 3rd time. Then I gave a homeless man a ride from a motel and he had it. I've ended up in the VA psyc ward several times with this but they never got it. It pisses me off. I think one lady there caught them once. She was covering up her itch.

I try to play with him a little bit each night to let him know I still care. He's like me, he doesn't think anyone ever believes that we have them. So young to learn the evils of the world. I can say that one day he won't be a narrow mind man.

Hold on to your loved ones! It is better to stay married and close to loved ones even if at the present time they infest you on a daily basis. Just put some iver in his food and iron his clothes. You need to have someone to hug no matter what.

this is neither scabies nor morgellons. It's mites, and the strings are their nest material. Teach kids that people just have parasites like other animals, like whales are a whole moving city for small critters. Don't be afraid.

They just won't die.... It's sad to see that so many other people are going through this. I can deal with the ones on my body, even my ears, but the eyes are driving me out of my mind. It makes it so hard to be hopeful when I see that NOTHING helps. I've gotten rid of these things before and have become an expert on parasites & treatment. I still shake hands and hug people, sex.. etc. I won't let these things effect my life anymore than necessary. If I know I'm going out though, I'll treat myself with multiple things at a time. Never tried Ivermectin, but I'm looking into breeding them out now, by internal treatment. There has to be something out there like advantage that can be taken orally without any harmful side effects. Good luck to all, and keep your head up. Your kids already have it, there's no point in shying away from playing with them and hugging them.:)

Hi. 2nd time w/crusted scabies (clinically I have read that means more than 20 mites alive at any one time on your body. In scabies (regular, non-crusted) the immune system deals with leaving only 10-15 mite alive at any one time.
There are a lot of case studies and research papers out there on the growing resistance of parasites. No wonder, Ivermectin is given to dogs monthly for many years... and typically humans get scabies initially from dogs.
Many nations accept parasites and have to treat them constantly. Case studies from universities in the U.S. and around the world in nations like India, etc.-- seem to show a trend of co or symbiotic infections -- w/crusted scabies. Western medicine likes treating the symptoms of parasitic toxins and fungal, systemic yeast, and bacterial infections (including potentially deadly forms of staph) that se
mite & worm activity produce, rather than cure the disease by eliminating the source.
Most people with crusted or resistant scabies should consult with a doctor about testing (not that I personally trust the Western medical community all that much, especially most of their tests with lots of negligence resulting in false negatives and positives) or treatment for roundworms, pinworms, hookworms, and tapeworm (including immature tapeworms who can get encysted pretty much anywhere including your brain - they do not develop further, but can cause seizures and various other ailments). Also there is typically fungus present (strange fibers anyone?), bacterial (mites excrete feces and destroy tissue with four little needles and venom, they are in the spider class so if you have reacted strongly to spider bites in your life this is a factor to consider), antihistamines as the toxins create allergic reactions including swelling and not feeling "right" and I believe the swelling may be beneficial to the mites' ability to travel & feed & mate.
Then you typically have hyperkeratosis... hmmm Morgellons fibers are keratin... prefix it with hyper and add co-fungus, bacterial, mite venom, allergic reaction. Regular mites typically go away in 2 weeks on their own so by the time many people realize they have them 1-20 alive at any one time, and decide to go to a doctor... and is diagnosed as delusional... and they seek proof... it really is not there anymore, and this board is about resistance strains. I have USB microscope and regular microscope slides with proof of multiple conditions (mites/worms/fungus/bacterial/ hyperkeratosis). So far clearing up nicely on high percentage home made Permethrin cream, Ivermectin, and Albendazole. We also use Lotrimin spray for fungus (and alternate active ingredients w/other brands), Curad Silver Nitrate Ointment for bacterial and fungal infections. Wart removers (salicylic acid & cryogenic), callous removers with urea (found in diabetic sections) as I find the last ones hiding in some deep pocket of scar tissue where topical creams have a hard time penetrating and not enough blood, covered by what I thought was "just a pad" on my palm... wrong... very large female mite... not doing too much but guarding some egg nursery... cryogenic works well, but watch they run away if you don't freeze/block them. Consider asking a doctor about a course of doxycycline or oxytetracycline (at feed stores & online) as bacteria even if not causing a lot of symptoms seems to have some symbiotic benefit to the mites.
