I think I have come down with scabies my cats were scratching long before I was but they don't go outside. I have been using sulfur soap and tea tree oil for the past week. At night when I'm sleeping I can feel them crawling on me. Question is what can I use to treat my cats I gave them some frontline plus this week but I'm not sure if that will work.

Sorry the topic should be cats not cafs.

The vets usually prescribe Revolution. If that doesn't work, ask your vet about ivermectin injections.
The problem with treating cats is that they don't weigh very much and there is a huge chance of overdosing the cat.
Cats' livers are fragile, so your vet may recommend a different med other than Revolution/selamectin and/or ivomec.
Search for itchygirl's thread on this forum. There's some information in that thread concerning treating her cats.
You cannot treat a cat with any permethrin product. Permethrin is extremely toxic to cats.

Before you take this clown's advise, realize that he/she/it posts under numerous identities on this forum. Fred/Mary/UncleSam/VSS/Virtual Scabies/Arron/ are just some of the aliases it uses.
It relishes in leading people down the wrong path, so others suffer with it - since it can't even cure it's own case. It is the troll that lives under the Topix bridge and if you come on here letting other people know what did and didn't work for you, it will attack you. It sees this board as its own, therefore it will even compliment and argue with itself using different identities.
Now I ask you - Would you like to accept advice from this obviously mentally ill freak? I think not.

Go ahead and give the poster some advice on treating cats.
Feel free. Who is stopping you?
I gave my advice, now you give yours.

Oh yes, one more thing for your cat. My vet advised to just wash the cash in a mild shampoo, like oatmeal shampoo, and stay away from the pesticide shampoos for cats.
If you have time, read itchygirl's thread. look on the search engine in this forum.

We've been dealing with the same thing for a year now. We gave the cats revolution every 2 weeks for months. Did nothing. Now we are doing the same thing with Advantage multi and are getting the same result. I think we will need to board them for a month and give them ivermectin while they're there. I'm using the iver as a last resort because cats can have neuro side effects from it which can be fatal. But I feel like we have no other choice. They are suffering too.
As for us. We've tried permethrin 5 times now and it does nothing. While the permethrin is on, the crawling sensations on my shins goes away but as soon as I wash it off, they come right back. When I board them I might try neem oil. That's about the only thing I haven't tried.
