I changed my name - this is clebow - Now I'm MITEY WARRIOR --I wanted something EMPOWERING.

I've treated all over and never thought about putting anything in my ears-- so now after I treat I sometimes feel one in my ear.

I started putting a q-tip with a TTO mixture in my ears, when I treat .

It freaks me out worse than having them anywhere else on my body ( yes even on my genitals).
I am a musician and my EARS are important to me.

I have to remind myself that I will win this thing and they are TEMPORARY.

Hi Mitey Warrior:

Here is some information I stored away on my computer for ear problems. I may find more later, for you.

H2O2 has been recommended for years by ear docs to clear out wax in the ear and

it has no bad side effects when used occassionaly. It will not erode the skin,

etc. It is as safe as anything else in the ear.

Also, a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and rubbing alcohol (70%) is effective.

The vinegar helps to give the ear the correct pH level too. It is my favorite

thing to use daily when mites get in the ears.

Hi Mitey Warrior:

Here is something else I found on my computer that I had stored away.

I would like to tell you about a product we have used for years following a

friend's doctor's recommendation for swimmer's ear and itchy ears. It is 190

proof grain alcohol called Everclear. It does not burn like regular alcohol

and clears up ears really fast. When you first put it in your ear it will feel

warm and like it is going to burn, but it never does and we have used it at

least 28 years and given it to relatives and friends. You buy it at a liquor

store and it is drinkable, but I would not advise much of it. Just a suggestion.

I applied Mane & Tail shampoo and also the Azure Pomade de Azufre both applied with a Q-tip.

Glad you are doing better other than your ears.

Hey Cindy,

I found out my mites are birdmites and they like to nest in the ears. I have them in my ears now too and know how painful it is. I am researching treatments. Here is some of my research:

Stung me for like 5 minutes, then peace and quiet. It's very gentle on your
ears.

The following were for dog ear mites, but will probably work for us too!

Herbs are effective in cleaning the ears and getting rid of the mites. Here are some useful herbs that you can try to use:
Yellow Dock
A tea of yellow dock is effective in treating this dog ear problem. Add one teaspoon of the dry herb of yellow dock to half a cup of boiling water. After the tea has cooled down, strain it and pour the liquid into a bottle and place about half a dropperful of the tea into the ears, twice a day.
Oregano
Make an oregano oil by adding 1/2 teaspoon of oregano to 1/2 oz. of olive oil. Let it sit for 24 to 48 hours. Strain the oil through a cheesecloth. Apply about half a dropperful of the strained oil into the ears, twice daily.
Mullein and Garlic
The antimicrobial and antiviral properties of mullein make it an excellent herb for treating ear infections caused by mites in dogs. Garlic is antibiotic; when used in combination with mullein, it is also effective for treating ear problems.
Here is a simple way of making a mullein and garlic herbal remedy for ear mites:
• Combine equal parts of mullein oil and garlic oil
• Add 10-20 drops of olive oil or vitamin E to every one oz. of the mullein/garlic oil mixture.
Apply this remedy to the ear canal of your dog and gently massage the dog ear.
Oregon Grape
The strong antibiotic and antibacterial properties of Oregon grape makes it an effective herb for treating ear infections or mites. Use an oil infusion of the herb. Apply 1-10 drops at a time in each ear one to two times a day until the infection is gone.

I've been using the Ivermectin pour-on to get them out of my ears. Douse a cotton swab, then apply as deeply as you can (gently, of course!).
