Vaseline and make sure you use a napkin to scoop it out to make sure no mite get in it...use it to mosturize the skin
Lavendar Baby oil 1/2 cup for bath soaks
Clorox wipes in car and near any area like desks to wipe down frequently(daily or before use)
Turn the mats in your car over to the rubber side and spray with alchohol or bleach mixture frequently
I heard it bad on infections or skin. I was thinking use vasoline after perm treatment so the mites cant run..

If you are in Canada, where I can't find Borax anywhere. In fact I contacted Loeblaws and they said they don't stock it here anymore. What could be used as a replacement for floors?
I had a similar problem, I finally found it at Zellers

For the ladies...I got a plastic purse from the dollar store with a little plastic wallet to wipe down easier. Also don't forget to wipe off your keys.

Vinyl table cloth for wooden dining tables and put plastic over your computer desktop. Get several mouse pads and saturate them with alcohol between every use.

I just was diagnosed with scabies and I'm really worried about getting rid of this horrible problem. My husband insists he doesn't have them, so he won't take part in the perm cream the doctor gave me. I used it once, washed all my bedding in hot water, didn't use the same sheets again for a week.

I still seem to have itching and bumps. We bought an older house with old carpets, no way I can clean all these carpets thoroughly.

I'm thinking to re-do the perm cream from scalp to feet - I only did one treatment per the doctor's instructions. What else can I try? I can get borax to launder in. As far as floor cleaning, hopeless - I don't even own a vacuum cleaner that works very well.

I don't think one treatment cured me cause I keep feeling this crawly sensation all over - mostly around my scalp and ears and back. The doctor said to just put the cream on from the neck down, but I included my scalp, too.

What about my pets? I keep reading that pets cannot get the same mites, or pass them to people.

I would appreciate any help. I read through a lot of the posts, but I don't even know what half of that stuff is - the meds mentioned etc. I certainly do not plan to bathe in bleach etc.

You definitely have to treat more than once...The entire house has to treat...Even if they don't show any signs of it. I would treat head to toe 5 to 7 days after your first treatment... I have already treated four times...You have to vacuum the carpets...I did use flea spray with perm in it..Not sure if it kills them or not...I would invest in a new vacuum cleaner. I also gave my dogs two treatments of their frontline Plus...they really don't show any signs of having it. I am not sure if we have gotten rid of it yet...I am hoping that we have.. Oh, I also encased all the beds in a zipper vinyl mattress cover. I am sure others who have more experience with this can give you advice.

Thanks, everyone. I never would have thought of a plastic purse or flipping over the floor mats. I have cleaned well inside... Now what about the cars? Cloth seats, carpets, etc... I did Clorox wipes and lysoled the heck out of them last time, but now I'm concerned and don't want to miss anything. TIA

What are you doing reading all this stuff! Just keep the house clean everyday, do your treatments, and see what happens! It sucks but its a total waiting game, you are fighting something that can't be seen and most people on this site claim that they can "see things crawl" and "stuff on their clothes" trust me you ain't gonna be able to see these suckers. Do your cleaning, use bleach, use borax, change your sheets, change your clothes, and you will be the 96% that gets cured. That's my approach. This stuff on here will flip your brain and you will start itching all over. STAY POSITIVE!

Yes I know. I'm just worried I haven't been able to get to some places. But I'm cleaning the floors every day, luckily I have wood floors but its extra time consuming. And changing bedding every day and have mattress covers. The only thing is my room is detatched from the house so I haven't gone in there in a week. And it gets cold too. Ive just been sleeping on my couch and doing the main house and kids rooms. I've gotta tackle this laundry here before I move to my room. I'm gonna use a bomb tomorrow on the whole house and my car and just keep cleaning every day. But staying positive. Trying to! Lol. Thanks!!!

That's the attitude to have just keep doing what you are doing try not to go all over the house trust me when I saw this they will seek you out because you are the only way they can survive, so clean things you use and places that you have been and this will get better email me if you have any questions or just want someone to talk to. chunkiedelight@gmail.com

We used Permethrin Lotion
Lice shampoo for the head
Lice spray for Couch and regular roach spray f mattresses, put plastic cover over mattress
washed all our complete clothes & Laundry
bleached out all our shelves, Cabinets etc
bleach every single time our toilette seat & door handles..
wash laundry, bed sheets & clothes every day regular w washing powder and ammonia or vinegar .
No towel for more thn one person
Cleaned all Rugs and carpets with shampoo & hottest water I cld use.
It is a nightmare but I'll fight it. No contact to other human since over a week now.
It looks good, hope we will win in the next week
.... and never keep it as a secret, the sooner people know and get treated the sooner it will stop ! Don't feel shame, don't be ashamed, so many have it and they don't even know.
I thought in the beginning my daughter got neurodermitis from to much sugar... I was wrong :(
