Can you get scabies through a simple handshake?

This has been a worry of mine as a handshake is common at my job and with my friends. I know most sources claim you can't get scabies like that, but a few people I've shook hands with and nothing else seem to be coming down with the same symptoms of the skin disorder. My hands tend to get a little sweaty at times especially when its hot and humid. I read somewhere that this can help aid the transfer of mites from person to person. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

I have gotten Scabies when handing an Arby's sandwich to a woman who was homeless. She got in the backseat of my car and I handed the sandwich to her and those dog-gone things crawled from her had onto the sandwich and onto my hand. That was in 2005 and I've had them every since even though I treat a few times every few years.

A doc told me to retreat when I saw him yesterday. My blood work shows that I'm having a severe reaction to something. I have a rash and flakes on my face and feet. My feet are horribley swollen. The first doc didn't look at the rash, the second doc said it was something else like dermititis. The third doc said to treat for Scabies. He's to one that did the bloodwork when he saw my leg and face. I had the reaction before starting the water pills for the swelling up to my knees. My feet were purple and my legs were solid red to mid thigh and blotchy red the the knee. He saw evidence of stuff on my back too.

Yea I'm driving myself crazy as to how I got it. But now that I think about it 2 months ago I did give a dollar to a homeless man and he actually did shake my hand. I didn't think anything of it but maybe that's how I got it too. I wonder why most sources claim you can't get it through handshakes or very little contact...

There has been very little research since they were discovered some 2,500 years ago. No one knows as much about them as us sufferers. Screw them all, I say. There is contridicting information all over the Web and with every doctor and nurse you meet. LOL It's extremely frustrating. Rip your carpets out or buy a good vaccum and a good deep cleaner. Know of a good deep cleaner? I want to go buy one right now! You can buy Elimite cream from Canada over the Internet. I did a couple years ago, but I sent it back. So, I didn't get a chance to try theirs.

Living with Herpes is really hard, especially when you are a single. According to a report from the largest Herpes singles dating site DateHSV...com, 98% of its members who used to be on a general dating site to find the love and support were rejected by others. That could be the reason that why DateHSV...com is so popular and now has more than 560,000 members.
