Does Scabies Look Worse On Initially Starting Treatment?

Does it look worse after treatment starts? A while back I started to notice my neck itching, then the sensation of things crawling on me but could never see anything, and then the worst itch on my neck and a pimply blotchy red rash. After some research online I found a lot of sites with pics of what I have identifying it as scabies. It's the worst itch - I'd scratch at it until it burned just to overwhelm the itch sensation - unbelievably itchy between fingers too - and it''s red and blotchy with the little hard pimply bumps in addition to the plain red, and I've seen the burrow marks. It's on my torso too now.
I read a lot about meds not working so well anymore and recommendations for diatomaceous earth and grapeseed oil which I've been coating myself in for about 4 days now, and taking scrorchers of showers. I even dust myself with the food grade DE after the oil at bed time. The itch feels better once coated in DE, but my skin, on neck and shoulders, is painfully sensitive now, and the red rash is much more visible. Also, I'm not just coating my neck and torso, but my body from head to toe, and noticed since started that what I'd been thinking was cellulite but covered anyway looks like bumps and pimply things on my thighs now too........is this all scabies or is some of it irritation from the DE and grapeseed oil? And does the scabies actually appear WORSE following start of treatment and before getting better?
It's driving me crazy

Oh - I've read a lot about others' visits to doctors and that a lot either don't know about scabies, don't believe patients really have it, or don't know what to do about it. The person I think I contracted this from had some skin issue on the leg that doctors couldn't figure out and were making more and more appts to try. We were roommates until this past month and my neck had started the above after my roomie's skin irritation and doctor appts had come up. & I've read articles about scabies being an epidemic now fairly immune to treatment. So, while I'll call my GP, I'm not sure how much doctors can do anymore???? Can anyone comment on any of the above questions? I know I've asked more than one.

Thanks,

BTW I've always had dry(er) skin for the AEDs I've had to take and a rash is a side effect of the one I'm currently on - and I've always been very aware of its appearance. If a timeline matters: sunburn like (minus any actual sunburn) rashy itching started while at previous rental and after a roommate started seeing a doctor for a spot on their leg (before I suggest (as above) it might have contracted from them (their DR still hasn't named it), could what the roommate had in one spot on the leg have even been scabies?) At this same time the current AED I'd been started on had to be raised faster than they'd've liked. The dry itchy sun burn appearance of the drug rash changed to the intensity described above this past wk; the creepy crawly feeling just prior; found pics that look like it under the scabies label and started using the suggested DE/grape seed oil Mon. Saw little red lines (burrow marks?) Wed. GP only gets back Mon. I'm hoping I'll hear I'm just being paranoid - I've worked in constantly changing enviros with different contacts of all ages daily for over 10 years and never contracted anything at all. I'd sill like to get others' opinions on it if I can.
Thanks again

I have no idea what in the hell you are babbling about, BUT, I can say this. Diatomaceous Earth (DE) and grape seed oil do NOT cure scabies. You will need another med to cure your scabies. You will need a tried and true scabicide.
