um, I may be wrong but dont see that I am .
even though it sounds accurate and explains what MAY be bitting us.

There is no bug called black pepper MITES.

I have read this online before. but there is no such animal. I do agree with the descriptions of a mite that looks like a black speck of pepper however.
please dont think im being argumentative. In the post online where I read this they were making a point to Not say morgellans it was a bannable offense, so I reject that some scientists named a mite the black pepper mite.

again, im not saying that this isnt a good term for the bugs that are biting us, but the above site you posted is to sell you product that only describes a symptom, NOT AN actual BUG ..
try something more like these >
http://www.google.com/search...
Many mites are Black and can be decribed as looking like pepper...
http://www.the-piedpiper.co.uk/th5i.htm

tyrophagus spp., Caloglyphus spp. and Histiostoma spp. < species of mites.

If I said to you I have a red bridge forsale , would you just buy that bridge or would you want to know more about where that bridge is, what is it made from..ect ?
dont believe everything you read, dont buy things that are being sold to cure fictional bugs.
again, not trying to pick an argument, not trying to fight, Buyer BEWARE !! it seems to me companys are trying to make web sites and profits off of our suffering.thats all im saying..

Is this some kind of invisible flea? The way they jump up to my ankle anytime I have my legs exposed with my robe on it sure seems like it, but then again they don't bite once they get there, but my leg hair feels them land. I guess I'm being attacked by more then one species of bug. Did anyone notice that when you get bitten, you can't just swat it, or rub it away, like a misquito, or normal bug bite, that has no effect, it just lingers there stinging, until it's done. One time I felt it stinging the top of my foot,(of course couldn't see anything) sprayed it with cool mint listerine, nothing,,, then sprayed with blue Dawn soapy solution, nothing,,,, finally sprayed it with Windex, it was an immediate stop to the stinging! These bites are nothing less then tenacious!
Have you tried 1 part providone iodine to 3parts baby or olive oil?
I put it on my whole body tonight to kill my bird mite buddies.
I had black thingies poppin out all over me in places I didn't know had any black thingies! Some were the size of a large flea.

Interesting Patty, Don't know what providone iodine is? but, yes that & the oil, must've helped trying to smother them.

The sad part is, I think these things live in the skin, and are not visible, until you disturb their world somehow. I was feeling crawly yesterday afternoon, after a bath in A&H the night before, jumped in the shower to go out on a date, and black things started coming out of me as soon as I hit the water. They looked like tiny flies, maybe collembolla? It startled me a bit, then I just showered with H&S blue bottle shampoo. Sure enough, I got back 4hrs later, and the crawling started again, so I took an A%H bath, and went to bed, finally some relief, after 3 changes of clothes!

After being diagnosed with scabies( I still have no clue who brought it into my house) I did what the doctor told me ( not very common with me) and applied Permetrhin 5% one time washed my sheets and clothing that I had worn or slept in for the last week, quarantined all clothing that I couldn't dry or wash, and 6 days later the difference is a world to me.

I developed A rash from permethin and it was quite annoying but not more than the thought of dragging scabies around 4ever, the doctor checked me out and said "no signs of present infestation", so I guess I'm closer to feel scabies free. My message to the forum is:

Please sToP reading horror stories in the "INTERNETS", your brain is a place scabies won't go but you can fill your head with peoples horrific tales. you will itch after treatment, but is a different itch way more noticeable but less insidious, is like a burning effect, you will develop more bite looking spots in the coming days after the cream is applied but after 5 days you'll feel that many spots have come and gone in 2 or 3 days, and you have to remember all those itching bumps you had for weeks if not months, they where not very painful but always there in the same places, now if you have a clean environment and have followed treatment , those will have disappeared or dried up.

THIS IS NOT A CHRONIC DISEASE.

get well all of you

Hi Mikdee!
Providone iodine is the generic name for Betadine. It is an antiseptic that is normally used for cleaning an area prior to surgery. Any pharmacy has it.It is also used in place of mecurachrome (?) on cuts because it does not sting. It kills about 60% of the larger mites and the rest just do not like it. I beleive the oil is the thing than does most of the damage to the little bastards.
The iodine is great for healing the bumps and fading the scars from scratching.

I have the black specks too, and they bite. They also like to go into your ears and bite and you end up with swollen and sore ears. Told my doctor and he prescribed ears drops for when my ears are sore from bites.

I note that these black specks gather in damp areas, laundry room in my apartment, under the kitchen sink and in the bathroom.

I have mini de-humidifiers in these rooms and have been told that this will bring the humidity level below 50%. I have a humidity meter, paid $5.00 for it and it says that the humidity level is at a little less than 45%.

Extra vacuuming in these rooms is really advised.

God Bless.

Hi Anonymous,
What type of ear drops did your doctor prescribe? Are they antibiotic drops? What is the name?
What is a mini de-humidifier? What brand name did you buy? How much do they cost?
Thanks for your help, Anonymous.

this disease they are describing about is not scabies. It's a new mysterious disease that even the doctors don't understand. It easier to treat a known diesease than an unknown new disease.

Your wrong Chris. I have the black specs and brought the specimen to my dermatologist. She sent it off to the lab and confirmed that I had scabies and that it was dead mites in the skin.

I've applied the permethin cream but I don't know if I cleaned my room well enough its been 3 days since I did the cream and I feel them again, I just want to make sure what they are, I can't see them but when I itch sometimes a clear or foggy white speck comes out looks like dried skin and these little black spots will come out, I itch everywhere but it doesn't leave legions or a rash per say I mean my skin might get a little red from rubbing, I just would like to know the best course of action, do bug bombs kill them and can I infect a car from riding in it several days out of the week, I would really appreciate some feed back I've had several anxiety attacks because this is too much for me working 60 hours a week and dealing with this

What everyone is feeling is real.... Up until last week I though it was mites for me. I was exposed to scabies but nothing even close to prolonged skin to skin contact. Every dr. Said you don't have it yet I was experiencing the most tormenting skin crawling feeling and pinches that made me jump... In the end it was almost constant. The itching was there... Not bad at all.... It was the crawling and the pinches. I really thought those little bastards were biting me. I lost all sense of rational thought and was convinced there were thousands of bugs crawling on me and biting me. I also saw pepper like specs. I saw them come out of my skin, or I was convinced that's what they were doing. I saw them in the bathtub when I would soak in Epsom salt and minerals.... I was taking pictures with my sub microscope of what I thought were burrows, or mites under my skin but not once did I see something moving. Weeks and weeks, I was hardly sleeping until last week. I decided to up my dose of black cohosh for menopause hoping that it was really menopause symptoms... I also started taking Apple cider vinegar tablets. 4 per day, I'm sleeping through the night, I've taken all my clothes out of the bags, I feel like I have my sanity back... My rational thinking is back and I almost can't believe what I did to myself... But I'm convinced it was the Apple cider vinegar tablets. It's worth a shot right? I won't stop taking them.... I prayed to feel normal again.... And now I do. I hope you all will to. You can reach out to me any time......

Thank you, and God Bless have felt like I'm losing my mind. I have cleaned until I'm exhausted, poisoned until we should all be dead, scrubbed the fur off the dogs, even taking fungal antibiotics. I'm going to try the black cohash and apple cider tablets, did you get them at a health food store? Oh, and yes we have lived out of garbage bags too, and I tremble when I have to handle laundry. I want my life back!
