Not sure if this is a serious post, but I wouldn't be messing around with Borax if I had kidney disease. There are a lot of other treatments that aren't possibly dangerous for the kidneys.

I agree. Kidney disease would not be helped by borax, and indeed as with all things only in moderation.
The amount of exposure required to remove skin infections is quite different to internal ailments. You would do more damage than good by the time you exposed yourself to enough borax to be effective.

Finally got up the courage to give the Borax detox a try after weighing pros & cons, arguments for & against. Took approx 1/16 tspn with 16 oz water. Drank it all at once before bed, tho, not through the day. Tasted fine. Didn't even notice it much. Tested with a litmus strip, it registered between 8 & 9. No reaction until this morning... def noticed it having an effect. Had the squirts, a bit of nausea with gasiness and burping.

We have fluoridated water- I'm so mad about it.

Ans: Yes, it's a bacterial pathogen, but once you've had it, you will always test positive for it, even if you've killed the pathogen.

The earlier you detect & treat it, the better the prognosis. My 10-yr old contracted it and we used traditional antibiotics: tetracycline. Figured the benefits outweighed the risks. She was back to her old self within 2 weeks.

Did anyone actually read this?
You all have an opinion, but no one had any real data, here is an extremely well reference article.

I don't have time to waste Denver. Been there, done that.
You come to this thread and write a blatant lie.
Why in Heaven's name would you do that?!? I think you are so weird.
Holler back if and ONLY IF you give this protocol a try.
Hi Str8up. I agree 100% with you and Ted about the system and how it's not really set up to offer things that are truly in the peoples' best interests, especially if it impacts their profit machine. We have to look for our own natural remedies. Too, too bad that most of our older ones have not passed on old school knowledge of natural cures to the younger generations. They are a treasure whose wealth of common sense knowledge should be preserved and consulted. Borax is an old school remedy for a lot of things. I have researched the wonders of borax not only for skin mites, but also for a host of many other afflictions (many serious) and Ted's borax/H202 remedy makes total sense and I am going to try it starting tomorrow when I can buy some 20 Mule Team Borax. Thank you so much for sharing and trying to spread the word to help others. For those naysayers who haven't even tried the protocol, please do your own research (avoid sources that have something to gain either way) about borax and its effects on the body, make a decision whether to try it and then post about your PERSONAL experience with the protocol. Opinions without first-hand knowledge is not very helpful. If you have positive results, share them so that others can benefit. Although not life-threatening, this malady of skin mites can drive one to thoughts of suicide due to the relentless and maddening itching, so finding a remedy that brings true relief if so valuable. I'm thankful that this guy Ted has been so generous in sharing his cure as well as str8up for posting here about it and her experiences. Thank you very much.

I have been putting 1/4 of a teaspoon of borax (Turkish origin) in the jug (kettle) now for three years. Everyone in the house drinks borax when they drink tea, coffee, cocoa etc. Obviously the children only drink cocoa, and only one cup per day.(With raw cream and honey from our hives of course.)
We don't often get sick, in fact my flatmate had a rotten tooth for well over a year before it was discovered by a large amount of pus filling his mouth (sorry, gross ++). Yes it hurt, but it was not obvious it was infected till it actually erupted.
The eldest child used to suffer from constant bouts of the flu, and that has dried up (Excuse pun). None of us have discovered any adverse effects, and believe me, I have had my eyes wide open looking for even the faintest sign.
I have no desire to cause any harm to any child!
The middle child sufferers from constant kidney infections, or rather did, that seems to have dried up too.
The youngest has a heart condition, and he is constantly monitored by medical professionals. His heart surgery has been post phoned indefinitely, as the hole in his heart has not changed in the three years since his last surgery.
My own son was autistic, and only visits on the weekends,(he spends the week with his mother), but everyone who knows him remarks on how much better he is... That's two cups of cocoa a week.(proof you don't need a lot to have an effect, just a small amount regularly of a long period of time. To be fair, he lives on a rural property during the week, and drinks unfluoridated water from a bore, filtered of course)
Fact is we have eaten over a kilo of borax between five people living here, and our guests in the last three years.
NO ill effects to report.
A word of cation though, that's 1/4 of a teaspoon in 2l of water. As with all things moderation is the key, and most people will take a supplement for a short time, usually in excess. Don't be a dodo. Small amounts often, not large amounts occasionally.
Since my last post I have been researching iodine, and have purchased, and am taking Lugols drops. Highly recommended as most people are iodine deficient, and this can cause a multitude of problems. While you are looking at deficiencies, you should check out selenium, zinc, magnesium, and silica, B1, B2, and vitamin C also. Can't recommend SUN enough. Vitamin D is essential for almost ALL body functions.
And stop eating sugar. White death. Perhaps most of our good health can be attributed to the lack of sugar consumption, and the massive amounts of raw foods we eat from our own garden, and the raw milk co-op.
Pull up the lawn and replace it with a permaculture garden. Four years of growth means we have a plentiful supply of fruit, vegetables, and herbs.
NO mowing either, and no fleas, flies, or mosquitos despite a dog, cat and flocks of wild birds.
Be well.

As a follow up...
For those interested in autistic spectrum disorders, and how to remedy them, I recommend chlorella, and zeolite.(Note, micronised zeolite is a scam, if you aren't buying zeolite clay by the kilo, or pound, you are being scammed.) Make sure the zeolite is FOOD grade, garden, and industrial grade is very different, it has sharp edges which can damage the lining of the stomach,. and is the wrong particle size to be effective in the short digestion time. Too small a particle can end up in the blood, which is apparently a bad thing as it interferes with normal cell function.(I say apparently, because that was from a marketing blurb, and was not referenced.)
Most autistic children have eating disorders,(remember, the immune system is the gut...), so milkshakes, desserts etc is the best way to get zeolite into them, and chlorella comes in pill form, so wash it down with raw milk milkshakes flavored with fruit, honey and/or cocoa, hey or just plain water if they tolerate it. Beware most store bought water has fluoride, many brands are just tap water. As long as the fluoride levels are the same or lower than the FDA, and EPA maximum recommended levels, its perfectly legal, and they only have to state it's in there if they added it themselves. Naturally occurring fluoride is the same, and won't be listed as present on the bottles label.
Obviously I post in other places, but this audience deserves to have the info as well even though though this is not the appropriate forum.
Be well.

Hi, I've just started to read this thread and read yours...I too have kidney disease. I'm in stage 3 but working my way back up to stage 2. So what I wanted to know what have you been able to do to threat the scabies since you have kidney disease . So many people on this forum have said not to use borax if you have kidney disease. So far I'm used borax in the wash & let soak for 30 min. and on the carpets, but not in any other way. Have you used borax at all? If you have what have you done and how did it affect you?

The kidneys filter the toxins in the blood. They don't kill germs, and are sensitive to borax. The thyroid gland does kill germs, but only if there is enough available iodine in the body. Do an allergy test as with weakened kidneys you don't want to have any sort of allergic reaction. NOTE, foods such as chilli, and other strong vegetables and herbs place a great deal of load on your kidneys, might want to do some research on that on, it's a commonly known fact, even amongst allopathic practitioners. Wouldn't hurt to see a natropath either. I also recommend EFT.
It would be wise to do a test to see if you are iodine deficient. It would also be wise to check for other vitamin and mineral deficiencies.
See my posts above to answer your questions about borax use. The middle child suffers from kidney problems, and has been warned to empty the jug and fill it with fresh water if she has a second cup of tea, cocoa etc. She is 13. She is suffering from sever dermatitis and eczema, and has just passed a test for iodine allergy, and is on her first day of iodine replacement therapy. Will post results as they become apparent. Note she has a love for salt, and against our recommendations eats mountains of the stuff.
Really the answer is diet, see Weston A Price for the truth about food, mercola.com has much resource available, and the Earth clinic is a site that has very useful information.
Here is a link for the truth about iodine for those interested, I would recommend you read it too Jana. Good luck, and be well. One last thing, bless all your food and drinks.

If you're itching and have scabs/burrows then you have Scabies.

If you're itching with crawling sensations, seen black dots/specs, persistent after permethrin, bugs coming out of you ex: fruitflies/worms then you have Morgellons.

You don't need to have fibers because nowadays they designed the new strain so that it looks like your hair. You don't need to have sores either because the new Morgellons sufferers don't get sores. They just cause people to itch when they're around.

Morgellons is defined in the medical community as a Delusion but that is a lie. They are covering it up because the CDC created this internal and systematic disease. There are people with lesions that have this. A physical manifestation yet they insist on calling us crazy.

Good source of information about Morgellons
http://www.rense.com/datapages/morgRSPEC.htm

If you have morgellons you will never get well with just topical treatments as you would for the treatment of scabies. The reason why you take INTERNAL treatments (like Borax) is because they are residing internally, inside your brain, within your scalp, and they can move to and fro in any part of your body. This is a biological weapon designed for torture and destruction and they are intelligent.

Try Far Infrared. If you're in L.A. go to Dr. Hildegard Staninger
Alkaline Water ph 9.5 in any Water stores. Made by Kangen
Spirulina and Chlorella
Echinacea and GoldenSeal
Brewer's Yeast
Raw Vegetables(salad) and Fruits
NAC, Milk Thistle, Alpha Lipoic Acid and Vit C
Running - makes you herx

If you think you have fleas that flies then you have Morgellons.

I just tried food grade Castor oil on my skin for the last 3 days. Talk about a miracle. My sores have just about healed. It's not taking away symptoms but very healing.
