I was a bit worried when I was diagnosed with scabies because of the horrible connotations that people associate with it. I was first given a tube of permethrin. This seemed to have worked but within a month they were back!! This time worse than the first. This time I got another tube of permethrin and a bottle for my hair. After this I started getting more burrows so they obviously hadn't gone. I'd read about beach baths but was wary about putting it on my skin so I tired dettol in my bath instead, this removed the itchiness but new burrows continued which is when I tried putting a dab of bleach on a pad and putting it on my skin to see if I was allergic/sensitive to it which I wasn't. I then tried a cap full of household bleach into a full bath and to my surprise I actually felt like I could feel then coming off me!!! I could see little black dots in my bath and bubbles coming off my back (which it where my newest infestation started!!!) on my second treatment but will keep updating! I am also using permethrin inbetween.

Hi diane. i was wondering if you could tell me what the bleach ingredient you used to get rid of the scabies, my children have just started to itch with little pimple scabs aswel as myself so i want to treat it before our bodies start to breakout. We have been describe creams from GP but nothing at all is working.. Can i use your bleach ingredients aswel for spraying the house and everything that we have come in contact with?

the bleach works right away, but I think you should use it a few times after showering and maybe once a week after that untill you don't think you have them anymore. I had them for almost 2 years so believe me I know how bad they can get, when I had them on my face and eyelashes, that was it, I just stayed online determined to find the cure, got spammed like crazy, then got the cure from a Dr., who would have thought, lol.
Can someone tell me how much of bleach, baking soda and water do I mix together and how often do I apply?

thanks xoDiane. I have mites, but not scabies. Have written down your water/bleach formula. I use Dakin's solution--water/bleach/baking soda. Very helpful but much less concentrated than your 1-3 mix.
Powder A&H or liquid?
Can you tell me how to mix the ingredients, like how many cups of each and how often. Thanks and I hope it works...

I have tried everything I could think of except bleach. I did the cream from the doctor, the shampoo and body wash that he prescribed, hydrocortizone creams and none of that worked.
I did not want to put my entire body in bleach under any conditions... I read online that you can soak in salt water and get rid of them. The salt dries them out and dries out the eggs also. The doctor cost me over $ 500.00 - I got the salt for less than $ 50.00.
I used ALOT of salt!! I soaked in a bath of two containers of table salt,(26 oz each), to a full tub of water at 112 degrees.( I also read online that the scabies mite cannot survive in 110+ degree water for more than 10 minutes). Yes the water is hot and you may need a fan to help with the heat but it was worth it for me.
I don't know that I am cured yet but I can tell you I feel alot better. the itch went away almost immediately. I have soaked for twenty minutes at a time, for five days now. You have to air dry so that the salt dries out the mites. as the salt dries the mites come to the surface to escape the salt. Once you have completely air dried, take a shower and wash them off! I stand in front of a fan to dry. It works for me - Hope it works for someone else as well.

For immediate relief from the insufferable itch take to the blow dryer. If you blow dry the itch on medium and a hot setting it will relieve the itch. You will know when you have gotten the area hot enough - trust me you will move the dryer. You have to get the itch spot really hot to kill the itch. If you try this I hope you have a high pain tolerance. Your skin will turn bright red and be very warm to the touch but the itch will be gone. Don't leave the blow dryer still over the itch spot or you will burn yourself, keep it moving. Get the area as hot as you can stand it... This also works well for me. Good Luck

Yes, the bleach, Cayene pepper, turmeric baths worked. Feeling very low though as I am exhausted from trying to prevent further infestation from bedding clothes etc. horrible time. But I have learnt a lot if anything to be persistent from the beginning. Simply if your skin is not intact and healthy all over first try bleach baths and moisturizer then all he insecticide creams tablets but remind the DR and yoursel of the incubation period and persist and repeat and repeat and repeat the treatments. Best of Luck. Don't panic. Found out as well that mites cannotburrow into the eye. They hang on to eye lashes, so salt water eye baths can help if this append. Don't forget that they also cover genitalia. Men should take care and look for spots see google images. I cannot ne'er stand how very one in the world dies not gave thus contagious little b*******r. As they are so hard to get rid of.

have u done the permetherine with ivermectin? many people have been cured with permetherine just twice, and have post scabies bumps. dont listen to everyone here because they will make you lose your mind. most people here either dont have scabies, are already cured but experiencing post scabies symptoms, or have a resistant mite but that can only be a few

That's all I see you doing on all forums? You must really have a lot of time on your hands to just sit there and talk shit to everyone. Amazing grow up

Hi, yes we have all had both now. Daughters scrapings are clear just remaining vigilant to avoid re contamination. As we live Ina hit humid climate it can be hard to get out in the sun but we are persisting. My husband is swimming every day again as the chlorine is said to help. Daughter is happier but had a weep yesterday. Relief I think that the mites are dead. Thank you for caring enough to reply.

Did you get a reply? I have mixed one cup or four ounces of bleach, which appears quite a Loy, in a bath and added a concoction of baking soda, half a small bottle, Cayene pepper- 1 tablespoon, same if Turmeric all mixed into an aqueous cream as that is all I had, but some people use Vaseline. I have then added coconut oil into the bath as well. You do come out of a 20 min bath feeling Toasty for an hour but it stops the bites and protects as well as leaving the skin feeling smooth. Great for a very cold ay as well.

It is for Bacteria and mites both. Bleach kills everything. Please give this is chance for those that it will work for,(with all due respect).
I used lotions from the doc and they didn't make any diff it just made me so itchy. My body was so red from scabies and dry. I finally got to the point of trying anything. So I bathed in bleach (also baking soda for the sake of keeping my ph level from dropping to much) it killed them. Unfortunately my family has it before I realized but some bleach and we will be set.

Ok we are on the mend. Bleach in bath everyday one small coffee cup full. My daughter who had the Norwegian scabies on her toes has recovered new skin but each day scrubs her feet with a toothbrush in the bath. Side of legs have lots of tracks but no new ones. Applied another bottle of Methalion to her feet and legs as a precaution. EVERY DAY all sheets and clothing is put on a 60 wash, tumble dried and ironed. Furniture has been steamed and sprayed with insect killer and covered in throws. My husband came home itchy so back in the bath. My eyes ave been checked by the DR she explained that the mites cannot enter the eye itself but rather cling to the eyelashes. She gave antibiotic drops as I had been swimming with eyes open in pool to try to wash out what turned out to be a 'floater' due to age! Go to an optometrist they can check your eyes. Wherever I felt itchy I have got the hair dryer and applied the hot air immediately. It all seems to be working but I will never not iron again as I now know why ironing was invented, to kill mites! Socks pants as well. Oh and a bit if bleach in the wash water of the washing machine. Hope this all helps.

Seems that there is an organism in the blood that attracts these things. I went to a guy in Missouri who helped a lot. You have to treat the inside of the body as well as the outside, clothes and environment. Im happy to have a dialog with you. What I am doing seems to be working. If you have had success, please share
Anonymous could you please share the name and number of the person in Missouri who helped you. I have been suffering with scabies for 6 months i.e., permethrin does not work on me and the oral Ivermectin only helps a little but not enough to eradicate them. They are on my scalp and YES do go above the neck.. Please let me know if this person was a naturopath or holistic doctor. Thanks you.

There have been many posts from people who cured themselves using Advantage II Blue together with Ivermectin (Mitewarrior). I have had scabies for 6 months and to make matters worst they went above my neck and are in my scalp and face. I have tried Ivermectin with the topicals, permethrin, BB, malathion, Eurax. The permethrin does not work at all on my and the others are only a temporary fix and it comes back again. I'm desperate to get my life back and would like to know if anyone has tried the Advantage Blue and if it gets mixed with a carrier oil how much would you use? Any responses would be so greatly appreciated.
