I know this sounds crazy but Pinesol has been my magic bullet apart from the oral Vermox, which I was using topically but ran out of, and I haven't had time to re-make my own from the tablets.
How about mebendazole aka vermox in tablet form for the internal. They carry it at Walmart in the dog de-wormer section. It is exactly the same strength as that for adults or children. For me, it tends to drive them out but is supposed to work for hookworm, roundworm, and pinworm. just a suggestion. It seems to be fairly innocuous if you aren't a worm.
Canuckette, did you mean that Wal-Mart has over-the-counter Mebendazole 100mg.? Mebendazole, aka Vermox, is the NEWEST thing being prescribed for persistent Scabies now...if this is true...this could cure EVERYONE,(wihout a pescription), because Mebendazole along with the baths or other topical, has a very high cure rate for Scabies and even the dreaded HOOKWORM! Man, you people are on a roll today, and I don't mean maybe. Dosage for Scabies in humans is... Mebendazole 100 mg. once, repeat in two weeks,(along with baths or other topical)-SHAZAM!Thanx! Mebendazole kills hookworms when the Ivermectin fails. So, you can imagine what it would do to a mite...thax again folks!

-Sig-if you think that you still have parasites, the Mebendazole,(Vermox), will kill parasites.(The dosage is much higher for worms though). Chin up my darlin' you CAN win! Never heard of topical Vermox though.

Yes, My head/scalp is still itching like crazy, and I comb out & otherwise remove "stuff", and I get so tired--but obviously not sleeping.
Yes I CAN win. I'm certainly not giving up; but at the same time, I think there's more to this than I'd thought before. I've had several serious illnesses & surgeries, and this probably started ..who knows when?
I'll look for the Mebendazole. Know very little about it. Is Canuckette using it as a topical? Think I'd expect to use it internally. Will read directions and research it. Too much that needs doing, and too much to remember all of it.

-also, Vermox is used as an ORAL med for parasites. I hope no one reading here is being influenced to put weed killer or pine-sol on themselves. This WAS the bleach bath thread, which is a recognized treatment for Scabies-with all due respect. The bleach baths alone will work with persistence, but the oral meds will help with the more severe cases. You two can do what you like, but PLEASE NO ONE else put the weed killer or pine-sol on yourselves! Am on my way to Wal-Mart to see for myself if the Mebendazole is available there, and to check on the dosage if it is there at all. HOPEFULLY I can post good news back to this thread later. The hot-tub chemicals suggestion is VERY GOOD:)

Hi,
I am still wondering what people do with long black hair instead of bleach?
Diamatatiouse earth(has to be food grade) is great for any internal parasites, worms etc.

-I do not recommend doing that Danny. Just stick with the more recognized treatments would be my suggestion. Of course, some of the "others" will argue that, but if you want to use the sulfer in petroleum 10%, it works well. I think the bleach baths are best for Scabies if the permethrin is not available, and for the resistent strains of sarcoptic mites. Have a great day Danny!

-Lila-try tea tree oil in shampoo, if this does not do it for you, go back through this thread and look for the mayonaise and saran wrap over night treatment for the scalp. This works very well. I posted the mayonaise for the scalp treatment in detail, with the full instructions on this same thread. Diane used the turpentine oil on her scalp I think. Go back and read her post too. It is the very first post on this thread. Permethrin may also be used for the scalp. D E taken internally may kill worms, but, sad to say, it will not kill skin mites. Best Wishes Lila.

DON'T! The bleach baths will work for most. They will work for all over time. If you need the orals, look for an online pharmacy that you can contact by phone before ordering. Someone here sugested MagicPharm online.

-by the way-some of the persons here "butting in" with their CRAP have not even been diagnosed with Scabies by a DOCTOR. They hate doctors, but you can be sure that if they were having a heart attack, or were bleeding to death, they would RUN straight to a DOCTOR for help! BE REAL!

Just saw this, we must have been posting about the same time. Excellent info! & I thank you very much!
Be good to get this in print often!!!
I'm using the max of 5(1,000 mg each) per day * shooting for 6 today + using it in lotion, and now adding some Cold Pressed Castor Oil which is speeding things up even more. Using hair dryer some too--but CAUTION: things heat up FAST with the oil.
Bless Your Heart!:)
Okay so I'm having a hard time keeping up - are you using the MSM externally as well as internally? Guess I have a one track mind.

Hi Canuckette, yes, I'm using MSM both internally, and have been putting it into lotion & sometimes also adding some oils.
Picked up a # of Sulfur from garden store today, so that should be cheaper for use in lotions. Put some directly on my head.
Over the night, my head was very itchy, but better earlier today and sulfur directly on should be good.
Bought Colon Clenz at Walmart, and used 1 last night. Passed a lot of what is likely dwarf & maybe other tapeworm--hopefully heads + larger pieces than I've seen before. Plan to continue using the Colon Clenz even though at $7 for 42 capsules, it's a bit on the spendy side. Has lots of good herbs in it that I probably couldn't duplicate easily. My mail order place might have them all, but will let this go for now.
I'm having a heck of a time with who said what among those of us with similar non-scabies problems! So GLAD we're here.

Jesselyn, were you able to find the Mebendazole at Walmart, and if so, do you need a perscription?
Thanks to all who are contributing to this thread, and this forum in general. This has been a life saver for me, and I'm sure for many others, and I can't thank you enough.

I had great results from using oral suspension mebendazole but ran out. I had ordered it from New Zealand but can't wait for 6 weeks for more. I think someone here mentioned finding it in the US in the pet section.

Thank you Canuckette. I've been taking the Ivermectin horse paste and doing the bleach baths with pretty good results, but always open to new ideas, and the latest and greatest.

Wow, you guys are blowing my mind....lol. I thought I wouldn't even be able to find this blog and here it is with 20 pages, lol! Anyway, I had a hell of a time with the bleach (I lothe the way it smells) and it makes my skin dry up. So, I tried hydrogen peroxide and it quickly heals my sores and keeps them away for a while then they came back in droves, then I tried tea tree oil(professional grade), okay, so I messed up when I thought I was cured and stopped the bleach treatments, this time I'll keep up with it for like 3 or 4 months after I think I'm cured just to make sure. I can't wait to read all your blogs here. Take care & wish me luck, AGAIN.... damm I lothe these freaking things!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think I'll ever change it up anymore cause it gave them the chance to come back fierce. I use a loofa washcloth from Wal-mart & Buf-Puf (with a handle for your back) but I never thought of using a dish scruber, thats a really good idea. Thank-you everyone for letting me know that I have helped you, but I'm just sharing info. that I found here and actually works, so it goes full cycle. Luv you guys!!! and I really hope Jeannie comes back! ♥
