Hi, Unknown Enemy: I am married to someone who shows no symptoms, either, and who doesn't really take this mite thing as seriously as he should. But your partner will have to be treated right along with you whether she wants to or not, since people can be asymptomatic carriers like my husband. Go back to your doctor and ask--beg, if necessary--for Stromectol, which is Ivermectin (generic), which you can read about on a lot of these threads here. Ask for at least two treatments. I've noticed that it takes at least two treatments each of Stromectol AND perm cream at a minimum, usually more, to get rid of this thing. And you have to start cleaning your surroundings, including your clothes, coats, cars, wristwatch bands, hairbrushes, carpets, EVERYTHING, to make sure you get it the hell away from you.

And remember that if your girlfriend does not want to get treated, then she is not the one you should want to stay with. You are not alone in wanting to drop dead when you have The Mite from Hell. This mite is v-e-r-y good at convincing us that everything is hopeless and we will never get rid of it. But never surrender!!

feduptothemax. have you tried ivermectin? The folks who got to cure on this site did it with persistent treatment. I know you are a regular poster, so you are probably well aware of all of it. It's very frustrating when there are are few visible symptoms, or the symptoms are atypical and meanwhile, you're suffering. I know.
At one point, I had rings of red and purple that were dismissed by the derm! God, that is incredible.
Did your rings look like ringworm marks?

Janet in NYC is way way long gone from this forum.

She had a really bad case of scabies.

If you read her post above, you will see that when she spoke to the pharmacist there in Tampa, the pharmacist was aware of her very serious case.

She went to several doctors and was prescribed tons of ivermectin, I think also spregal, and Elimite permethrin. She emphasized Elimite because it's the best forum of permethrin (don't get the generic kind).

She beat these mites by completely throwing away any clothing she wore and bought new clothing every day. She went from one hotel to another. She told the rental agency to tow her car away. She was extremely aggressive in her treatment.

She had it bad, really bad. She also experience some delusions towards the end of her treatment, as she started to become paranoid that she would never be able to beat this, and not be able to work up in NYC.

True story.
She was afraid to touch her apartment keys, etc. She had other medical problems, too, which made it more difficult to cure.

Janet was very smart. But, your feelings are hurt because I no longer respect anything you say here on this forum. I have already told you that RK is smarter than you and has his act together. You on the other hand, don't know what's going on, really, with anyone here because you don't know them, have never talked to anyone here and you are a snob. You only know what you are reading here. Actually talk to someone on the phone and you will understand. You just can't sit and read all day. It just doesn't work that way, Fred.
I don't respect anything you say on this forum anymore. Most people here have left because anything they say, you put them down. It's just not cool.
And, of course, he is better looking than you, and you can't stand this. It bothers you so much, that you will think of something to hurt me. It doesn't matter anymore, because I don't respect anything you say. So, go on and be obnoxious. Take your meds.
Go sit in your sauna in the corner of your apartment and drink your raspberry smoothies. Post some links to some studies that not many people here bother to read because it's not the cure they are looking for. Do a cleanse, or whatever you are doing this month.

[My husband & I have been treated for scabies with the conventional Ivamectan and Lyclear. We have been through hell, scratching for a year. After 3 tries with the above and still not improving plus seeing no signs of the scabies except very irritated skin we found Spregal.

We cannot sing the praises of Spregal enough. It is the first line of defense for scabies in France.

As we were living in France and this product is available over the counter we purchased and gave ourselves two full body sprays, two weeks apart and followed the instructions, including washing all the bed linen, our clothes, towels etc. in 60 degree temp. We got immediate relief and were hesitant to do the second dose but feel it was necessary as we in have had "the bug" for 12 months.

The specialists in both Australia and France never found any signs of scabies with pathology tests nor could they find the actual bug on me but the specialist in Australia did say she saw one, under the microscope on my husband.

As everyone will report, this is an unbelievable thing to have when you are scratching night and day. Your life revolves around the infernal itch and of course, everyone tells you not to scratch.

We have now come to the conclusion that whatever strain of "scabies" we had was immune to Ivamectan and Lyclear and the ingredients of Spregal seem to have worked, together with the best moisturizer you can lay your hands on. I would recommend La Roche-Posay, Lipikar Baume AP. Living in France, this also was not expensive and readily available. The amount we used in the six months we were living there, kept the French economy buoyant! If this is too expensive, try and find something similar. It was our saving grace.

The conclusion to the above is that after the Spregal we have definitely improved and our skin is starting to settle but we still feel we have a long way to go to rid ourselves of Post Scabic eczema which the Lipikar Baume AP is our key weapon for the time being.

I do hope this helps as I found all the posts for this condition very useful and in the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep a comfort! Good luck

i have many of the symptoms of scabies and have seen 3 doctors now who all thought i have them and yet there are no clear "track" marks, no infections around my hand or feet...

I have read that the kind of mites that cats get are different from scabies and they cannot live on us just as scabies won't live on pets. None of the people i have come in close contact with have developped symptoms...I dont understand any of this...
I am in the same boat as you! I don't understand any of this either!!! 😭

My house got so infectioned with these mites. They were every where. My live in boyfriend insists he does not have them even after knowing what I have been going thru. I started out with the normal few scabies and that turned into little tiny mites coming out all over my body. Now I know he has them big time. He just doesn't see it because these don't leave sores and rarely itch. My skin in tender, his is not. He claims he itches at times and feels tiny pin pricks from his nerves due to stress. His doctor agrees. My doctor told me I was dilusional. I am sick of this. It has ruined my life. I try so hard at keeping the house sanatized and have creamed myself to death. Sometimes the iver paste doesent work on me. When it does, all the mites come running out of my skin, drink the perm, and go back into my skin. I thought the iver would just plain kill them. Then they would die outside on my skin. Is that how they are supposed to work?
Go back into my skin?
Can these Norwegian scabies reproduce outside of a h human body? Like in the crevices in the wall? Does that explain the huge amount of mites everyone where? They even got in my make up stuff and lotion bottles.
Anyway, as soon as I put perm on my skin and feel almost human, I get instantly reinfected. It only gets worse for me. I have to move!
