I used it twice as directed by the dermatologist and it didn't work. But she only told me to change the bedding too. So I never cleaned the car, the couch, my shoes, or anything else for that matter. I think it would work if apples for two days, clean everything, and reapply for two more days five days later. May work for you. I'm going on four months now with them so don't think it would help me though lol.

Really?

My friend did NOTHING close to that and lost them all. His whole family didn't get any, and he slept on the couch, his bed, sat on their sofa and everything. And yet NO one else got it besides him, and he's still fine? Please stop being ignorant and posting nonsense.

Question for the pros, Last week I wasn't feel itchy a single bit, but this week I feel slightly itchy here and there, is it just post scabies? I don't feel them crawling, atleast I hope I don't.

Ah screw it, I still have scabies.

I forgot to do my last dose of the cream but I ran out before I could because my ex-gf needed it too.

I used permethrin cream 5% 2 nights in a row, followed by a shower 8hr later them i used vitamin e oil from head to toe,i washed all bedding and clothes daily, cleaned and sprayed my bedroom along with my bed,box spring, and frame with home defense max and so far the itching has gone from 100% to 30% here and there. i will continue to wash all bedding and use the vitamin e oil daily for the next two week along with 1 more treatment of permethrin cream and i pray this will be the end of my little infestation

__________

Good for your friend. EXCEPT it may be a month or more AFTER his infestation that the rest of the family begin to show symptoms, depending on their exposure to him and to the furniture. My friend that passed it to me--got it from a SOFA.

The protocol is standard for the infestation if it has existed in your house for long. Your insult was ugly and really uncalled for.

I hope it is a little infestation, for your sake! I know the parasites feast on sweet blood. If you drink allot of alcohol or eat allot of sugar, this makes a very desirable environment for scabies.

Mosquitoes are always attracted to me, so I am guessing I am a very prone to them.

My friends both have cloth sofa's, and I got it from my friends girlfriends brother's nasty behind.

I'm going to restart my cream, cover head to toe for a night, shower, wash ALL bedding and clothing, and wait 2 weeks to apply again.

There is alot of details to rid the scabies mite. You can find pages of information in this free e-book www.scabieshelp.com on just how to get the job done. It takes about 45 days once you understand just what has to be done. It just is not a fast process since once eggs have been laid they can hatch every 2-3 days for a couple of mo. So be persistent, patient & thorough.

Me Too- If you had scabies for as long as you make it seem, maybe its because you need to have better hygeine. Basically every "tip" youve given is a myth. And your matter of fact way of preaching that nonsense is ridiculous.

Stephanie,
Me Too has been off this forum for about 4 weeks now, so you are preaching to the choir. But, from what I remember, she did, at times give some good advice.

It is a well known fact that bacteria, viruses, and parasites mutate! That pharmacist is uneducated about the mutation, as are most doctors.

Don't think resistance is real? READ THIS ARTICLE.

Scabies: Molecular Perspectives and Therapeutic Implications: Permethrin Resistance

http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/577232_6

AND MAKE SURE YOU DON'T MISS THIS PORTION OF IT:

"In 1994, before widespread permethrin treatment was introduced, all mites were killed within 30 min of in vitro exposure to permethrin.[35] By the year 2000, however, 35% of mites were alive after 3 h of exposure and a significant proportion remained alive overnight.[27]"

It's real people, it's here. And as a master's degree nursing student studying public health and epidemiology, I can tell you this storm is brewing. It is becoming an epidemic.

I have permethtin resistant scabies. 8 applications reduced the population, but did not eradicate them. 5 doses of stromectol is helping a lot, but I can't say if I'm cured yet. I still get bites, although not as often.

It's been about a month since my brother and I got treated with permethrin cream for scabies. I'm a very paranoid type person and every little itch, I'm quick to jump and think that I've gotten the scabies back. When I scratch I don't get the little bumps that I did when I first found out I had them, so I'm not too too paranoid. How long is the random itching supposed to last after the initial treatment? Or how long after should I be worried that I still have them or got them again? And again, I know that my itching could just be random type itching, but honestly, I don't remember how often I itched before I had scabies...HELP!

it can last a long time, they call it "The 7 year itch", i must have did the treatment 6 times in total, i got paranoid over and over again that i never got rid of them, i get "the itch" once a month, which is expected in post-scabies, feel fine and wonderful all the time, i also have psoriasis, and that parasites threw my skin into overdrive, but my skin is slowly healing back to normal, i know that they are gone cause i don't get the biting as i always did before, i don't think there's an actual resistance, i'm pretty sure the gov't would not screw around on an epidemic, do the treatment right, clean, clean, clean and just relax, it works! don't over do treatments like i did, i did a lot of damage doing 6 treatments in a 2 month span, it's been 3 months since i did the last treatment and me and my gf are feeling great, no itching, bumps come and disappear quickly as they came

This is very bad considering permethrin treatments are known to have play in causing neurological issues and are only recommended to use twice 7 days apart. You should be using sulfur treatments if the permethrin fails. You can get some online at http://ScabiesReview.com
Thunder Bay,

I see you are STILL at it here on this forum. Years ago, you were selling a "scabies book," educating us on how to get rid of scabies in 24 hours. Now you have a website full of products that are way overpriced. Unless someone has a light case of scabies, your products won't work. Quit spamming this forum.
