Hi everyone I am still working at getting rid of mine they are so much better then they were at 60 years old I have under gone all of their hell and finally my seventh doctor, one of the 6 a dermatalgiest, 7th dr. has finally helped. 3 times with the P cream at 80.00, that's at wallmart, never worked and 3 other lotion potions didn't help lindane helped and rubbing on horse paste ivemectin helped the best at 4.95 a tube, I weight 118 and needed 3 tubes a day, ur hair needs one alone, yes they are everywhere on the body. Eyes ears nose included that's inside the nose eyes and ears they made scales all over one large area after another I doctored up with aloe vitimins e hemp lotion four months later a real doctor not really knowing a lot but there to learn and help all of you helping each other helped me learn thank you I'm on my sixth oral ivemectin, one pill for each 30 pounds, on alternating days , day 1,2, 3, skip 3 days then again on day 7,8,9, skip tell the 15th day then the 21, then the 27. I alternate lotions at the same time, clove and coconut, then lindane, then horse paste, then urea, then hope, pray, and still feel movement in hands the toes and just a few in different places 24 pills later. After 2 or 3 days of cleaning I move again, been doing that for months and I let the car sit for 4 days after cleaning and walk or take a bus it's been a long lessons of trials. There's so much more to say, the health stores help with sulfer and neem and tea tree and peppermint ect ect ect I have thousands spent 8 of us got it from a pig. The pigs are still on the farm the farm entertains family's everyday I pray for each person for the next victims for the last ones. Six in our family got rid of scabies pretty quick ours has lasted the longest mine the worse with the black flacks small white puss string things scales covered myself in 10% iadine, borax baths half cups of bleach even organic bug spray used 44 percent advantax blue dog stuff on my hair that worked mixed it with the two percent sulfer shampoo from the hair dresser supply store I never could find strong sulfer soap, but I bought at least ten other brands, lavendar, black soap green soap each anywhere from 8.00 to 16.00 a bottle or bar. Bathed in a & m with Oxie was orange from turmeric, yellow from sulfer, used tar pine soap, Ben gay, the ocean mineral soap the pools 90 percent alcahal ate garlic rubbed on garlic walnut oil cypress oil lavendar oil used windex. I'm tired I'm broke I'm pissed off at doctors, people who do t care, people who treat you bad, people who do not lime dip their mange pets. I think their should be a shot for this I think the goverment has not done testing to help people I. The states for a long time I watched the price go up from fifty a tube to eighty a tube for P cream and no body wanting to give percriptions for oral ivemectin. Uneducated doctors not educating the selfs to help is un forgivable what would I do now if I could change the past: get on the phone and call doctor after doctor office demand they no what u have & take the best one not afraid to try to see you through each lotion that might not work and get you on oral ivemectin just as soon as you need it but then it was a pharmacist that told me what ivemectin was for me to even no what to ask for and this group that taught me bout feed stores this is a awful nightmare and people un duly suffer may each of you be blessed and get over this quickly may I please keep having less and less movement dear lord 3 more treatments and/or I repeat them all again, I really hope not, I count each day. No more bites today I say to myself, less black specks, no more white puss much less movement on my hands, face, feet. Is this it????

Print error it's just one percent Lindane not ten. Sorry anyway what I truly wanted to say is a deep heart felt thank you to all of you who write in to educate and help and yes some like my two nine year old grandchildren used the p cream at 80.00 a tube it worked thank you god and three daughters chose 3 different ways to get rid of it we all bathed in borax mineral salts Dead Sea and oils and alcahal and peroxside we all used the P cream and one used a hunters tick spray meant for clothing wrapped herself up for three days before washing it off. The dermatalgiest I used lied and said their was no linger Lindane in the U S she lied prescribed a itch cream, then said if it didn't work go see a rash dr. Patty, are you a doctor? Or just a self-styled "expert"? I will have to doubt your medical expertise until you let us know your qualifications. It seems to me that the people who can't get rid of scabies are the ones who keep posting on these forums, thus continually feeding their paranoia. Just looking at this forum makes me feel itchy. And if you have something happening on your scalp, you may want to get a lice treatment.
Just so that you know I just came home from being diagnosed with scabies....and I'm gonna tell you these people are right .your ignorant....the only place I have them is all overt head and neck and shoulders.....and it's not lice......scabies don't discriminate...skin is skin ...doesn't matter if its on your head or your foot!!!! Scabies don't know the difference!!!!

Update: six & a half months. 7th dr said, ur cured. And also said, I helped you, u do not have insurance, I paied cash, so start seeing someone else. I have money, I am smart, I research, I will get insurance again, soon, had insurance a year ago, in Calif, at 1,200, a month, great insurance, left state, so no more insurance, new job. Life goes on. I NO longer have scabies. I DO have a type of fungus & or yeast, I'm working on it with the wellness store & I am working on raising my PH it is currently at 6.25. I'm very healthy, I thought, but the scabies turned I to crusted scales of thousands of mites. No scales now. I'm repairing the damage one day at a time. One person at a time, each telling their stories & helpn each other has been God sent to me. I use salt in my bath, thank you someone, I bath in borax, and olive oil, still use sulfer shanpoo twice a week. I still use peroxside in my bath & I still take a Ivemectin one pill once a week, on Sundays, to thank God always, I have no more white fungus worm like puss things sticking out, I give creit to taking Olive Leaf exstract each day. I still have some black specks but oh what a reduction!! I eat a teaspoon of DE food grade, found at well ess stores, a day. A 1/8 of a teaspoon of Boax mixed in grate fruit juice or green juice, its vegetable juice, a cup of aloe juice, a 1/8 of teaspoon baking soda mixed into lots of distilled water, I drink lots of water!! I put baking soda in my bath too. I rub DE food grade, I only use DE food grade, with grape seed oil, some aloe lotion, some salt, what ever salt I have, mineral, Dead Sea, table, Epsom & I rub it on my skin when I feel anything, even if its my emaganation working over time. Someone said and listed a lot of vitimins to take to feel better and re build your body's "terrain" I mix & match each day taking something Including cinnamon, raw honey, cloves capsules. I've seen sparkles on my skin, treads, scales, crusts, even a fungus worm with a black speck head, not scarded anymore. I'm fighting back!! I was and iron my cloths, after each use & vacuumed my car I use ammonia on my floors and clean my tub with bleach. I thank all of you & dear father God most of all & my father for listening, for all of you that we're descent in my life's path, thank you. And 4 those I leave behind who stopped caring, never helped, or who walked the other way, you taught me to never ever be that way. Unforgivable!

As for those doctors who will give you ivemectin, I found after some 70 pills the best protacal for me was, 1 and a half dose of my weight, just once, so that for me was seven pills. One pill every thirty pounds is four or five pills, just once I took seven, woke up & the scabies In my eyes and ears and up my nose were gone, then followed by one single ivemectine pill each day on a empty and or at the same time as eating something fatty, and gulped gratefruit juice and or ate grate fruit each day for 14, Fourteen days In. A Row was my best shot!! Then just one pill each week for another 7 weeks. It's a lot of pills but it worked. My liver was tested and was good and still is good and now I take a liver cleaner, love them, it has white thistle. No dr seemed to no a good pulse program for crusted scabies that was mine, my own made up, program, with all my studies and all those who wrote in to help each other over the years. Thank you, that one worked for me. A long time pharmacists told me about Ivemectin, thank you. A confection desease dr didn't know but trusted me and gave me a percription. Thank you. United States help people dam it, have studies, you will get volentears, LEARN!! You dr's that are willing to help see it through! The P cream that didn't work for me went up in price from fifty to eighty wallmart! Shame on you. Taking sulfer off the market in twenty percent - shame on you, so get the powder & mix your own. Take MSM sulfer pills In ternally fight it on the outside and on the inside. Ivemectin liquid ten percent worked for me when several other RX percriptions did not work for me. The queens army of 200 soldiers got scabies in April 2013. We need shots to prevent this suffering epidemic. I lost weight I'm doing better, my skin was scarded and purple it's doing better. My mind was fogged & depressed its gotten better my hair got thin, I cut it short after so much breakage it looks better. What works for some may not work for others, fight it anyway you can!! My best regards my blessings sent to you all.

The ivemectin ten percent I used as a topical. Sometimes I mixed it with aloe or a DE grape seed oil mix and rubbed it all over. While taking the Ivermectin pills internally. I wasn't happy about having to spend so much money or using all these weird things I had never heard of before but as the scabies got worse I couldn't just use termeric & lice soaps & bottles of tea tree oil, they just were not strong enough to kill my scabies so it kept getting worse. I had to continue to try to use any ideas people wrote in with. My skin with no surprise has been damaged & is fighting its own battle with my help of eating more raw veggies & taking good vitimins. What are the black specks to me.... I think it's mite die-off & the white is fungus of some sort or yeast maybe. Something ex spelling from inside my body. I've read about people saying its fly larva, I really see no proff of that. Although I have a few very small black specks still they are becoming fewer each day and with no bites or crawlies no jumping no burrows no red marks, rashes, scales, or itching, I'm going to keep putting my money into each week healthy foods & natural vitimins for each organ of my body I too wish more people came back to say how they are doing now but I do understand the need to forget this nightmare called resistant scabies.

i agree with th "DO NOT READ FORUMS"!!!! I had bee suffering with scabies since October and started researching online for methods to rid myself of this hell!! I tried EVERYTHING...bleach baths followed by immediately applying tea tree oil. Then I tried neem oil, more bleach baths, ear mite drops for my dog, alcohol, undilited bleach applications to my sores, clorox wipes, selsun blue treatments (which really burned me). I finally went to a doctor and received 2 tubes of peretherin 5%. I srtarted the the treatement and wam very hopefule. a majority of sufferers have in fact killed the mites and are simply experiencing post scabie symptons and possible follicilitus...or post scabies eczema. I seriously desensitized my skin and its simply trying to heal. I advise everybody, get the permetherin, follow the instructions and dont do ANYTHING else. Simply moisturize your skin with vitamin e lotion. DO NOT apply any other "home remedies" You will only do more damage. Sadly, Im a nursing student and I should have just folowed my gut instincts and not become so paranoid. Permetherin with dry out your skin and the tching you feel and the new bumps are simply dead mites and fecal matter. Post scabies can identically mimic *live* scabies. LET YOUR SKIN HEAL for 1 mos before goining overboard.
Just try rubbing ur body in lice shampoo for 8 hours. Worked for me

This forum helped me the most. I didn't have traditional scabies, but mites are mites. If someone can't be a rational adult and is horrified and scared of this or any other forum, then be a rational adult and choose not to come here.
I went through a 1 and a 1/2 year nightmare with skinmites and this forum was a lifeline of good information and caring people. I can always choose not to use a product that is suggested. It's one of the freedoms of living in a free country.
Permethrin DID NOT WORK FOR ME. PERIOD. And it has a high failure rate in UK studies. I used it as prescribed two or three times in the first week. It did NOTHING. ZIP. NADA. I naturally turned to doctors and nurses in the beginning and was WOEFULLY disappointed in them. And expecting to get all my information from an egotistical Western medicine god who only has two minutes per appointment is nuts. I like having information at my fingertips and the internet is a great resource. Why be scared of it? Knowledge is power.
Ivermectin orally, sulfur cream, Best Yet by Cedarcide, Arm and Hammer powdered laundry detergent, Borax are some of the products that helped me the most.
I just want to say this I had scabies as a child I dnt remember what it was like tho and now I hqve two step kids one 7 and one 3 when I first arived here with them they already had it and we didnt know it but we took them to their doctor and he told us it was scabies but what I dont understand is and I asked him this he never did answer though is why do the kids have the bumps and sours but myself their father and grandparents dont and we hold them and bathe them and are always in yhe same areas they are im confused

I told myself that if I ever got rid of scabies, I would post here to give people some peace of mind. First, if you have been diagnosed with scabies, DO NOT READ THESE FORUMS! I am serious. It will only make you go crazy; half the stuff on here is crap from people who have either already gone scabies-crazy or don't know what they're talking about.
Here's what happened to me:
I started getting itchy bumps in September. First time the doctor told me it was a viral rash that would go away on its own. A month later, he said it was folliculitis and gave me antibiotics. A few weeks later when it didn't go away, he gave me stronger antibiotics (not fun). I finally convinced him to treat me for scabies in case that's what it was.
Beginning in December, I did four applications of permethrin, each one week apart. For each of the first two times, I used half of the 60g tube. The last two times, I used a whole tube each time. I washed my bedding after each application, and all my clothes in hot water and dried on high heat.
But here's the kicker: YOU WILL STILL GET BUMPS EVEN WHEN YOU'RE CURED. There is actually medical research on this. You continue to get bumps for about eight weeks after treatment. This is an allergic reaction to the mites and eggs being pushed out of your body. The bumps may or may not itch, but it's not the same as scabies itching, and they usually go away quickly (i.e. by the next day).
Yes, I kept getting concerned that scabies was back, that I was not cured, but it has now been almost three months since I began treatment and I assure you, they are gone. No more itching, red bumps or anything. Don't despair, it will go away through normal treatment. You just have to be patient and realize that once you've done permethrin, you will still get bumps for awhile, but it's not scabies!
And stop reading these forums! Hope that helps.

Yes mine did also, it's been 2 years. I'm pretty sure I went overboard with the washing/drying & cleaning but I was too freaked out to care. I still have skin issues, and due to nerve damage have to take pain meds which make me itch! My BFF just came down with the worst case of scabies I've ever seen and frankly I told her "I'll see you in a month" after she is scabie free..she has the attitude that its no big deal....UGH!!!! My family (Fiance and 2.5 yr old son) were just diagnosed with it on Friday... My son started getting the bumps first 3 days prior... We did our treatment Friday. On that day I hardly any bumps... Maybe 7 total on my whole body... I now have probably 30+... My son hasn't gotten any new bumps since the treatment just myself and his dad. I have them on the top of my left foot the WORST! They are tolerable throughout the day but at night they wake us all 3-4 times and are just miserable... We washed all our bedding, towels and clothes we wore up to 4 days prior to being diagnosed, vacuumed as well. It is -degrees up here at night currently so we bagged alot of clothes and threw them all outside, our pillows as well went out as we have heard freezing weather for 12+ hours will kill them as well... If I could tough the cold for that long I'd stand out there in bathing suit! But I'd end up with hyperthermia and frost bite and don't need that as well! I hope this treatment and the one next week is it! I pray we don't get reinfected!

The truth is, depending on how allergic you are to these mites, depends on how it spread, how bad it itches, and how it is cured. Being afraid or having anxiety about this is not worth it, if you knew how many parasites were out there, this would just be a thing for you. Scabies can be introduced from sexual contact, to just sitting on a seat or using a hairbrush that has been used by an infected individual. I had scabies for about three days, and by instantly treating it as scabies other then going to the doctor to hear their opinion I was able to take them head on. ( I am not allergic to mostly anything, nor can I even get poison ivy) So it was pretty easy to figure it out. Soaking in a bath, after dry off very well, and apply your choice of medication to the area, then apply a cold cloth to the area, even applying it to areas that were previously infected, I was able to get rid of my scabies in a matter of days. They can spread randomly, go away, and resurface. Also my scabies never scabbed nor did they blister, just little red bumps, and yes they can be active during the day.... Also make sure to clean your living quarters, throw away hairbrushes down to old pillows that can't be washed. Insecticide is a must also if you want to clear those buggers out if they are infesting sofas, mattresses, even hats. Best thing to remember is the quicker you attack this, the quicker of an outcome you will see, the longer you wait, the deeper they get into you, more eggs they lay, and the more your skin will suffer. ENJOY

You kin dooit.:-) Here's some guidance I hope will help:

Please read the CDC articles below on how to treat your environment & yourself. Go to an urgicare place ($100). Tell them you came into contact with someone with crusted scabies and that you were advised to seek immediate proactive treatment regardless of any lack of symptoms. This will save you much grief in trying to convince typically sceptic MDs. If your case is light, two treatments a week apart of permethrin 5% cream applied, after showering & drying, EVERYWHERE but immediately around the eyes. Leave on 8-14 hours. Wash clothes and refer to CDC guidance on other cleaning. Upon awaking, wash bedding, deposit clothes directly into wash, shower & wear disposable gloves while doing additional cleaning. If heavier infestation, be sure you are prescribed Ivermectin as well, 200 micrograms per Kg of body weight, twice a week apart. Same cleaning required with each treatment. If extremely severe & very crusted, day 1/2/7/8/14/15/22/29 Ivermectin & permethrin, plus permetrin daily for first week, then twice a week after until cured. Use alcohol to swab personal items, bag items for 4 days, follow the CDC guidance. Don't try to beat this with some of the hocus pocus on these boards. Both of the drugs referenced above can be harmful, ivermectin can cause seizures, permethrin is a neurotoxin that can make you a bit slow, so get a Drs guidance, but inform yourself & come prepared to refer them to these links if some prodding is needed to provoke action by Drs often more focused on covering their behinds.(Seizures &/or brain damage = lawsuit; suffering from scabies prolonged by failure to treat = Unlikely to ever be provably linked back to the Dr)
